Chapter 31
When they arrived at the manor, Lumae was clearly back in her needy state. Dominic practically had to carry her in, with her face faced forward, and her arms caught up in his grasp, as if he was hugging-carrying a vicious, endangered animal. It was quite a difficult task, since Lumae kept squirming and struggling and grinding against Dominic's lower front, but he kept his composure and carried her up the stairs and into the bathroom.
When he placed her down she immediately turned around and almost managed to catch Dominic's lips again, but he kept dodging her every try as he reversed and eventually succeeded in closing and locking the bathroom door. As soon as he was certain that she could not escape, he gave out a sigh of relief and sloped down to the ground leaning against the bathroom door. He then had a certain active friend, poking out underneath his pants and he didn't know how he was going to get rid of it if he had to keep watch over Lumae.
Just then, a loud BANG was heard on the door and the entire door rattled. Dominic jumped up from shock, "Holly, goddess of the moon and sky!"
He walked closer to the door, which now had a large crack in it, removed the key from the keyhole and peeked through it. Lumae was just lying on the ground unconsciously. It seemed that she charged at the door head first in order to get to Dominic. He then quickly sprung into action, rushing towards the bed and pushing it against the door. Then he sat on the other side with his back turned to the door, making sure she couldn't escape.
Only a few more hours. He only had to do this for a few more hours. It was starting to get quite late though, and he had to make Lumae some lunch, but he didn't know how to get it to her. He decided to leave that scenario till after he made the food.
He prepared something, light and easy to carry, then headed outside to a huge tree next to his manor. He placed the bag of food in his mouth and started climbing to the window of the bathroom. There he saw Lumae, now awake and staring at the door like an abandoned puppy.
He then carefully slid open the window without attracting any attention to himself, placed the food down on the windowsill and closed it. When he closed it though, a gush of wind from the window closing blew his scent towards Lumae, and she immediately reacted. She turned her head quickly, but Dominic managed to duck just in time, escaping her sight. He then slowly climbed back down the tree and tried not to be spotted.
Dominic then went back inside and sat back down in front of the bed with his lunch. After he ate, he climbed onto the bed and moved towards the door. "Lumae, are you done eating?" There was no response, he heard no movement. It was quiet. Too quiet.
He then felt something starting to creep up on him from the stairs and turned around, only to find Lumae with leaves and twigs stuck in her hair. She then pounced on him, and he tried to hold her off, but nothing worked. She was like a lust-filled zombie that couldn't think straight.
Luckily, lady Francesca, a gorgeous woman in her late forties with dark brown hair, had just arrived at the manor. When she came up the stairs, she saw how Lumae pinned Dominic down and was about to hook his lips. The lady quickly sprung into action, reached for her bag and pulled out a glowing blue potion. She rushed towards the couple and jabbed the potion into Lumae's neck, making Lumae finally come back to her senses.
Everything went a bit too fast for Lumae, and she passed out from all the exhaustion. Lady Francesca then helped Dominic to carefully lay Lumae on the bed, "She's used a lot of energy and power. She'll be fine, but I can't say the same about you if she forgets to take one of these." She pulled out a vile of pills in the same colour as the potion as well as two of that same potion.
"She must take these pills every day for the next week. If she doesn't, you must keep these potions on hand. She'll be seeking you as soon as her instincts kick in, so no matter where you are, always carry it with you. You'll need it if she forgets to take the pill. Other than that, just be careful, you're also due soon." She took out a vile of red pills and tossed them to Dominic.
"Why is hers another colour?"
Lady Francesca smiled, "She's a White Moon, they are ine of the toughest there is when it comes to heat. I haven't made those pills in twenty-two years, but I'm glad I now have a reason to jump back into them."
"Wait, you made heat repellents for the White Moon pack?"
Lady Francesca smiled, "That's a story for another time, boy. Anywhoos, I'm off now." She turned around and left almost as quickly as she arrived without letting Dominic even say a proper goodbye.
After lady Francesca was gone, Dominic started to wonder how Lumae even escaped in the first place and headed outside towards the tree. When he looked up, he saw that the bathroom window was open and a trail of broken branches created a path straight to the ground from the window. He now realised that he was stupid, letting her know where her escape route was.
He then went back to Lumae and sat down beside her on the bed. "Well, what am I supposed to do with you, huh? Dang, you're even stronger when you're in heat, it kind of makes me scared of you, eheh."
He stroked her cheek with his hand. "Remind me to never make you angry in the future. I don't think I'll make it out of that fight alive." He then lay his head down on the pillow next to Lumae and, without noticing, fell asleep.
