Chapter 16 Shadows of The Past Part II

The vast world was filled with magical creatures many attended the school but they where not like the other creatures that remind in nature. They chose to be isolated from the rest other beings and so very few have seen of Dragons but they well know across the land as great and powerful beings. Kyle was flying over the world trying to seek out a Dragon, but the creatures where smart and wise, living lives for beyond that of a human but not nearly that of a dragon born. This can make it hard to find one if they choose to be secluded, this only impeded Kyles search, but it was not in vain as he discovered a young Dragon making them self know to the wild life of a woodland. As they let out a fearsome roar, kyle made his decent landing close by his body made the transformation as he touched the ground and took his human form ounce again.
"What are you doing here?" asked the young Dragon.
Kyle looked at him, he had been told of dragons with great patterned scales, a thing of beauty but looking at the dragon all he saw was a small body no bigger then him with a off white colour of the scales.
Kyle knew he could not simply asked for the soul "I ve been sent of quest."
"So have I, in a way." said the Dragon as he sat down and craned his neck to see him.
"What do you mean." Kyle asked unsure of the response.
"Dragons, unlike humans, don t have family lives." he said as he turned away "After we come of age we must show of that we can fly and use powers." he sighed before he carried on "Choose are magic, and move on leaving the nest to make are own way in the world."
Kyle could see he was upset about this and was fairly young.
"Anyway what s your quest?" he asked.
"I ve come to," he paused this was delicate. "I ve been." he stopped again, he could not find the words. Looking in to his deep dark yellow eyes and oval pupil slits he could not hide the truth from his own kind "I need a dragon soul." he said at last.
"Why?"asked the Dragon getting lower to see eye to eye.
"That is my quest."
"Would it hurt?" he asked looking at his chest.
"I can t ask you to do this." Kyle protested.
"Why what does it mean to me?" he asked.
"If I bound your soul to mine, your can t come to harm wile bound to me as we feel the same pain, and the bound has been known to cause friendships." said Kyle.
"I can see no down side to that, I do need all the help I can get." he said looking around at the world he does not know.
Kyle just reached out and his hand stained he pulled it back as a ball of light came from the Dragons chest and flew in to his hand. As he pulled it to his chest the light flew in to his body.
"What s with the light magic?" asked the Dragon.
"It s how I was taught, to use other magic to give the allusion that magic as physical form."
"I was taught the same, I to have mastered light magic." he smiled. "But it is not necessary around other magic users."
He nodded "It was nice to meet you."
"And you." replied the Dragon.
Kyle with his task complete spun around and took off, wile the Dragon made a home for himself in the woodland in the open, until he would choose to move on.
At the guild San-saw was sitting in the class room he was cleaning up after a messy class, wiping down the chalk broad as Kyle came in to see him. He stopped knowing it was one of two people, a single glance gave behind it away, his son had returned with what he asked.
"Have you done it?" he asked turning around to face him.
"Of course." Kyle said as he released the bond and passed it over to his father as proof.
"Good, good." he said as he felt the bond join him.
"Why do you need a dragons soul?" Kyle asked walking towards his father.
"I need a show of power to the other Necromancers, otherwise they might try and over throw me."
"What do you mean?" asked Kyle his anger starting to show.
His father took the steps towards him placing hand on his shoulder "You know what I mean what I said in class about controlling magic."
"Yes, I thought it was joke." he argued as he backed away form his father.
"Join me." he offered "My powers are too weak, but as a dragon born, you ve a greater power then anyone I ve ever seen."
"Why father why are you doing this." he pleaded.
San-saw knew it was time "I knew my power alone was not enough, so I wanted more unable to have them to my self alone I need to control them all." he started "I raised an armies to get my hands on other magic, but all it got me was enemies. So I tricked a women to to loving me suing a bound and gave her a ring to live forever knowing she would take it off and be killed using her death to help fake my own."
Kyle saw his father smile as he told the story as if it was novel.
"After she died I they thought I was to, and so I as able to move freely. After that I met your mother and saw what she was building and it was what I needed."
"The guild, I don t understand."
"I made my way in to the guild and so when all the Necromancers came here I got them to follow me and follow in my footsteps, your just a bonus." he sniggered "Know I after all these years I have an army to take over the world of magic, and there is nothing you can do to stop me."
Kyle raised his hand to reap his father and kill him, but this was the man who raised him, looked after him and cared for him to a degree ,he could not harm him, instead choosing to run, run and find some to help.
Deep in the castle Bella was walking thought it s many halls when her son came running up behind her calling out to her.
"What s the matter?" she asked, her motherly side kicking in as she turned to console him.
"Is father, he s, he s." he spluttered trying to find the words.
