Sandhya's POV



Just the thought of him with someone else gave a jolt to me and I came to my senses. I got away from him, with a jerk. But he pulled me back.

" Say it, You don't want to get married to an unknown person. "

" I know him... "

" Then, tell me his name.... "

" I don't want to... "

" Yes, You don't want to, you don't want to marry an unknown man. Just say it once. "

" So, what will happen, if I say that? "

" Try saying for once, sweetheart. "

" Fine, I don't want to marry that unknown man. " I took a deep breath.

" Ok then, you don't have to. " he was grinning like a fool. Was he mad? Was he a doctor?

" What? " I asked.

" You don't have to... " All of a sudden he came very close to me and kissed my cheek. Then he kissed me on my earlobe. I felt as if my heart stopped for a few moments and then started beating again at a double speed.

Then we heard a knock on the door. We got separated and I turned my back towards the door, as I was as red as a beetroot.

He said come in but his voice seemed to be very different. Very heavy and husky.

It was a ward boy who came with a circular. Why had Ajay and Chirag not come yet?? I looked at the time. I was in hospital before time, but how? Why?

Shubh was in a hurry and told me to hurry up and I came without looking at the time.

I left the room and went outside. I could see his eyes on me. But if he is getting married to someone, why was he kissing me?

But why did I like it when he kissed on my cheek and ear? I was melting under his mouth as the butter melts on a hot skillet.

I would have to avoid him. He was doing funny things to me. I couldn't even move an inch, as if, I was fixed to the ground.

Ajay and Chirag came and we went to Devil's cabin again. He had some patient with him, we waited for him to finish. He was saying something but I couldn't hear anything. I was still thinking about the way he was playing with me.

A tear slid from my eye. Was I falling for him? Why did his words and touch affect me? I couldn't think about him like that. He didn't want me, he never wanted me, he would never want me. He wanted his life partner to be perfect...

I excused myself and went out. Chirag was talking on the phone. Ajay came after me. He caught my hand and said, " Is there anything wrong?? You are not your usual self. You are looking very sad. What is wrong? "

" Nothing, It is... Just like that.. "

" No one is sad or in tears, just like that. Pls, tell me. "

" Ajay, it is just not one of my days. Please leave me alone. "

" Chirag take him away..." Chirag nodded and caught Ajay's hand and pulled him out

" Why are you behaving like this? " I asked him with fire in my eyes.

" Of course, I would behave like that. He was about to propose to you. "

" Why? Are you my father or brother? " he smiled at that.

Was he mad ???

" Not at all, Far from any of those. "

" Then how does that matter, if he proposes or not? "

" Well it does, Did you forget that you are going to get engaged to someone tomorrow? "

" Did you forget that, about half an hour ago, when you... " I asked but stop in the middle of the sentence.

He smiled and came closer.

" I what, Sweetheart? "

" Stop calling me that... "

" What sweetheart?? "

" You know, you are the most obnoxious and irritating man, I have ever met. "

" You are the sweetest, loveliest, most beautiful and cutest girl I have ever met."

" Ugghh... Sir, I am not feeling well. Can I take this day off? " I asked sarcastically.

" Aww sweetheart, you are not well? Come to me, I am a doctor. Remember?"

" Please, sir... "

" Ok, call Shubh... "

" No, I will go on my own... "

" No way. Either you go with him or me. " I hate him

" I will go with him and from tomorrow onwards, I will go with my would-be husband. "

He grinned after hearing that... I didn't know, that I just told a joke.

" All the best. May you enjoy your married life as much as I am going to enjoy it. " He smiled.

I hate him. Period.

I called Shubh, he said, he would come in half an hour. I went to the cafeteria.

My friends were there, so I joined them.

" Hey, Sandhya, where have you been? How is your aunt? '

" She is good now. Listen, I want to invite you all, for a party tomorrow. Will send you the details of time and venue. " I was telling them when I saw a very beautiful girl. It looked as if, she was looking for someone.

She came towards us and asked, " Do you mind telling me where is cardiology department? I have to meet Dr Rathore. " She was so beautiful, elegant and sophisticated. Was she the one, with whom, he is getting married?

Ruchika looked at me and then she said, " Come I will take you there. " She followed Ruchika.

I was curious about her so I went after them.

She knocked at the door of his cabin and went inside. She threw herself on him and he took her in his arms and kissed on her forehead.

" Hey, what are you doing here? " He asked her with such tenderness.

" We need to go shopping, right now. And have you even selected a ring? " He just shook his head and smiled.

" I thought so, C'mon get up now, we need to do a lot of shopping. " He was looking at her with so much love. I couldn't see it anymore. He had such a nice and beautiful girl like her and he was flirting with me. I hate him.

They came out of his cabin when someone called her and she took out her phone and started walking while still talking on the phone. Devil saw me looking at them. He came to me.

" So, she is the one? Well, she is very beautiful. Good for you. " He grinned at what I said.

" Yes, she is very beautiful. I love her a lot. Jealous? "

" Are you nuts? Why would I be jealous? So when are you getting married? "

" Soon very soon, I can't wait anymore... " He said and I wanted to yell at him, to go to hell.

I turned to go and saw that

Shubh was also coming towards us.

Thank God! He came. All of a sudden, that girl turned and her foot got twisted and she lost her control, due to her high heels, she started falling and before devil could react, Shubh caught her. But due to sudden impact, both fell on the floor with that girl on top of Shubh .

Both devil and I rushed towards them. They were still lying on the floor. They both were looking at each other.

What was wrong with Shubh? Devil cleared his throat and they came back to earth. The girl smiled shyly and tried to get up by pushing on his chest. Shubh was smiling now.

Devil offered his hand, she caught his hand and got up. Shubh also got up. They were still stealing glances at each other.

" Hi Shubh, how are you? I hope, you are fine after this little accident. " Devil asked and Shubh nodded. Dr Devil then looked at me and smirked.

" Shubh, I would like you to meet my sister, Vidhi. And Vidhi, he is Shubh. And she is Sandhya, Shubh's sister."
