Chapter 19: Difficult to deal with

She walked into her room and slam the door while Claudius just ignore her and sat on the bed.
The guards took Ephesus to his room where the maids tucked him to bed.
" Do you have your bath at all?" He asked with a disgusting look and the maid who was tucking him in bed shuddered. She looked around to see if she was the one he was talking to.
All the maids working under Claudius and Sarah knows that Ephesus is an arrogant boy. Unmannered and mischievous. He had even empty his plates of food on their head before and even asked some of them to kiss his foot.
" I'm talking to you bitch" he said and the maid bow her head In embarrassment. If she can remember, she just have her bath not quite long before she came to his chamber.
" I do your highness" She reply nervously while the others peek at her from where they're standing. They knew she is in trouble and if care is not taken, she might end up in his bed tonight. Many of them has been his victim before and it's not a sweet experience to them. Ephesus punish the maids for any slight mistake or no mistake by sleeping with the maids forcefully. He is sixteen and had already slept with half of the maids in their quarters. The maids can't speak up because they end up being locked up by Sarah. She always support Ephesus in everything he does, be it good or bad. She don't care about others feelings as long his son is happy and gets what he wants.
" Then why do you smell like a rotten egg?" He asked disgustingly and the maid bite her lips. The humiliation she receives from him wants to make her cry.
" Go away. Get out and don't come closer to me. Dirty girl" He sneared at her and the maid scurried out of the room in shame. She was glad she is out of his room. She really can't wait to get out of this hell of a place.
" Are you going to stand there all night?" He asked and the maids who were standing quickly smell themselves before rushing to his bed side.
Sarah walk to and fro in the room with her hair packed into a lose bun. She wore a jealous expression on her face and Claudius could tell she is still mad at what happened earlier at the royal dinner.
" Must you put food in her plate? I even asked you to pass the salt to me but you ignored me for her. Is she prettier than me or you're just doing that on purpose?" Sarah asked turning to face Claudius and Claudius just wave his hand at her. He is not in the mood for her ranting and all of that. He just want to calm down and think of a way to deal with the princess for calling him an old man and asking him to shut up. If he can recall, her father the king is older than him. Hector was his target before but seems the princess is trying to be a barrier to his plan. Of he don't put her in her place now, then he will have to worry about her later. He don't want anything that will ruin his plans or delay his plans. He has a lot of plans in his sleeves and he don't want any of them to fail.
" If that is your problem for now you can continue ranting" Claudius reply with a distant voice and Sarah frown her face. She was expecting him to feel her how much he loves Helen but seems like she was dissappointed.
" I'm not going to rant. She is least of my problems for now." Sarah snaps and sat in front of her dressing mirror with her legs crossed over each other.
" Then stop talking about her and think about your problems" Claudius tells her and she raised her brows slightly.
She place her hand under her jaw and look at Claudius who is sitting gracefully on the bed. She wonder why Claudius is not handsome like Hector.
' maybe his mother genes are bad' she thought to herself before looking away.
" I think the princess is becoming difficult to deal with. Just look at the way she speaks to us back their at the royal dinner. She even called you an old man and ask both of us to shut up" Sarah said furiously pointing her hands to the door and Claudius watch her demonstrate while she speaks. He must admit she looks dramatic anytime she is upset. Every woman is dramatic, some just have their different role to play.
" Don't forget she also said she will twist your mouth for you" Claudius reminds her. He knows Sarah purposely skipped that because she is too embarrassed to say it in his presence.
" Yeah I know. Erm... I know she said that and that is why I'm very angry. I should be the one telling her those words and not the other way round" Sarah enunciated spreading her hands widely in the air.
" I think she needs more lesson to learn. We need to teach her a lesson she would never forget so that next time she sees us, she will know how t control that disgusting princess mouth of hers" Sarah said sternly with hatred written all over her face. Sometimes she wish she can just strangle the princess to death. She always annoys her with her presence and her words. She thought accusing her of seeing men in the woods will bring her down but it didn't, rather it seems like it gave her more courage to talk back at her.
" I thought you were planning to go to the outskirt to tell people her dirty secrets?" Claudius asked and Sarah's face light up all of a sudden.
" Yes! With the people on our side, we can bring her down and destroy her reputation." Sarah clamp her hands together and jump up from the chair which she almost fell to the floor.

At the royal dinning hall –
After Claudius and his family left. Queen Hector gave princess Diana a glare and Diana frown her face at her.
" When did you lack your manners Diana?" Queen Hector asked and Diana just shrug her shoulders. Seems like she was expecting that from her so she wasn't surprised with her mother's question.
" Right from the day Sarah accused me of what I didn't do" Diana reply with a firm and distant voice and Queen feels like her mate just talked back at her.
