Chapter 24 War On Dragons Part I

As the Dragon stepped out to face his opponent he let out a roar and a breath of flame, he looked down and saw Necro and Blair he knew one but not the other. Necro looked up at the dragon and Blair was unsure as she tried to portal out but they would not penetrate the bubble.
Necro used his power to form rocks around him self to create amour and a sword of water grew in his hand. The Dragon bent down to get on to his level and smiled as he got in close.
"What are you doing?" asked the dragon.
"Just play along." said Necro "You to Blair and make it look good."
Necro jumped at the Dragon and he backed away as his fist grazed him, Blair picked up on what they where doing and used her portals to gain hight and came flying down to land on him, only for the Dragon to move out of the way. In the seats above Harris and Lady looked on.
"We have to do something." she insisted.
"There is nothing we can do, with out causing a scene."
"That s Nova s father." she said.
"Well, have you looked at the fight."
"What do you mean."
"Necro killed the girl with ease, why not do the same."
Lady looked down, she knew that all his time as a Necromancer gave him the upper hand to use his magic to kill just as easily, but as she looked around the others had bought the ruse as to them it was entertainment. Looking on, the battle seemed more like a dance as their movements where done with time to let the other catch or avoid the attack and they worked together to make it loom as if they where fighting. As the three broke apart Necro stopped as they cheered for his death their was no way out of this, so he stopped.
"What are you doing." said Blair as she paused.
The Dragon did the same.
"He knows as I do their is no escape." said the Dragon.
"Hmm," came the announcer "Lets make this a tag team, send in the Dragon born."
Harris and Blair where drawn to this as out stepped Nova, her glasses where gone but she was still human as she stepped out.
"Go ahead." said her father,
Nova took on her Dragon form and showed her her power as she conjured glass shards to fall down and breathed out rocks.
"You take him I ll take her." said Necro.
"Necro, what are you planning?" asked Blair hopping for plan.
He charged on as he gave it his all trying to take her breath she countered and smashed him in to a wall of ice before conjuring in a cannon ball to throw it at the wall of ice. Necro was bale to avoid the ball, unable to under stand what it was he was doing Blair joined in and started to fight and the Dragon did the same. Nova was only play fighting, wile Necro used the opportunity to let out his anger and hate, he was trying to kill Nova knowing her power was more then a match for his own, he hopped. Harris and Lady where only able to look on, wile the Dragon Hunters where but unaware of what was going on.
"Okay now we can intervene." said Harris seeing how Nova was now in danger.
"So how do we do that?" asked Lady.
"Try using your power."
"On who."
"The ring leader."
"Which ones that?"
They both looked around tying find someone, then seeing a elevated balcony where the announcer was located.
"Try him." suggested Harris.
Lady focused her powers when he spoke.
"It seems", we have a new challenger.
Braking her concentration, she looked in to the arena as someone else entered the ring, he was just like the others. They watched as he came in and broke up the fight, he swung his sword and simply beat them and forced them to the ground.
"No, him." said Lady reaching out a hand as she balled a fist.
He started to though them around using physical magic to pick them up and smashing them in to each other, with them unable to fight back they where sitting ducks. Lady concentrated hard as she focused in on him as she tried kill him, but her anger got in the way she only then imaged what she wanted to afflict on him. The man started to scream as sideways cuts pierced though his body and cut him up, before he was banished to the afterlife in pain.
"That was no right." panicked Lady biting her lip.
"What did you do?" asked Harris socked over what she had done.
"I don t know, but I regret it."
Everyone was shaken, the others got up and Harris and Lady raced towards the bubble as eyes turned on them. They reached the bottom row and jumped in, not knowing of they could escape.
"Good to see you join us." said Necro.
"A thank you might be nice." replied Harris.
"They used magic to keep us down, we had little choice on what to do."
"Okay then, how do you suppose we escape?"
"We need a lot of magic to penetrate the bubble."
"Nova." said her father "You not what you must do."
She nodded as she raced off, back the way she had came.
"Why aren t they attacking?" asked Lady.
"Your a Necromancer." said Necro. "They don t now if you can do that to them." he avoid the truth.
"Can I?" she asked unsure on her own power.
"Not yet." he said not wanting to let go over the power they now had over the dragon hunters.
"I sill can t get a portal out of her." said Blair.
Then they all turned as the crashing bang of the portcullis being flung off the wall sounded as it came flaying past them, following it Dragons flooded out, all flying around in the bubble, as they used their magic to hit the bubble. Watching on it was sight to behold as each one used their own magic on the bubble spinning around at high speeds the colours looked like a light show spectacle. The last one to flay out was Nova, her father joined jumping up and Necro turned in to his dragon form took of after them, and that was the last straw. With everything they where giving it the bubble was starting to shake and quake under the eminence strength, then Necro used his fury and rage to his advantage as she shot earth shattering effects on to the bubble. The on lookers watched as the bubble finally burst and the dragons started to fly up towards the celling braking though free ounce more. Necro, Nova and her father landed on the ground with the others.
