Why do you want us to leave
Chapter Thirteen
Why Do You Want Them To Leave?
"What exactly happened in high school? Why do you hate Hailey so much? At most you dislike her that's fine. But you keep saying that you hate her. What exactly did she do to you?" Mike asked.
Boris shifted his eyes away. He did not want to talk about this embarrassing moment of his life.
"You don't need to know about that. All that you need to know is that I will never...ever forgive Hailey for the rest of my life! She's a terrible person!" Boris said angrily. He will never forgive Hailey!
Mike looked at Boris but he didn't say anything. He was determined to get to the bottom of this. But he was sure about one thing.
Boris doesn't really hate Hailey. Right now, he is more confused of his own feelings. It's actually much more simple than he thinks
"What are you looking at me for? Where are the rooms? Take me to mine. I want to see it" Boris said. He did not like thinking about Hailey. She always has a way to make him feel vulnerable.
Boris had already decided that he is going to disgust Hailey. He wanted to make sure that the room he will be staying in is comfortable. Only then will he be in the frame of mind to disgust her.
"Wait, you want to see the room? You aren't kicking up a fuss because you don't want to leave here anymore?" Mike asked. Why does Boris change his mind faster than a three year old?
Mike was already somewhat used to Boris attitude over the years. He had the attention span of a three year old child.
"Of course I don't want to stay here! I badly want to leave. However, Hailey doesn't want me to stay here so I'm going to stay. She said that me leaving will be doing her a favour. Why should I do her a favour?! I don't want to! As long as it's something that can make Hailey feel terrible, I'm more then ready to do it!" Boris had a silly grin on his face.
"So what, you are telling me right now that you are going to stay here, not because you want to, but because Hailey doesn't want you to? All because Hailey doesn't want you to stay, you are going to do something that even you don't want?" Mike asked.
Even Mike was shocked at Boris thought. He really wanted to open Boris brain and see what he is thinking in his head.
Boris nodded his head happily like he had done something right.
"Of course! As long as it's something that can make Hailey unhappy, I'm more than ready to do it! She doesn't want me to stay, so I'm going to stay!" He felt proud of his "master plan"
Besides, Boris thought that this is the perfect time for him to get back revenge for all the things that she had said to him in high school!
Mike was not in the mood to decipher Boris thoughts so he just shaked his head and walked away from him.
......
Hailey wanted to go complain to her mother but she halted when she thought about her mother who has been won over by Mike's sweet talk.
She knew that her mom won't do anything so she went to her father who was cooking in the kitchen.
"Dad....." Hailey called.
Kent turned back to see Hailey frowning. He stopped what he was doing and faced her.
"Is there something wrong Hailey? Why are you in such a bad mood?" Kent asked. He really didn't think that what happened in the living room is a big deal.
" Wrong? Of course something is wrong! Everything is wrong! Why did you ask those people to come stay at our house?! Insomnia want them to be here. I don't care dad! As soon as they have lunch, tell them to get out of this place!" Hailey immediately demanded from her father.
Even though Hailey had earned the nickname of "Iron Lady" in her work place, she was still like a little girl who threw tantrums in front of her parents.
"But they are your high school friends. Why do you want them to leave?" Kent asked.
Hailey narrowed her eyes as she remembered what her days of high school with a classmate like Boris Stern was like.
Boris Stern did everything and anything that he could to annoy and agitate her. As long as it was enough to disgust her, he was ready to do it.
There was one time when they went on a school trip together. He actually made the whole class leave her alone when they left the next morning. She had no idea where she was and her phone battery already died.
Hailey will never forget the experience. She will never forget how she caught a cold when she got back. And she will never forget how Boris was gloating about the predicament that he caused.
She has never been friends with Boris and she will never be friends with Boris. She will never ever get along with him in this life!
"Dad, there's no way that Boris and I can be friends!! I'll never forget the things that he did to me! You don't know how much he bullied me in high school!" Hailey declared.
Kent did not take Hailey seriously. He knew that Boris and Hailey had argued a lot before but he thought that it was because they were young
kent thought that since they had already grown up and entered society, they should not hold on to what happened in the past
"Hailey, it's been seven years since you'll left High school. I know that the both of you used to fight a lot when you were in high school but it's already been a few years. You seriously aren't going to keep up with this right? You really need to grow up!"