"It s okay just tell me." she said.
He swallowed deep, and told her what he had told him, the look her on face as he backed up said it all, the man she had grown to love was using her. But there was no time for to reveal in the pain as a realisation came to life, it felt as if their bond had been severed.
"The Book!" she realised, tacking flight down the halls.
Kyle unsure followed after her.
At the hall way San-saw was walking towards the door when a echo called out to him.
"Wait!"
He knew who it was looking back he saw Bella and Kyle standing behind him she was reaching out to him.
"We will stop you." said Bella.
"Oh really." he sniggered "How, I have an army."
"Your weak." said Kyle stepping forward. "And I m more powerful then anyone in your underworld army."
"There is no way you can win." said Bella.
"I will return for that book." he said as he opened up ground to the under world and jumped in.
The tow raced over but he was gone in to the dark and red mist of the stone coated hole, leaving his family behind for the pursuit of power.
"What know, no one is left to teach the Necromancers." worried Kyle.
"I think he has taken them al with him." said Bella she sank her head.
"What do we do now, one day I will be forced to join him them."
"Lets hope by then he s changed."
"What about the book." Wondered Kyle still unsure.
"It s safe, but the other artefacts need to be moved."
She waved a hand and the wall opened, the two stepped down in to the vault.
"Where are we going to put it all?" asked Kyle looking at small pile that lay before him.
"The one place where they truly safe, the Necromancer class rooms." she said picking up some in her hands "There is a small area behind the broad where a decay has taken it s toll."
He just nodded as he picked up the rest, as they walked out the wall was put back and he enactment was back up as well.
"I gave him a Dragon soul." he confessed. "And there s nothing I can do."
"It won t be any use unless he s down there with him." said Bella.
"I should warn him, he will need to go in to hiding."
"Go but then you must try and have a life to the best of your abilities."
The two walked in silence
When they reached the class room and Bell knocked the broad of at the top right hand corner and it fell to the floor, the area was on show and they both put the trinkets away and put the broad back. When Bella turned around Kyle was already gone, walking out she one day hopped to see the halls return to their former glory.
In the forest the Dragon had changed the landscape to be covered in lush green life and clear streams with a large rock hollowed out to make his den. Kyle saw the change and flew down to see him, as landed by the rock the Dragon was perched atop it seeing his glorious master peace.
Dropping down his human form to speak to him. "I was wrong." warned Kyle.
"What." Panicked the Dragon.
"Your soul is in the hands of evil."
"What can I do?" he asked panic ridden.
"Hide, so that he will never find you." Kyle waned before he took off.
The Dragon was left unsure, the only thing left for him to do was to hide in his den and wait for the bond to be broken.
The Necromancers were gone but their code was still up and wile Bella soldiered on to keep the guild going, their doors open to all she was closed off to all not letting anyone in to her hear t out of fear it would be broken. The Dragon was forced to live alone in sanctum growing wise in his years alone, wile Kyle was forced to face his daemons. After years of using the name of Tomb and the title Necromancer he did all he could to reverse his fathers deed s. After he came of age he was forced to reside in the underworld…
Standing atop the mountain he looked out at the world he travailed at least two times over, his many homes with new owners his many friends dead and berried. He opened up the ground as it fell down to open up the underworld. It s red and black sky bleed out, he stepped in to seal his fate. Looking down he saw the fires of hell as magma and lava spewed up the tall back stone towers. The walkways lead a to city where his kind and their bound souls lived, a life all of their own. Strolling he he soon found his father waiting for him.
"Welcome home son." he smiled as he walked over to greet him.
"I m not your son." he declared tacking step back.
The two paused a gap still between them.
"Is it because I tried to take over all magic?" he asked looking at his now grown up son.
"Yes." he grunted.
"Well then you won t fit in well here." he said "As everyone here is on my side, good luck." he said and left.
Leaving kyle to stand alone ounce more isolated and alone know in the hell scape of the under world.
In the coming years Kyle was forced to live alone in small hut and to isolate form the others, he found himself alone for years stuck in a hell scape he chose to live in. He could have chosen a out to settle down and not use his powers to prolong his life, but after everything he had been though death was not something he would want to face. Living for ever was natural to him, perhaps this his what his father wanted, his mind kept filling with sour thoughts, but he had no out that he could see. His house was a small square no bigger then two meters on the inside, being forced to live in isolated hovel.
As the years dragged by he longed for the comfort other other person, and late one night he was woken by his door slamming open, stood before him was spunky read head dressed out in revealing leather attire. She used her foot to close to the door and as she grew closer to him getting on her hands and knees to crawl over his tired body. Looking in to each others eyes, what started as a kiss turned in to the high adrenaline activity that was sex. As they moved about the room going at it from all angels, one after the other they kept at it, time passed the same in the underworld but with no light cycle there was no day or night to allude to. It might have been hours or even days, but they with their powers they where able to keep going almost like animals.
