Chapter 40 True Identity

Gina's POV
After finishing our notes at the Blue Moon Clan's hotel, we left in a hurry to go to the Red Moon Clan, and to our surprise, the Red Moon Clan was completely different from the Blue Moon Clan!
We arrived at the docks of the Red Moon five days before the king's tour, but there was no chaos as we thought, everything was very orderly, not at all like the country was at war, the docks were prosperous, the market was bustling, people's faces were smiling, there were no beggars in the streets, there were no troops on tour looking for the king's emissaries from house to house.
It all makes us happy.
We found a random hotel to stay in, and everyone felt like they were back in their hometown, so free and happy!
We blend into the lives of the locals and feel no resentment in their words, either to the Alpha or to the King's rounds, they will say their business very easily and are not worried about the King's rounds.
We found after two days of investigation that people here respect their Luna so much that they praise her as the greatest Luna in the world!
We stayed here for two days because Mrs. Josie and the men loved the atmosphere. What touched me the most was that Mrs. Josie told me that it was like a city run by a king and that I would experience a happier life if I went to the king's city with them in the future.
I began to look forward to that day very much.
As we set out on the third day to return to the city governed by the king, we saw at the dock the third group of messengers like us who had come to the Red Moon tribe.
Mrs. Josie said that to be fair, the king would send three groups of emissaries to each clan at different times to investigate, and we left with only two days before the king's tour.
"Madam, will the king have departed for the various communities by the time they return?"
"It won't be, because we're going back quickly, up the Chavele River in a powerboat, and we'll be able to reach Trusbo, the city run by King Adolf, in less than a day."
I felt both new and surprised by this, and I wanted to experience such an amazing boat as soon as possible.
We rode in the powerboat, all the way up, on the way Jamil made delicious meals for us, Atlas took out the organ, which had not been played for a long time, and played beautiful music, Hunter danced to the music, Charlton stood aside to spit Hunter's dance, McKinley sat very seriously on the deck to polish his sword, Mrs. Josie was in the room to pack her things.
I sat on the deck listening to the music, smelling the tantalizing scent, watching the sun keep moving, calm and beautiful inside.
The boat passed through the territory of the Red Night Clan, and as I looked at the place that was both familiar and unfamiliar, both nostalgic and hated, I realized that I didn't seem to be in as much pain as I was before. After these few days of living in three communities, I felt I had gained a lot, even though it was only a few days, but enough to change my life.
I joined the men in their enjoyable activities, singing, dancing, and laughing together.
"Come and have dinner!"
Jamil set up the table on the deck and slowed the boat down as we sat around the table savoring the food and enjoying the sunset.
The afterglow of the sunset shining on the deck, the orange-red light enveloping the earth, all around looked so cozy, everyone was smiling, it was the best time I had.
After dinner and as night fell, we picked up speed and, according to Mrs. Josie's plan, reached the palace gates in the early hours of the next morning.
I was lying on the bed in my room while Mrs. Josie was organizing her notes from the past few days.
"Miss Evelynn, I still don't know what ethnic group you're from!"
"The Red Nights, ma'am." I looked at Lady Josie and whispered.
"I heard that the Alpha of the Red Night Clan is very young, and the previous Luna died unexpectedly and a new Luna was appointed and removed a few days ago." Mrs. Josie said as she wrote notes.
I was a little surprised, but on second thought, it was as it should be, I was indeed dead, to Willian.
I think the new Luna should be Ambow! The murderer who killed my sister!
My fist clenched tightly, my hatred for Ambow is very deep, but I am still the one who can't go back to my hometown and there is no way to avenge my sister!
Mrs. Josie saw that I didn't say anything and continued, "Miss Evelynn, I think you know Luna from before!"
"Yes, I know."
"So, what kind of person is she?"
I was surprised by Mrs. Josie's words and glanced at her, but she was still writing notes very carefully as if she was making small talk and not taking the matter to heart.
I looked at the ceiling and remembered what I used to do.
"She was a cowardly, timid, ugly-looking woman."
Mrs. Josie stopped writing and looked at me, "Honey, don't dismiss anyone, including yourself, so easily."
I instantly sat up from the bed and looked at Mrs. Josie in surprise, "Ma'am, why do you know ......"
