Vikram's POV



Gautam called Maurvi, she said she would be home in 5 to 10 minutes. We were really hungry so we told Sandhya to give us something to eat. She went into the kitchen and started plating everything.

We helped her to bring everything to the dining table. She said she will get vada pav in two minutes.

I took everything else and kept on the table. She came out with two plates of Vada pav. Our desi Marathi burger. She served it with slit spicy fried green chilly.

Both of us took one plate. We took a bite and a moan escaped from our throats. It was awesome. We finished it in 1 minute. We asked her to make more.

She went to the kitchen and prepared more.

" Sorry, yaar Vikram but I love her. Sandhya you forget him and marry me. " Gautam said very loudly. So that she could hear it.

I glared at him, I knew that he is just joking. He likes Maurvi, but I got irritated. I didn't say anything.

She came out with two more Vada pav. She handed me one plate. I took it and passed it on to him.

" Oh, no !! That is for you and this one is for him." She said.

" It's ok, what is the difference." I was annoyed.

" I made this one especially for him. After all, he just proposed to me. Please, Gautam Ji, have this one. Just for you... " I was very angry now. I looked at her, she was smiling.

Why the hell was she smiling at him? She never smiles at me like that.

Gautam took the plate and looked at me and raised his one eyebrow. He looked very amused.

I looked at Sandhya again. She was smiling mischievously. She even winked at me. What??? She WINKED at me. What is she up to??

" Sure, see Vikram she made it especially for me. " He laughed and opened his mouth to take a bite.

" Take a very big bite, Gautam Ji. " She said and he did. Smiling like anything. But his expression changed dramatically and he started shouting. Saying it was so spicy. Sandhya burst out laughing. She was looking beautiful.

" What Gautam Ji, I thought you wanted to marry me. Can't even handle a bit of spicy food. What would you do, if I always serve you food like this... Divorce me? So, do you still want to marry me??? "

" No, please give me something sweet, I was just kidding yaar. Vikram you eat this and get married to her. "

She laughed and gave him Gulab jamun to eat. I picked up that spicy thing and started eating it. She turned towards me and was shocked to see me eating that Vada pav.

" Sir ??? Why are you eating it?? It is way too spicy for you. Please give it back to me..." She tried to take it from my hand but I held my hand high and took another bite.

" Please, give it back. It has more than double the spicy chutney. You will not be able to tolerate it, please leave that. I would not even have let him take the second bite and you are eating it. Please give it back... " She was pleading.

" No, I will prove it to you that I can handle any kind of food, you will cook for me. I don't care, what you cook or if you don't cook at all. " I said. I wanted her for myself. She is mine.

" Vikram, what are you doing? You can't eat this, it is too spicy. Give it to me. " He snatched it away and made me sit. Sandhya gave me a glass of water and once I drank it, she held a Gulab jamun for me. Her eyes had some moisture in them. I ate the Gulab jamun while looking at her.

A few tears escaped from her eyes. Why was she crying? Did I overreact? Did I scare her?

" I will go and call Maurvi. She must have come by now. " He went out. But I knew he wanted to give us some privacy.

" I am sorry, it was just a prank. He was just teasing you and you were getting affected. And then he joked again about marrying him. So I thought that I must stop this teasing forever and I added extra spicy chutney. I would not have let him take another bite. You didn't have to eat such a spicy thing. I am sorry."

She was saying sorry and was about to cry. I wanted to hug her.

" Why are you crying? It's ok, it was just spicy food, not poison. I am fine, but why are you crying? "

" I don't know... " She said. I hugged her tightly. She snaked her arms around my neck. I was feeling very good that she cares for me.

" Sandhya??"

" Hmmm "

" How about paying your fine now? "

" What? No..."

" Then tell me, why did you cry?"

" I didn't like that you tortured yourself like that. He was teasing you. He doesn't even like me those ways. Do you know, in hospital, he told that man that he is my elder brother. He behaved the same way, Shubh does. So please stop behaving like that. "

" Ok sweetheart, but you know it was really spicy. My mouth is burning even now... "

" Oh, God !! Shall I get you something sweet? I have cake and Gulab jamun. There must be honey or jaggery in his kitchen. What do you want? "

" It is a very interesting question... Can I have, what I want? "

" Yes, of course."

" I want something sweeter than honey. "

"What is sweeter than honey? "

" A kiss from you... " I said and she blushed beautifully. She just shook her head and started walking away from me. But I pulled her in the circle of my arms.

" Hello guys, can we come in, please... " Gautam asked from outside. Bad timing. He is such an idiot, always teasing me. I released her reluctantly.

" Yes, you may... " I smiled at them.

" Hi! How are you? " Maurvi asked us.

" We are good, how are you? " I said to her. Sandhya hugged her.

" You must be hungry, let's have some food first. " Sandhya said and went to the kitchen. Maurvi also followed her.

Both of them came out with more Vada pavs. I looked at Gautam and we both burst out laughing.

" Ok, this time... Please tell me which one is spicy ?" Gautam said and I was laughing at his funny expression.

Sandhya smiled and said,

" None of these is spicy, take anyone. " I picked up one and was about to bite it when he snatched it and started eating. Idiot !!

" Sorry, but I can't take a chance again." He said and we laughed. Sandy explained everything to Maurvi. She also joined us. She ate the vada pav which happened to be her favourite and said that she will eat other things later.

Gautam told the movie options to Maurvi and she said, " No other option? I don't want to see anyone. "

" Please yaar Maurvi, I swear, next time I would ask you in advance about your preference. Let's watch one of them. "

" Ok, let's see a comedy... "

We all started watching movie while eating awesome food. The cake was excellent and that daal vada was also bursting with flavours. We all enjoyed watching it. But the movie was of very less duration. So Gautam and I decided to watch the suspense horror movie.

" Hey !! I can't watch that. I have had enough." Maurvi said and Sandhya also agreed with her.

" Don't be scared, We are here..."

" We are not scared, ok? I am very tired and want to sleep." Maurvi said.

" Please, let's watch this one. " He said.

" No, I don't like horror movies. " Sandhya said.

" Oh, ok... I totally understand. It's ok, after all, you are girls, girls can't handle horror movie. All they like is mushy romantic movies. Can't even think about watching horror ones. " Gautam said teasing them.

" Excuse me ?? What did you just say, Mr Doctor? Girls can handle horror movies. You are an MCP. " Maurvi said glaring at him though it was clear that she was scared.

" MCP..?? What is that? "

" Male Chauvinist pi... Person.."

Both the girls grinned once Maurvi said that.

" Ha ha ha... Very funny we are not. "

" Hey, you said we can't handle it. " Maurvi said.

" Ok, I dare both of you to watch this movie with us. "

" Fine !! " Maurvi said and then looked at Sandhya, she nodded hesitantly, though they looked a bit tense. Gautam was smiling.

We started the movie and settled down on the couch in his home theatre.