After hours of passion had passed Kyle was laying passed out from exhaustion as he needed to let his body rest. His guest was laying beside him wide awake naked, ounce she was sure he was asleep she redressed making sure to be quite. As she left closing the door behind her she was met by San-saw, she seemed to shocked by his arrival, but soon become more settled after a few seconds.
"Did it work?"he asked.
"Yes." she replied.
"Then let us wait and see." he said escorting her back.
At the end of the city sat a large castle, forged form the black stone as all things where, inside his throne was elevated high over a court to show his power over the others. Sitting high above San-saw was looking down as the doors where flung open, standing up to see Kyle burst in though the open doorway.
"What have you done!" Kyle shrieked.
"You where not willing to comply with my plans so I made a backup." he said as he looked down at his son. "Come out my dear."
The red head stepped out from behind the door, her belly was sticking out as she was showing.
"That s my son." he argued.
"And my Grandson." he argued back. "My word is law down here, you can have your son, but what are you going to do with him, he s stuck down here with the rest of us."
Kyle s eyes darted around as he tried to figure away out of this, his mind drawing a blank.
"There s no fear in loosing son." said San-saw.
It was at that moment Kyle left in hurry he knew what he had to do, racing out of the castle, he was going to find place to hide away form the world to raise his son. A safe place, he had been all over he would now where to go, but it was not so easy, as time to someone who lives for ever passes more slowly it would be far longer before he did return.
A young boy with red hair sat on the lab as stories where told, the adventures of Necromancers struggle to make peace and learn magic and banishment. Sitting on his grandfathers lap San-saw told his young grandson no older then five, with scruffy read hair and black robe, all about his plan and his role to play.
"That s why I need you to go to the evil Guild and learn as much magic as you can to bring that back to us so as we may pass it on to are kind."
Looking up he was unsure. "How will I get there?" he asked.
"Chris, you ve got a dragon form, they are rare, but you can fly." smiled his grand father putting him down.
"I don t now how." he said looking a his arms.
"Don t worry there is someone who can teach you at the guild, I can send you there through magic."
Chris looked up at his father figure, who had raised him since birth along side his mother, but as he was about to learn that everything was not what it seemed.
As he arrived at the guild he had a short journey form the near by portal that he had used, walking under the five arches he was met by Bella in the court yard.
Keeling down to great the young boy she saw something in him. Who are you?" she asked.
"Chris." he said looking in to her gaze.
She knew him he was her grandson, she saw his father in him as well as his grand father, but there was nothing she could do, but make sure he would settle in like all the rest as it was her duty.
That night in the Necromancy dorm Chris was laying in the dark purple and black room, it s large size held many of the things you would find in bedroom. Scared and alone he sat cowering in a bed, not wanting to upset his grandfather and only longing to go home.
"Are you okay up here?" asked Bella as she entered the room. "I thought you might need some looking after, as your alone and it can be hard when your alone at this age, I should know."
"Company would be nice." he said.
She tucked him and knelt down by the bed and staid with him until he nodded off, for his time at the guild she was by his side to look out and care for him the way only and mother can.
In the underworld San-saw at on his throne he was whittling away the hours of eternity, when his son came bursting in the throne room looking for his son.
"GIVE ME MY CHILD!" he shouted.
"Oh your back, I thought you d be longer." said San-saw.
"Where are they?" he asked.
"I ve sent him on a mission to the guild to learn all the magic there and give it back to me." San-saw smiled.
Turning back he raced out to find his son, he never knew, wile San-saw waited for him to return with the magic he would then take it and gift it to them all.
At the guild Chris was leaving he had grown in his years now thirteen as he marched on form the guild, his cloak had grown with him his hair was longer and as he left he found himself in the shadow of his father looking up he saw the man who left him with his grandfather a crazed power mad overlord. He knew who he was even though they had not met, he knew what his father looked like form his mother disruptions. Before anyone spoke his mind was made up he had no family he was alone.
Bella had caught everything they had said as she came out to wish him good bye, but all she got was hatred when he discovered who she was, upset that they left him to suffer, he took off leaving them behind.
"It s all my fault." said Kyle falling to his knees.
"Don t balm yourself." said Bella as she comforted him.
"I spent so long trying to find somewhere to hide I missed out of being his father."
"I was no better."
"I can t go back not now."
"What can you do."
"Go in to hiding."
The two hugged each other to feel the warmth and love of family, they had neglected, it was all over for them, or so they thought…
