Chapter 21 Divided We Fall Part I

As Lady looked at the dead flower on the floor she grew worried about being able to control her power, her mind flashing thought all the worst possible outcomes. Killing any of her friends was one that kept coming back. She knew she had to find help but she did not want to tell Necro, thinking he may become upset, then more worse thoughts like did she somehow get his power. What ever happened she thought Necro would only become more jaded with out his power, and her know having the same power he had lost.
The only knowledge that came to mind was the book that holds knowledge of all magic, and how it might be able to tell her how to control her new powers. With out rethinking it first she raced out of the room and towards the room where the book was kept.
Elsewhere deep in the castle Bella was teaching a class, she was going over the fundamentals of magic.
"Your need to make sure that your keep your emotions in check as they can often effect your magic early on." she explained.
Necro pocked his head in, the room was similar to the guild but with much more fin line detail in every corner and a stunning arch in replace of a door.
"And ounce your are bale to control your magic you won t have any more problems." she said, spotting Necro. "We ll continue this session tomorrow." she said.
Necro came in as the others left.
"I see, your all ready teaching magic." he said.
"Yes, we ve had a few people come in and it s really picking up." she said.
"Well, I wanted to tell you something." he said as he tried to sum up the courage. "When I saw him he told me that the Necromancy I was taught at the guild was not real Necromancy, but a combination of other magic s added to Necromancy to enhance it."
Bella didn t know what to say, but he was not done yet.
"I knew how the book didn t have that magic in it, so I took the liberty to add it in myself." he said "The book should now have all the different types of magic."
"Necro." she wept.
"I know how much you love him, and I m now tying to undo all that he has done."
Braking down in tear s she hugged her grandson, for giving her he gift to know his soul was pure like her son s. Know she would be bale to preserve all magic for the future generations, to learn and pass on.
"Let me show you." he said as he pulled away tacking her hand to guide her.
Lady was trying to keep her escapade a secret and lucky enough for her as she crept down deep in the castle where very few would tread she arrived at the wooden doors. Opening them to gain access to the book she reached in and grabbed it she felt as if she was being pulled towards it as she touched the book. When she held it before with Necro and Nova she had felt nothing but know as held it she felt it s power but was unable to learn any of the magic as Nova and Necro had done. As she flicked though it s pages she came to the section which Necro had written, expecting to pick it up just by reading it she found that was not the case. She read it understood what the pages said but found she was not bale to do it on command.
"Why won t you work." she fumed.
Then the echo of noise came ever closer, someone was coming, she had no where to hide in the room. It had increased in size, there was no place to hide.
Down the hall Necro and Bella spoke about how the book worked.
"So you have to enchant the page so you can will the magic in an instant." repeated Necro trying to understand it.
"Not exactly, the words them selves have to be touched by magic with a spicule enactment that will grant the power to learn them." she explained.
"Also, can you help me understand what happened with the curse?"
"Oh it only effects you the first time."
"So when I, Nova and Lady held it."
"The first two touches they had and your second touch was enough to over power the curse at bay for Nova to learn the magic."
"That makes sense as I ve also used the book with out seeing the curse a few times now."
"That s how I cursed it."
The two stopped as they arrived just short of the room.
"Why are the doors open?" asked Necro.
The two raced over and stopped, looking in they saw the book was gone, and if they looked more clearly in the room they might have seen Lady who pinned her self up against the wall just an inch away form the door hinge. With a quick glance for the book, they raced out to raise the alarm. Ounce she had heard them flee and was sure it was safe Lady slowly peered around to see they had both gone and with book in hand made her way back to her room.
As she raced back to her room she passed so many people on high alert but her status was enough to get her to her room safely. She burst in concealing the book in her clothes holding it close to her body, racing in closing the door behind her she dropped to her knees. The book fell out on to the floor escaping it s confinement, she reached out to grab it and made her way to her parents old four poster bed, and put her hand on the boarding pulled out a hidden draw. Dropping the book in and closing it up she raced off to meet with the others, she only looked back to make sure it was safely concealed.
The throne room was the one place everyone gathered wile the kingdom was on lock down all the guards made sure no one left. Nova was on her throne with Necro, Bell, Harris and Blair all gathered around. Lady raced in to find the others waiting on her.
"No that the council has convened." said Necro.
"What, I never sighed of on that." argued Harris.
"Calm down." said Blair.
"As if." he snorted.
"Enough." ordered Nova "We are all the highest ranking members of the kingdom, we should be a council."
"Agreed." added in Bella "We are all in charge of area s of the kingdom and as of such we need to talk about this together."
"Okay so what s the matter?" asked Harris "I ve got people who are scared, what could have caused such a commotion?"
"Someone had stolen the book on magic." said Necro.
"Maybe it was Blair." Harris said.
"That s harsh." said Bella.
"She is a witch maybe after she and Necro met the what ever it was she wanted some more magic."
"That s not how the book works!" yelled Blair.
"So you did take it." he argued.
"SILENACE!" Commanded Necro as he took his Dragon form.
Everyone was quite as they looked up at angry man who could kill them in single go, even with out his necromancy.
"We need to find out who has the book and why." said Necro tacking charge.
"What s so spicule about it." grunted Harris.
"That s just like you, when ever it s magic you just shrug it off, because you haven't got any."
Necro shot a lighting bolt at the floor to prove him wrong. With high tensions Lady knew she could resolve it by saying she had the book because of her new powers. But as she tried to pluck up the courage it kept becoming panic and fear, what if they don t believe her what if she s punished. Then came the guilt for all the tension and arguing.
