Chapter 42 The Mysterious Evelynn

Willian's POV
The news that we were the first stop on the king's tour made me feel uneasy because this had never happened before. There must be some reason for the anomaly. I got up early and called the ministers for a short meeting on the matter, mainly to talk about what might happen next and what to do about it.
Jason told me that there was nothing wrong with the way everyone behaved when the king's emissaries arrived here before, and even though some people would complain about some issues, the king would not take measures because of some people's minor problems, so there was no need to worry about the change in the king's schedule, and it might just be that the king suddenly thought it would be more interesting to get to the Red Night Clan first.
But I was extremely uneasy inside and always felt that something was about to happen.
Soon Ambow called to tell me that she had everything ready, that the king would be staying here the night of his tour, and that, of course, a ball would need to be held for them, a ball that would require fine food, increased patrols by soldiers, and a warm reception from us.
I left it all to Ambow and she didn't let me down, everything was so well organized, I thought of Gina, if she was handling this now, she would have done a good job too!
I'm trying to get my mind off Gina these days, and the first few days had some effect, but these days Gina's figure keeps popping up in my brain and even in my dreams too.
I left the barracks and went to the Golden Hall where we would be receiving the King's army. I arrived at nine o'clock and got a message from Jason. He said he had seen the king's army at the docks.
Amber and I waited in the golden hall with some anxiety, my palms were sweating a lot, my intuition told me that this tour was not so simple. But my surface did not show any uneasiness, I still have to support as an Alpha should maintain the state.
I saluted the king and queen when the king's army arrived outside the Golden Hall.
"Venerable King, Venerable Queen, welcome to the Red Night Clan, where we sincerely await your arrival."
"Willian, you're still as handsome as ever! Get up now!"
The king's tone was relaxed, which made me feel relieved that my instincts seemed to have gone a little wrong this time.
I looked up, but immediately felt cold all over, my eyes were drawn to a woman, my whole body trembled and stiffened to the point where I couldn't get up.
What a resemblance! Even though she was veiled, I could still see her face clearly, it was so similar! Is it Gina? Is it Gina who has returned!
"Willian? What happened to you?" Amber reminded me at my side, and I realized I had been standing there for a long time, and I turned to invite the king into the golden hall.
The king was in front, the queen and her maids followed, and the woman who caught my eye was close by the queen's side, wearing a gorgeous dress and behaving so elegantly that despite her appearance, all else but her appearance was not Gina, including the fact that she could turn into a wolf.
I followed the queen, my eyes kept looking at the woman, all the previous uneasiness turned into concern for this woman, I knew why my intuition confused me, the reason was this woman.
We walked into the hall and invited the king and queen to sit in the seats that had been placed directly above them long ago. The woman sat opposite the queen, and the fact that she could enter with the king's permission meant that she was no ordinary noble.
I sat beside that one, and the king said to me, "Willian, you may not know, this is the queen's sister, she studied abroad before, so you have never known, this time she came back, the queen wants to bring her to meet you, if you don't mind, let her sit beside you!"
"Of course, Your Majesty, I wonder what to call her?"
"My name is Evelynn, and Lord Willian can call me Miss Evelynn."
Her voice was gentle and affectionate, completely different from Gina's, and I couldn't find any information about Gina in her body.
"Yes, Miss Evelynn, it would be my pleasure to have dinner with you."
"Willian, I heard my sister say that Willian is handsome and wanted me to meet with you, but when I saw you today, it was unforgettable!"
I didn't know how to respond when she said such words with Gina's looks!
Amber led the maid to serve us and I saw her body tremble as she stood next to Evelynn, I know she must have been surprised by Evelynn's looks too!
Amber sat across from me, and the rest of the seats were for other ministers. Horsford had been released from prison, but he did not attend the party because he did not want to see Jason.
The banquet started with a symphony and I toasted the King and Queen as well as Miss Evelynn.