"Blair can you?" asked Nova.
"Sure." she said and opened a portal to the court yard.
As they walked through all seemed well, but as they heard the sounds of wings flapping they looked up to see the dragons all flocking their in the far distance.
In the throne Nova was sitting back down the others gathered all around her she had chosen her human form this time, to address them.
"The glasses have been moved to the vault and it has bee locked." said a guard.
"Thank you." smiled Nova.
The guard left the others where still taken back by recent events.
"Are you okay now?" asked Blair, "Your not going to run away again are you."
"No." she said "I m still young and being a queen is not a job for a child."
"That s why you have me." said Necro.
"And me." add Lady.
"Plus you have us." said her father as he entered in his human form. "You have your friends to guide you until the day comes that you will no longer need them."
"That day will never come." said Nova.
"But now the Dragons are nesting her, they will find safety under your rule."
"Yes, yes they will." said Nova "As I will make sure that their united laws to make sure the land is safe for everyone. And that means brining down the dragon hunters."
"We can t go to war." said Harris. "Are numbers are to little."
"We don t need numbers we have an Necromancer." Nova smiled.
"I can t use my powers fully." protested Lady.
"I can teach you." said Necro.
"Good we ll leave as soon as everything is in place." said Nova.
Her father left with Harris and Blair.
"How do in control it?" asked Lady.
"It s simple don t." said Necro.
"I can teach you, but the simpler answer is to use the book."
"I tried that already."
"But if Miss Bella enchants the pages, it will come more naturally."
"Oh, then lets do that."
The two left to find Bella.
Bella was in the library collecting books for the guild s classes, the large expensive room was filled with tall books shelves spaced out with tables and chairs in between for all to use. The higher area s where only accessible form the balcony that wined it s way around the top of the shelves. She had a stack of books ready to go when the two arrived.
"Miss Bella." said Necro.
"Please stop calling me that, Bella is fine." she requested.
"Okay then, Bella." started Necro again "We think it s time that you enchanted the book so that Lady can learn how to fully use her powers."
"I agree." she nodded "But will you teach the new Necromancers when they arrive?"
"Yes, but we are going to kill all the Dragon hunters and having Lady with full control over her powers is going to be a real help."
"Then lest make this quick." she said hurrying away.
They arrived at the vault and found it was now locked, with a magic seal.
"How do we get it?" asked Bella.
"Nova must have mad a new enchantment." said Necro "We have to go see her before."
"Why did you stop?" asked Lady.
"Ask Blair." he sighed.
Turning around Blair had arrived though a portal.
"We have to go." she said.
"But I haven t got full control over my powers yet." Lady panicked.
"We don t have time."
Lady looked at Nero.
"No better teacher then a life or death situation."
"No, there is a better teacher." Proposed Bella.
But Necro had already dragged himself though the portal. Lady followed after and as Blair went back though it closed behind her.
They where now gathered in the throne ounce more, everyone was ready to go.
"I don t like are odds, they have untold magic in their mitts." Harris argued.
"That s why, we ll have these." said Nova.
A golden glow began move up everyone s body s form their feet to their necks, as it passed over they found them selves in their Dragon quartz amour with their weapons as well, this time Harris had bow and Lady had nothing.
"Before we go." said Necro "Is their anything else we are going to need?"
Everyone was quite, as their minds thought it over.
"Good then lest go." he said.
Blair opened a portal to inside the area and it seemed empty form the single glance inside, everyone began to walk though ready to fight, but Lady was still unsure she did not have full control over her powers yet and as such would not be that cable. Looking back Necro reached out an arm.
"Don t worry, it s all going to be okay." he promised.
Lady walked though leaving him with his hand stretchered out, as he pulled it back though and the portal was closed. They looked around to see the place was quite empty and abandoned.
"Where is everyone?" asked Blair.
"Have they left it and moved on?" wondered Harris.
"It doesn t matter, we must find them," Insisted Nova as she raced over to a portcullis and looked past it s metal grate.
"Nova." called Necro. "You can t win every fight, and no matter how hard to try evil will always remain."
Nova slumped down as she fell to her knees. As they all looked over at her they felt as if they could have done more.
"Very well put." came a voice.
Turning around the seats all began to fill as they came out from hiding.
"But you see." he continued.
Harris shot arrow and it went though his eye dropping him to the floor, then they all just jumped down at them to fight. In a flight or fight response Harris sped away and Blair raced for an exit, Necro shot out a ball of flame to cover him as he dived for another exit Lady followed after him and Nova just added to flame before she darted in to the maze like halls as well. The five where now split and with it the army split as well.
