Chapter 61: The Tangled William

When I got up early the next morning, Hunter and Charlton were sitting in the hall drinking coffee and talking.
"Hey, Charlton! This is so disappointing! I'm your good buddy! Why are you treating me like this?" You could tell Hunter was very angry, and his hand was shaking as he held the coffee.
"I can't help it, you drank too much, you're drunk and disobedient, I know to use some tactics, so that you can obey!" Charlton said while reading the newspaper, without the slightest feeling of nervousness.
Hunter placed the cup heavily on the table and was going to stand up immediately, but the pain made him stop himself and sit down on the stool again.

William's morning meeting with the ministers had just ended, and he was sitting alone in his tent, and when I walked in, he was not as happy as I thought he would be.

I stood up and said to him, "Today may be a more treacherous day, but I am fully prepared, and Lord Alpha needs to cooperate with me."
"Of course! I'm always available."
I walked out of the tent, my shaken heart unable to calm down for a long time.
William's POV
Evelynn's appearance made the whole meeting energetic, I watched her talk freely about her insights, it was like seeing the military expert who used to exchange messages with me, but that military expert seemed to be in a bad state today, I looked at Ambow and felt worried in my heart, but this matter needed to wait until the war's problems were solved.
When only the two of us were left in the room, I looked at Evelynn sitting next to me, she looked so beautiful in the not so bright light, I thought of the first time I met Gina, I tried to find something to talk about, but for a moment I didn't know what to say.
"Evelynn-sama, your military prowess really amazes me."