Mrs. Josie put down her pen, walked over to me, sat down, and placed her hands tenderly on mine.
"Honey, actually when you woke up, I noticed something very amazing, your body seemed to have changed a lot because of the trauma, a change that I had never seen before."
"Change? What do you mean by that? You told me earlier that I was pregnant for a week and then had a miscarriage, isn't that the change?"
I looked at Mrs. Josie with some confusion. She had an expression of confusion on her face that she had never had before.
"No, my dear, I can check that you have suffered rather serious trauma, as well as a big blow to the mind, and in addition to that, I also found some changes in your body that only occur at a relatively young age. This does make me very suspicious!"
"Younger in age? What does that mean?"
"For example, we werewolves can become wolves at a certain age, and at this time our body will change, our physique will be stronger, and the content of some hormones in our body will also change, and will stabilize according to the gradual growth of age. But your age has long passed that period, but you only have this chance now, I think it is related to your previous physical state."
I felt a little confused, but hearing Mrs. Josie's analysis, I seemed to understand the meaning of what she was going to say.
"Miss Evelynn, what I want to ask is, did you previously possess a physique that was not capable of turning into a wolf?"
"Yes." I didn't hesitate for a moment and said the answer directly.
"In that case, I can identify you and can tell you with a high degree of certainty that your body is moving closer to that of a normal werewolf, that is to say ......"
"That means I can turn into a wolf?" I was so excited that I accidentally interrupted Mrs. Josie, "Sorry, ma'am, I ...... I'm just so excited! You know what? Such news is important to me, even though it came a little late, but for me, such significance is important, really, really important."
Tears spread all over my face, I had cried so much that I couldn't speak properly, and I took Mrs. Josie's hands, trembling, unable to stop at all.
Mrs. Josie gently stroked my head, just like my sister used to comfort the sad me, and that feeling came back to me.
"Miss Evelynn, you were Luna before the Red Nights, weren't you?"
I couldn't speak anymore, I nodded my head vigorously, threw myself into Mrs. Josie's arms, and cried out loud.
I don't know when I started to cry loudly in Willian's residence, I seem to have long forgotten how to use crying to vent my heart's sadness, until the time of my sister's death, but at that time I no longer knew what to do with myself, as if there was no other way but to cry.
I can cry freely here because I know that everything around here will embrace me, not that I have to embrace everything!
"Evelynn, I know that you must have been hurt very badly once, and I know that that hurtful past must have broken your heart, can you tell me your story? I'm sure the great Queen will help you!"
I looked up at Mrs. Josie, she was like the moon goddess, a holy light enveloping me, so warm, especially inside me!
"Dear Mrs. Josie, my name is Gina and I am Luna of the Red Night Clan, oh! No! It's the former Luna, I used to be a werewolf who couldn't turn into a wolf and was raised by my sister ......"
I recounted my life, in its entirety, to Mrs. Josie, and my heartfelt sadness as the memories came flooding back. I recalled my sister's kindness to me, Willian's indifference, disgust, and even scolding, and Ambow's framing me and killing my sister.
Mrs. Josie is a very emotional person, and my story brought her to tears several times as she kept lamenting the tragic first half of my life.
"Oh! God! My poor Gina baby! I'm sure your sister loves you very much!"
"Oh! Dear Gina! Your sister must want you to be happy most of all!"
"Oh my God, Gina, how sad you must be! Watching your dearest sister die in front of you! What a vicious person that is!"
When I finished recounting it, I found that I didn't seem very sad, but Mrs. Josie had cried so much that she couldn't stand up, and I held her up and comforted her, "Ma'am, everything has happened, and I think the future is the most precious time, I think ......"
"Oh! Gina ...... Do you want to take revenge for your sister?" Mrs. Josie covered her chest and was very sad.
"Yes, but I can't accomplish this just by myself, even if I can turn into a wolf, but my body is not strong enough and I am now disqualified from going to the Red Night Clan."
Mrs. Josie gathered herself and said, "No, dear Gina, as I said earlier, the great Queen will certainly help you, just wait for my news! I will apply to the Queen to go with you if you wish!"
I immediately embraced Mrs. Josie, and the gratitude I felt for her could not be expressed in words.
