Chapter 36 Jason and Amber's Plot

Two hours later, Amber left Jason's mansion and went back to her room, where William had not yet returned. Shortly after, Jason received William's orders.
"Jason, you go to the Golden Hall, there's something there that you need to fix." Jason already knew all of Amber's plans, he knew that Shirley had died in the Golden Hall and that his show was next.
"Yes, King, I'll be right there."
"I have informed Albert that he will assist you, I hope you will work well together, he is a very attentive person and I think it will be helpful to you."
"Yes, King."
Hanging up the phone, Jason immediately set off, turning into a wolf and running as fast as he could as he had to get to the scene early to help Amber with any evidence that might have been left at the scene.
Amber told Jason all about her fight with Shirley. Jason arrived and eliminated all traces left by Amber at the scene, leaving only the marks of Shirley and Gina, and he has decided to blame Gina for the whole thing.
When he had finished everything, he heard Albert's voice at the door. Albert was as cheerful as ever, and he didn't know what he needed to fix to come here.
"Oh! Dear Lord Jason, how are you doing?" Albert tilted his head to look at Jason standing on the second floor and greeted him very warmly.
"I'm afraid that's not very good, Mr. Albert, so please come up here, we may need to settle a very serious matter."
"Oh! God, it seems the great Alpha Lord William didn't want to give me any surprises, but a difficult task!" Albert said as he went upstairs.
Jason didn't like Albert's character, but he was so good at hiding his emotions that no one could know how much he hated Albert's exaggerated words and actions.
Jason led Albert into the room, and the pungent smell of blood made Albert frown.
"Mr. Albert, the person lying there you should know, she is Lord Luna's sister, Miss Shirley."
Albert was surprised, he speeded up and approached Shirley to see her face clearly and was very sad, "Beautiful Miss Shirley, why did it turn out like this? Did someone kill Miss Shirley?" Albert turned around and asked Jason.
Jason showed a very sad expression, held Albert's shoulder, and said, "I think so because the king asked us to investigate this very thing."
Albert slowly stood up and looked around, "I've worked with Miss Shirley many times, I will avenge her, find the murderer and punish him severely!"
"Lord Jason, let's start looking for evidence now! I'll go to the left, you go to the right."
"No, Mr. Albert, I think it's better if we look together because two people together will look more closely."
"I think it's the same reason we each look at a place both ways." Albert insists on his point of view.
"Mr. Albert!" Jason snapped a little, "I think I would have more experience in investigating homicides than you do, so please make sure you are consistent with my advice."
Albert was surprised by Jason's attitude. He had worked with Jason before but had always thought of him as a steady, humble elder who had assisted two Alphas and would never get angry at any time, or make others do such things as having to agree with his views.
But Albert knew that things were not as simple as he thought they would be now, he was not as high up as Jason, and all he had to do was listen.
Later, William arrives and Forsford violently beats Jason, and William invites Albert to his mansion.
Jason has seen that William has some resentment towards himself, and when William and Albert leave, Jason calls Amber.
"William is already suspicious of me, he left with Albert just now, I think they will talk about something, smart Miss Amber, your performance is needed next."
"Yes, Lord Jason, we don't need to be so polite to each other, at least when it's just the two of us talking." Amber's voice was gentle, causing the blood to flush throughout Jason's body.
"Dear Amber, you are such a seductive woman, when can I see you again?"
"Lord Jason, please don't be anxious, when I become Luna, we will have many opportunities to meet! But before that, we still have a small obstacle to solve, I think you should understand what I mean, right?"
"Of course, my stupid niece I will help you out, but I just want to see you as soon as possible now, my heart is already burning like a fire."
"Okay, honey, after eliminating William's suspicion, I will come to see you, please bear with me a little longer!"
Amber hung up the phone and cursed softly into the phone, her heart was very disgusted with Jason, but if she wanted to achieve her goal successfully, Jason was the man she had to take down, and this matter was very simple for her to do.
Not long after, the door of the mansion opened, Amber did not turn on the light of his room, but hid behind the door of the room, through the doorway to see the situation outside.
When William and Albert entered the room, Amber quietly went out and stood in front of the door of William's room, listening very attentively to their conversation.
Albert's keen observation analyzed all the actions Jason did very well. Amber's clenched palms broke out in a lot of sweat, but she also felt very happy because an idea appeared in her brain.
