When Odessa, a new character in the book, finds out that her manager/boyfriend is cheating on her with her best friend, she wants nothing to do with the both of them. 
She ruthlessly kicks the scumbags out of her life. But then she is left without a manager. 
Left with no other choice, her company assigns her to top manager Mike because the actor he's managing recently got married. 
Odessa is excited to be working with Mike. But she soon finds out that there's nothing fun about working with a sadist...
Chapter One
You're Fired!
Odessa left the awards ceremony with a smile on her face. She had finally won the best actress award that she wanted so much. However, the most important person to her, the person whom she wanted to see her success with the most, wasn't there with her. 
Her manager and boyfriend, Vincent, Odessa had met Vincent as a manager when she entered the entertainment industry as a newbie actress. Together, the two of them had gone from newbies to top actresses and top managers. 
Along the way, the two of them developed feelings for each other and started dating. 
Vincent was unable to come for the awards ceremony because he was sick. 
Since she had won, Odessa decided to pay him a visit so she could take care of him.

Odessa walks into the house quietly because she wants to give her boyfriend, who is also her manager, a surprise. However, she meets a surprise instead. 
Odessa had met her manager when she first debuted, and their relationship had always been strong. So she never expected the rude shock that she got.
Odessa tiptoed towards the room, but she heard the familiar voices of a man and a woman as soon as she came close. 
"Stop it, Vincent! What if Hailey gets back? You said that she's going to come back soon! "What if she catches both of us?" A woman asked. Odessa knew that voice very well. It was her half-sister. Eva. 
"Who cares about Odessa?" She's always pretending to be pure. Who knows how many men she is close with in private?! Weren't you the one who told me that the directors in the drama that you are in quite like her?" Vincent asked in a disgusted voice. 
"I just told you that they like her. I didn't say that they have anything to do with each other! Odessa is my sister! You must not let her know these things! I don't want her to think that the both of us betrayed her! Eva said. Although she said this, she was filled with glee. She was happy that she stole Odessa's boyfriend. 
"Heh! We have already betrayed her a long time ago, and yet she is the only one who doesn't know about it! "How stupid can she be?" Vincent said. If it weren't for Odessa's status in the entertainment industry, he definitely would not want her!
Odessa stood outside as she listened to the words that her sister and fiance said. 
Odessa didn't feel sad. She just felt empty... Odessa is a popular actress, and Eva was always trying to catch up with her. 
Odessa never thought that Eva and Vincent would get together behind her back. 
The only thing that Odessa felt when she saw these two people talking was disgust. She didn't feel any of the pain that would come with a cheating fiance. 
She already knew that her relationship with Vincent was deteriorating. She wanted to try and fix it because they've been together for so long, and it looks like it was totally uncalled for. 
Odessa suddenly had a wicked idea. She brought out her phone and started to take a video.
"Are you still going to get married to her soon?" You know that I don't want you to get married, right? "I really do love you," Eva said. She could not care less if the two of them got married. She just didn't want to lose a friend, and that friend is Vincent. 
"You know that I don't have a choice!" I have to get married to her, or else my grandfather is going to come for me! My uncle, Mike—he's the one in charge of the company now. "I can't do anything that will make them angry with me!" Vincent said. He had been kicked out of his family some time ago; it was only when he got together with Odessa and had some success in his career that his grandfather called him back. He knew that he could not lose Odessa or else he would lose his grandfather's trust. 
Inside the room, Eva snorted with her heart. She knows that Vincent doesn't love her and that he just wants to sleep with her. 
He never thought of having anything serious with her, but Eva didn't care. As long as she can disgust Odessa, then she is satisfied.
Eva ran her perfectly manicured nails down Jonas' chest. She kept looking toward the door like she was showing off to someone. 
"So you are saying that you are going to sacrifice me again?" I'm the person who loves you and the only person who treats you well. Are you going to give me up because of Hailey again? You know that I'm tired of hiding like this, right?" Eva asked with a pout. 
"I know. And you are the person that I really love! But don't worry. I already have a plan. I'll get married to Hailey tomorrow. As soon as I am in charge of the company, I will kick Hailey out, and then the two of us will get married! You said that you love me, so you'll be able to do this much for me, right? Just wait for me to get the company! I'll make you my official wife then!" Vincent said. All of these were just empty promises that he had no intention of fulfilling. 
Eva smiled smugly when she heard this. She never thought of marriage when she got together with Vincent.
She just wanted to make Odessa mad with anger and jealousy. But if she can get married to Vincent, then she will take advantage! 
Eva sincerely felt that a person like Odessa didn't deserve anything good to happen to her! 
When Odessa felt like she had gotten enough evidence to ruin both Vincent and Eva, she pushed the door of the room open and walked in arrogantly. 
Odessa had always been arrogant. Her pride was deep down in her bones. She will never let anyone look down on her.
