That was a longer trip than I had expected. I stayed longer at the whorehouse longer than the last time. Fiona, my favorite had walked away with a heavy purse this time. She has instructions to make sure she was ready and available for their next time I was in town.

Everything is unloaded from the wagon and I should check on the dragon shifter b***h I should just put her out of my misery and live my own life away from this hellhole. I would never have accepted this charge if I knew what it would mean for my life. I was new to my role in the city guard. Maybe that's why I was chosen for this appalling task. I hated everything about this place.

When I come around the corner, I can see the door to the cage room is open. Panic runs through me; I know I made sure it was locked before I left. This was impossible. The door is open enough to peak my head around the corner and see that the cage is open and empty.

What the f**k, where did she go!"

There was no sign of her in the waterfall room when I came in. After checking that the rest of the rooms were clear. I know she's not here. How could this have happened? The Queen is going to kill me! I have to get out of here! The queen has been paying me well for my isolation with the princess, there's enough gold to take me out of this Kingdom.

There was only one place left for me to go. It had to be the warlock kingdom. Maybe I would be able to sell the information I had to the king. That way I could live the rest of my life in riches and whores. It’s the only way now.

It takes me the rest of the night to reload the wagon with all my supplies. This greatly pissed me off as I just unloaded it all. By the time it's loaded and the caves are empty. I left behind all the information that I had collected over the years. They would be safer here. I start off on my next journey. Finally, I'm free to live my life on my terms.

Maybe I'll stop in town and take Fiona with me. I will need the company on my long journey and she will be easy enough to get rid of when I reach safety. There will always be more women to fill my bed in any town. The ride down the trail goes by quickly as I spend my time imaging all the women I might have.

The sun has risen and my plan is solid. I should have done this years ago. It's been three years since anyone has come to ask about the princess's condition and I'm sure no one will come again soon. I'll have enough time to get away before anyone knows what's happened. As I get closer to the town, there's a loud roar in the distance. I know what that sound is but it makes no sense to me at first.

"How is this possible?" I say allowed to no one.

I can see the princess and her Dragon form flying around the town. Her red and black scales radiate in the morning light. I can't believe she's in the town I just left. What are the chances? She's getting closer, I think she knows where I am.

I jump off the wagon hoping I can hide in the forest and get away. She's right above me circling, another loud roar and a Blast of dragon fire burns my path ahead. I'm going to be killed by this b***h. Another blast of fire rains down towards me. There's nowhere to go. My last words to the world are

"f*****g dragons."





Kairios

Watching Aurelia run up the street with such an incredible speed had me frozen in place for a moment, I know I have to catch her. Blackfire will be fast enough. I take off through my door into the hall and down the stairs. I fly around the corner and make for the back door; my mother is yelling after me

"What is happening?"

I don't have time to stop and explain to her though. With Aurelia getting further away I push myself harder. When I reach the stable, I can hear blackfire's hoofs smashing at the gate, knowing that I needed him. I unlatch the gate jump on his back, not bothering with our riding gear.

"She was headed towards the outskirts of the town; can you follow her scent?"

Blackfire was swift through the streets as he followed her scent. Soon we didn't need to follow by scent, she was flying above the town towards the forest. She’s not able to control her flying, she was all over the place. Could this be her first time flying?

I follow her as best as I can while staying on the road. As her movements get better and her confidence grows, she moves close to me and we are racing through the forest. She lets out a roar, she seems happy flying. Running through the morning light with Blackfire chasing down my love, had the biggest smile spread across my face.

Then her body language changes and she roars again. Something has caught her attention in the distance. She turns in the direction towards the mountain trail and flies straight towards a horse-drawn carriage.

A hot blast of fire rains down. While she's circling the trees another blast of fire flows before she lands. The ground and trees burn from her flame. As I come closer to the scene, I see that she had killed someone. The remains of the body are burning with a stink I never want to smell again.

Aurelia had changed back to her human form and walked up to me. She was radiant, the smile on her face confused me because she also had tears streaming down her pink cheeks. To shocked to say anything yet, I just stare at her.
