Chapter 17) PERSEPHONE In Dilemma

Shakti was staring at the sky with her wet eyes . Dhawal left her alone in Delhi and went with his boyfriend . She was heart broken but didn't show on her face.

Shakti came out of the airport and hailed a cab and went to an address . She rang the bell and the person opened the door . She was nervous and playing with her kurti . She did a blunder and wanted to clarify Everything that's why she decided to come to meet him .

"DurgShakti ?" ... ,, That old man asked who opened the door . Shakti Nodded her head and he gave her the pass to
entered into the big house and sat down on the seat .

"Hukum (Your Highness) Will come soon" .... ,, That man said and left her

Shakti was scared to meet him after that incident . Her mind is full of incidents what happened a week ago at Yuvaan's wedding reception party .

How shamelessly she announced that Dhawal was her boyfriend Infront of YUVRAAJ .

When dizziness hit her Dhawal was the one who scooped her and she took a relief breathe because Rudra was busy in glaring at her with red angry eyes . Dhawal made excuses and they came back to her house .

Her father and brother were Angry at her but didn't say anything to her but his brother was always picking up on Dhawal .

Next day both Dhawal and Shakti left for Delhi . Her father wanted her to get married to their choice but Shakti didn't say a word to them and directly came back to Delhi but the next day, a phone call disturbed her peace .

And now she was here to meet that Person who contacted her for some important work .

"SHAKTI!" ... ,, His thick manly voice boomed and she looked at the person . She stood up from her seat and nodded her head

"How are you ?" ... ,, He asked her

"I'm fine Mr . Rathore" ... ,, Shakti said and He laughed and signal her to sit down

"Really Shakti ?Mr . Rathore ? I thought we were family" ... ,, Yudhishthir said and she looked down

"Call me bhaiya because We are family now . You're my baby brother's fiancee" ... ,, Yudhishthir said and Shakti didn't know what to say to him so she looked here and there

Yudhishthir and Yuvaan both were very wise men with golden hearts who loved his family very much but they were also very cunning businessmen in Corporate World .

Yudhishthir understood her dilemma and he came to the point , "Shakti ! I want you to work for me".


"Bhaiya ! What are you trying to say ? ... ,, Shakti asked and Yudhishthir put some files infront of her and signal her to read . She took file and started to read the papers were tucked in it .

"I know your reasons Shakti . Why you left the marriage hall and with whom you were at that night . I have your full information"  , Yudhishthir said to her

Shakti turned the pages and found herself in few pictures . She didn't Understand Yudhishthir points and she closed the file and directly looked at him .

"When you left your house after the night of your Marriage . Mother-in-law of your best friend came to meet your father and revealed about the situation . Your father and brother both were very ashamed of the way they hurt you" ... , Yudhishthir explained everything to her but she was impatient because of the story he was saying to her .

Sha didn't want to talk about that night but Yudhishthir was elder than her and she was respecting him

"I do not understand your point bhaiya" ... ,, Shakti said in her asusual calm tone

"Dhawal was your house mate and he treated you like his sister . I know this information but not your family and I think Rudra too doesn't have this knowledge about your white lies" ... ,, Yudhishthir was trapping her in his words 

Shakti clutched her dress tightly . Her heart was racing crazily because of the revelation of truth .

"Rudra hates liars" .... ,, Yudhishthir measured her expression and said

Now these words made her freeze because she hide about Dhawal from her family too . She did not have any friends that with whom she shared her past but Dhawal was special to her , A Man with open heart who supported her and gave shelter , food and clothes . She was in debts of him but he never show any negativity to her

"What do you want Bhaiya and what kind of work are you talking about ?" ... ,, Shakti asked and rubbed her sweaty palms

"It's very Simple Shakti. Just 'GIVE AND TAKE' " .... ,, Yudhishthir said and Shakti rose her brows at his words

"I'll give you new wings to fly and you'll be able to fulfill  your dreams but you have to work for me" ... ,, Yudhishthir words were making her restless . She nodded her head and Yudhishthir continue to say

"I have three works for you . It's optional but you have to choose one out of three" .... ,, Yudhishthir said and looked intensly at her

Yudhishthir knew he was playing with his brother's life but after what happened with Mompi, Yudhishthir didn't want to let any woman of his family to get hurt by any means .

"What do I have to do and what I'll get in return and most importantly why should I do whatever you are asking me to do ?" ... ,, Shakti asked and reasonate the facts with him but He was Rathore and Sharp businessman so he just have her a small smile in return .

She  maintained her calm tone Infront of Yudhishthir and looked directly at him

"I have a very good reason for this Shakti. Firstly You are HomeBound or simply say Bound to us . Second You're the fiancee of Rudra Singh Rathore and the Third and the most important reason is "You are the Daughter-In-Law of RATHOREs " .. ,, Yudhishthir finished speaking and shakti gulped down nervously .

His words were like a mountain who dropped suddenly on her shoulder .