"Willian, you communicate more with Evelynn, I heard that your Luna died, it would be great if you could fall in love with Evelynn!" The queen was very concerned about Evelynn and introduced Evelynn to me with great enthusiasm.
"Your honorable queen, please don't joke, I was sad when my previous Luna died unexpectedly, but now my new Luna is Miss Ambow next to you, so I do have Luna now."
The queen glanced at Ambow, who, with a smile, bowed to her, but the queen did not indicate anything and said directly to Evelynn: "My dear, there is no way, you are late, but of course, if you want to stay here for the tour, I have no reason to stop you."
"Oh! Really? Dear, sister! That's great!" Evelynn was so happy, her smile was very beautiful and she turned to look at me and said, "Brother Willian, can I play here with you for a while? I like the environment here, can you take me on a tour in your free time?"
I saw Ambow's face that became dejected and saw the eyes of the king and queen again. I couldn't refuse Evelynn's request and said with a smile, "Of course, I must make Miss Evelynn happy. If you want, I can be your guide in the future."
"Thank you so much! God will bless you, Brother Willian!" Evelynn hugged me excitedly and left a kiss on my cheek.
She was so lively, innocent, and sweet! My heart wavered for a moment.
After the banquet, the ball began.
Evelynn was very lively, and I confess I kept my eyes on her throughout the banquet. She sometimes followed the queen in toasting the ministers, and sometimes walked back and forth around the dessert table; she seemed to enjoy dessert, a habit that Gina had not had.
She was good at dancing, and I remembered the terrible dance Gina did with me at Luna's appointment, and I confirmed in my mind once again that she was not Gina.
I sat in my seat and kept my eyes moving with her. Soon I saw her walking towards me with a glass of wine, her tight-fitting bright red gown outlined her perfect figure, her gait was unhurried and so enchanting.
Her makeup is delicate and not vulgar, her eyebrows are slender and elegant, her lips are bright and glossy, her cheeks are rosy, and the wine in her hand is reflected as if it were a world-famous painting slowly unfolding in front of my eyes.
"Brother Willian, can you dance with me?" She said as she leaned over and pressed her ear against mine.
My heart wavered for a moment, but I looked to Ambow next to me, and instead of saying anything, she simply stood up and said to Evelynn: "Dear Miss Evelynn, I think it is somewhat inappropriate for you to invite Willian to dance, at such a grand ball with many other young and handsome men who are waiting to dance with you. Willian is the man who owns Luna, and as the king who loves his lady very much, he must feel unhappy if he sees you dancing with Willian!"
Evelynn puckered up her mouth with a somewhat aggrieved expression, and she looked at me with tears in her eyes, trying to seek my help. I think Ambow has a point, but Evelynn is the queen's sister, and there shouldn't be any problem if the queen allows it.
"Brother Willian, even if there are many men who want to dance with me, but my heart is only for you! With such passion, can you refuse me?" Evelynn took my hand and I looked into her eyes, she was too beautiful! She looked like Gina, but I kept telling myself in my mind that she was Evelynn, not Gina!
I stood up, took Evelynn's hand, and said to Ambow, "It doesn't matter, my dear, Miss Evelynn is the Queen's sister, her request is equivalent to the Queen's order, we can't refuse, but you have to believe that you are my Luna."
I pulled Evelynn onto the dance floor, where the people dancing made a place for us. The music, as if it had been discussed before, turned into a beautiful love song, and its tune was like the music on Luna's appointment. In a moment when my consciousness was a little blurred, I seemed to be back with Gina, holding her hand and dancing under the people's gaze.
Evelynn's dance is perfect, she can make very beautiful movements in any situation, she is the right height, her head can just reach my chest, she likes to lean on me to dance, will inadvertently touch me. I looked into her eyes and at that moment our pace was still bouncing to the music, but I felt as if time had stopped at this moment and the world was left with just me and Evelynn, no! It was Gina!