The voices inside suddenly stop and Amber senses that something is wrong, she quickly turns into a wolf to escape and goes straight into the kitchen, where she decides to make some dinner for William to cover herself up.
"Dear William, dinner is ready, where would you like to eat?" Amber said very gently to William.
William told Amber that there were guests in, and Amber curtsied to Albert and said very gently, "Lord Albert, I didn't know you were here, too, and I'll prepare dinner for you right away."
Albert seemed a little puzzled, but immediately understood, and then said to William, "King, I'd better go home first! Please think carefully about what happened today, King, and keep it in your mind, I think this matter should be related to Lord Luna's death."
Suddenly, Amber exclaimed, "Oh! God!" Amber sat down on the floor with tears in her eyes and said very sadly, "Is this thing true? Lord Albert? Our dearest Lord Luna is dead? Oh! Please tell me that this thing is not true!"
Amber inwardly felt great admiration for her acting skills, and her ability to play on the spot seemed to have improved a lot.
Albert looked at Amber and replied with great certainty, "Yes, Miss Amber."
After Albert left, Amber remained sitting on the floor, she acted sad until William came over to pick her up, she looked at William with tears in her eyes and said, "Oh! Oh my! Did not dear Lord Luna die from an accident?"
Amber saw William's surprised expression and knew that her performance had achieved a good result this time.
"Amber, don't you hate Gina? She was before ......"
"Dear, please don't say that, Luna must have treated me that way because of my reasons, I will review my own mistakes very carefully every time, and certainly won't put hate in my heart because of Luna-Osama's reproach!"
William helped Amber into his room, and the maid put the meal down and left while they ate together.
Amber is very close to William and picks up the bread, lettuce, and ketchup herself to make a sandwich for William, but William is not behaving as usual. Amber knows that Gina's disappearance has had a big impact on William and she must do something immediately to make William the way he was before.
William suddenly said, "Amber, I think there must be a reason for Gina's death, and I want to wait until we find out the reason before appointing you as Luna, do you think such a decision is okay?"
Although Amber's heart did not want to agree to this proposal at all, she had to act very satisfied, and then she said very firmly: "Dear, I have no opinion on this matter if Luna was framed and died, even if you do not go to investigate, I will go myself!"
William gave her a very warm hug, and it was clear that Amber's performance made him happy.
The next day, news of Albert's death arrives and seeing William's shocked expression, Amber is satisfied with Jason's efficiency.
Gina's POV
The men returned and Mrs. Josie prepared warm coffee and bread for them.
Hunter was eating and sharing their adventures with us today.
"Miss Evelynn, we met a strange old man on the street today who was selling us something of his own, for goodness sake! You must not imagine what kind of thing that was! I was shocked out of my eyeballs!"
"Hey Hunter, you're exaggerating a bit, that'll keep anyone guessing." Mr. Charlton said to Hunter with a smile.
"Charlton, please don't doubt my words, I bet no one would have thought what that old man was selling, you just didn't feel any stranger because you saw it with your own eyes, and I bet you were so surprised that your mouth grew!" Hunter likes to wave his arms when he talks, especially when he gets to the delightful part.
"Hunter, you're right, I do feel that what the old man is selling is a bit uncommon, but it's not as exaggerated as you make it out to be! I'm with Charlton on this one!" said Adras, who doesn't speak often.
"Hey Adras, you weren't there, you're in no position to question my words! Damn it, Jamil! Mckinley! I thought you guys were supposed to be with me!"
"Oh! Dear Mr. Hunter, as you said, we were not present at the time, so of course, we have no right to speak our mind, I remain neutral." Mckinley finished looking at Jamil, "And you, Jamil."
Hunter looked at Jamil with very eager eyes, because after getting Jamil's support, his votes would be equal to Charlton's, and he cared a lot about that.
Jamil looked at Hunter and expressed regret, "Mr. Hunter, I remain neutral as well."
Hunter was frustrated and we laughed out loud at the same time.
"They always love these competitions where the number of votes means whether they win or not, and it seems lovely to be so competitive, doesn't it?" Mrs. Josie said to me.
I nodded my head, indeed infected by these men who were like children and in a very pleasant mood.
"Oh! Hunter, please don't be sad, Miss Evelynn is still waiting for your answer!" Charlton carefully reminded Hunter, who was lying on the table, and very disappointed.