"Bhaiya ! What do you want me to do ?" ... ,, Her voice was shaking . Yudhishthir knew he needed to control every matter of  his family in his hands otherwise he would never Trapped Shakti in the web of his words .

Yudhishthir was just fulfilling his duty and Promises . Duty of a son and Promises what he gave to his Father as a Rathore .

"I'll give triple amount of Salary and a complete safe zone . No one will ever find out about you and your real identity" ... ,, Yudhishthir said and was hoping her to got success in this meeting

"But I want to study and don't like this James Bond Game ?" .... ,, Shakti said and he nodded and smiled softly at her

"That's why I organized a scholarship for you under the name of KASHYAPs" ... ,, Yudhishthir said and she looked confusedly at him

"Kashyap ?" ... ,, Shakti asked him

"Yes! Arjun Kashyap. He is my brother" ... ,, Yudhishthir said and the look she gave him .

He knew she didn't have much confidence about this matter so he continued to explain

"And trustworthy too" ... ,, Yudhishthir finished and Shakti was thinking about all these things

"What do I have to do ?" ... ,, Shakti asked panickly but made herself composed

"I'm giving you three works . Choose one from them" ... ,, Yudhishthir said and She Nodded

First : Choose to work as a Creative Head in K&K CORPORATION

Second : Be a spy and work secretly for me

Third : Marry Rudra

Yudhishthir finished speaking and Shakti started laughing .

"Bhaiya ! Are you kidding me ? I mean Spy ? Work as a creative head and the last one is a bomb Marry Rudra ?" .... ,, Shakti spoke and wiped her tears which were formed in the corner of her eyes

But Yudhishthir was Silently observing her and she closed her mouth and breathe deeply

"Bhaiya ! I'm sorry but I can't do these things" .... ,, Shakti said

"Oh okay! then I'll tell your father that you are not willing to marry Rudra so he should find another alliance for you ?" ... ,, Yudhishthir said and she freeze

"W.  W. What d . do you mean ?" ... ,, Shakti stuttered because of the Weightage of his words

"Shakti ! You still have my Choti Maa's ring in your finger and that's belongs to you but if you and Rudra won't get married then Obviously Your father will try to find some other suitable boy for your Marriage and it's true that you can't break your bond with your father . He is still suffering from the mistake he made to you" .... ,, Yudhishthir said and tears started to fall From her cheeks

"Rudra hates me because I ran away from the wedding" ... ,, Shakti said and cleared her throat

"Rudra has a soft heart for women . He can never hurts anyone without reasons and about hating you so my little sister . Hate is a very big word and very heavy too in comparison of Love . And I can guarantee you that Rudra isn't Hating you but I agree to you . He has anger issues" .... ,, Yudhishthir finished and gave his handkerchief to her . She wiped her tears and looked down at the floor

"I'm giving you a week .. Think properly" ... ,, Yudhishthir said and smile mentally at his work

"Don't you have any other options because I don't want to play lady James Bond and secondly I don't have any Desire to marry Rudra or any other man" ... ,, Shakti tried to explain herself but Yudhishthir shook his head negatively

"Your father wants his daughter back . Are you willing to go back to Rajasthan and get married to the boy of your father's choice" .... ,, Yudhishthir asked and she shook her head and Yudhishthir smiled mentally for his win

"You can't go anywhere, Shakti . You are Laxmi (Goddess) of our family" ... ,, Yudhishthir thought while looking at her sad face

This was the telephonic conversation between Yudhishthir and Yuvaan . Yuvaan was on his honeymoon that's why Yudhishthir was handling every matter personally.



"Does she agree with our plan ?"... ,, Yudhishthir asked

"Kind off  but she will soon trust me Brother" ... ,, Yudhishthir replied

"Hmm but it's really important for us" . ... ,,  Yuvaan said

"Yes ! After what happen to Mompi . It's unbelievable" ... ,, Yudhishthir said

"I handle the matter of SuryaNarayan and I got a beautiful wife in exchange" ... ,, Yuvaan said and Yudhishthir laughed

"Jyotika will kill you if you talk like this about her Younger sister" ... ,, Yudhishthir said and both brothers laughed

"How's our Baby Brothers ? (He was talking about Neil , Arjun and Rudra)" ... ,, Yuvaan asked

"Rudra and Arjun both are working hard on the case of VIKRANTH and Neil , he seems very off nowadays".... ,, Yudhishthir said

(Neil was drowned himself in business just to stay away from little Aashmaan and Orphanage)

"But why ? Business is going well" ... ,,  Yuvaan asked

"Leave this matters to me . You should enjoy your honeymoon" ... ,, Yudhishthir said

"Keep updating me" ... ,, Yuvaan said and they cut the call

Yudhishthir was keeping his eyes on every steps of  Rudra , Arjun , Neil , Shakti and Vikranth too but he missed the important point of Aashmaan and he never had any idea about Pashika being related to Mayank (Arjun's father) that she had any past connection with Vikrant .

Both Rathore brothers missed two important things and they all suffered much in their lives