"Can everyone clam down." begged Lady.
But her plea s fell on depth ears.
"Now." Necro said as he came back down to his human form. "It would of have to have be someone who knew of the book and knows of it s power."
"Why do you say that?" asked Nova.
"They could use it, sell it, no one would take it with out knowing it s power."
"Okay then." said Harris getting angry "Was it you?"
"What." replied Necro.
"You tried to get your powers and for what ever reason, Blair won t talk to me about it and you haven t got them back." he accused "So you took the book to get all the other power for your self."
"I found the book missing!" he snapped back.
"I was their someone else had been there before us." added Bella.
"What ever." he said as he turned to leave.
"Where are you going!" shouted Necro.
"I m going to search the city, and have my guards look for your precious book." he hauled.
"I can t do this." sobbed Nova as she broke down in tears.
Necro and Bella raced to her aid trying to help and comfort her, as they tried to clam her down Lady and Blair left.
Lady was ounce again walking the halls she was shaken up and out of shorts as all the harsh accusations where thrown around all because she had taken the book. She stopped and turned in to her room closing the door behind her. Pressing up against it she let out a sigh as she slid to the floor, trying to compose her self. As she took another breath she crawled over to the bed and putt her hand in the boarding pulled out the hidden draw looking down in the space sat the book. Looking at it now she had a blank mind but as she reached in and took it out she wanted to return it so bad and claim she found it or just return it and say she found it back in it s place. But she wanted to learn how to control her power, and to do that she needed the book.
Poring over it s pages she read and re-read the same passage of text that she knew will help her control her powers but it only made her more anxious and tense. There is no way of doing this alone, caving to he fear of hurting her friends she raced in to Necro s room excepting him there for some reason, only to find it empty.
"What have I done." she sobbed as he broke down in the door way crying.
"Whoa what happened here?" wondered Death.
Lady looked up to see him in the mirror. "Why can I see you?" she asked.
"You can see me, awesome." he nodded.
"And hear you."
"It comes with the seeing." he replied sarcastically. "Some how come you can see me?"
"It s a long story." she sighed.
"I don t got all day." he replied.
Lady spent a good portion of time going over all the events since they last spoke, which was before they first left to the guild, as Necro has not been filling him in.
After filling him in not including her tacking her the book, she was quite tired form all she had to cover.
"Wow, it seems like you need a teacher." he chuckled.
"How do I get one?" she asked.
"just resurrect Necro s dad, he s a good start."
"How do I do that."
"How much do you know?" asked Death giving her a stare.
"I have the basic understanding of how it works form reading the book." she said looking at the very book in her hand.
"Well you just need to Concentrate on the person you want to bring back." he said.
"Is that it?" she asked.
"No, oh sorry I ve got to go." he said leaving.
"NO WIAT!" she shouted.
But the mirror was now empty, she would have to do it alone.
Outside in the city Harris was talking to a few of the citizens about the book.
"And have either of you ever been in the castle?" he asked.
"No." they said.
Harris eyed them up "Okay thank you for your time." he said.
Before he cam move on he saw Necro coming towards him and was already angry and upset.
"What do you want?" Harris grunted.
"I want to talk to you about Blair." said Necro.
"What about her." he said walking away.
"She s only doing what I asked her to do."
Only saying that make him get angry as the words formed in his mouth Harris grew angrier, his eyes filled with rage his fist clenched. He spun around to attack but he was met with a wall of water that slowed him down. As his fist collied it froze him in place.
"If you spend your whole life being angry at someone, when their gone you spend the rest of yours sad that you where angry." said Necro as he walked away.
Harris was left his anger still there as the ice evaporated, he started to think about what he had said, knowing he had lost a father he never knew. As he began to come to terms with what Necro had said he kept it in mind as he continued his search.
After hours of trying Lady had stopped, she was now pacing in her room the book open on her bed.
"Okay lest try this again." she said.
As her mind settled in on Kyle she soon saw his body stating to take form as he slowly appeared form feet to legs to body and arms, ounce his head appeared he screamed in pain and agony.
In sheer panic Lady stopped and he was gone. "Um lest try that again."
He put her mind to it ounce again but he still came back screaming, and when she lost concentration he was gone.
"One more try." she said.
This time when the head appeared she looked past the screaming and was able to keep his presence with out him just dispersing.
"What s going on he panicked." as he backed up in to the corner. "I m dead I can t be hear."
"No wait." said Lady.
"Wait, what s going on?" he asked.
"I ve trying to bring you back." she explained.
His mind rapped around what she said and he knew that she needed help "No, no, you need to reanimate my corpse not bring me back." he pleaded.
"Try again." he said before snapping his own neck, leaving his body behind.
Taken back she tried to bring him back and this time as he came back to life, he was still craving death.
"No, it s a different thing together try again." he said as he turned in to a dragon and shoved his fist though his chest to rip out his own heart. Before falling to the floor.
This time looking back over the book she looked at the other section, on reanimation and focused again on brining back his identify and not him as a whole. As his body came back to life he put his heat back and turned himself human.
"Can you teach me?" she asked.
"Hold on, first tell me what s happened,"
Lady sighed.
"When I was gone, I knew that only meant one thing so when he didn t show I knew he was alive."
"He lost his powers, but some how I ve now got them."
"And you want me to teach you, but why?"
"Our bound was broken and we ve split, I don t want to put him though what it must feel to teach me to sue the powers he lost."
"Okay." sighed Kyle. "Lets begin."
