Chapter 44

Sandhya's POV



I got up the next day, we had to go shopping. So I got ready with my casual clothes a white top and black jeans, my hair tied in a high ponytail. I applied a light pink lip colour and I was good to go.

Shubh wore a casual white button-down shirt with blue denim. He was looking very handsome. The doorbell rang and Shubh went to open the door. Vidhi came in looking very pretty as usual.

She hugged me and whispered,

" Wow bhabhi, you are looking very good. Very different from the way you look every day. Bhai will have a tough time being away from you. " She winked at me.

" You tease us a lot... I might take revenge when you will get married. " I said to her, she just smiled.

We both came to the living room. Vikram was talking to my parents... He looked at me and suddenly stopped talking. He kept looking at me. My parents turned to look at me and smiled.

I said hello to him shyly. He smiled at me. My dad told my mom to serve breakfast and pack lunch for him. We all had breakfast and he was ready to go to the hospital.

He said, " Sandhya, could you please give me the diet plan for the new patient, who came yesterday? "

" Yes, sir... " He started smiling mischievously and I realised. Oh shit !! I called him sir out of habit.

I went to my room and got it for him. He took and pointed towards something and said, "What is this Sandhya? Can you please explain? "

I went near him to see what was he pointing at. Everything was clear. I looked at him and asked, " What??? "

" This, please explain... " He placed his finger at a place just below the plan. But nothing was written there.

I was so confused. I looked at him. He bent a bit and said in a very low voice so that only I could hear that.

" Explain to me, why are you looking even more beautiful today? It is not fair, I can't be with you today. And here you are going shopping looking like that... "

I blushed furiously at his words. He raised his eyebrows and said, " Oh God !! Sandhya, You are looking so pretty and on top of that, you blush like that. You will surely give a heart attack to me one day. "

" So what?? You can handle it Mr Cardiologist. " I smiled and winked at him as nobody was nearby.

I moved hurriedly to get away from him before he could react to that. I went near Vidhi. She was already smirking at me. I just smiled.

Vikram said, " Ok, enjoy your shopping, three of you. And Vidhi, try not to bankrupt me. Shubh and Sandhya, please keep an eye on her. Or by the evening there won't be a single Rupee in my account." He was grinning like anything.

" Just you wait and watch, Bhai. You are going to pay dearly for this. After all, it is your wedding. " She said with a devilish look. Cute and beautiful devil.

Everyone was laughing at their light banters. Vikram left for the hospital.

After around half an hour we also went shopping.

We had lots of fun buying stuff. First of all, We bought dresses both westerns and traditional. We were almost same in size. Shubh was losing his patience.. as we tried almost all traditional dresses. I bought 5 traditional Indian dresses, 4 western formal dresses and some casuals. Vidhi kept teasing me, telling me how I look. .. or how her brother is going to react after seeing me in various dresses. Vidhi got 4 traditional, 5 formal western dresses and some casuals. She asked me and even Shubh, which ones she should buy... I helped her. Shubh didn't say much.

We even made Shubh try many designer Indian wears which he would have to wear during my wedding functions. He was looking very handsome in them. He bought 3 of those, One black suit, a few shirts and trousers, and some casual jeans, and T-shirts.

I bought one formal shirt and one designer kurta pyjama dress for Vikram with the help of Vidhi while Shubh was changing clothes. I was feeling shy but wanted to buy it for him. Vidhi helped me chose them. We got them packed.

Next, we bought many pair of shoes, bags, lots and lots of accessories and makeup. Vidhi bought a few perfumes. She asked me which one's to buy. She bought some things for Vikram as well. We were so tired that we decided to eat and relax in the mall only. So we went to have lunch in the food court itself.

Shubh was very quiet, so I asked him, " What happened Shubh?? You are very quiet, what happened? "

" Nothing, I was just thinking that you have grown up... You are getting married in a month. Then you will go away. I am going to miss you." He was getting very emotional as while doing all the shopping he must have realised that time for me to leave the house is just around the corner.

I hugged him and he hugged me back. I also became very emotional.

" Hey don't worry we will find a beautiful girl for you and get you married to her. Then you will not miss me so much as she will distract you with her beauty, charm and love."

I said to him and he smiled and shook his head.

" I am serious, Just tell me what kind of girl do you want? "

" I don't want to get married so soon. I am just 24. I want to get absolutely independent first. I want to take dad's business to another height. " I nodded at him.

" Ok, now tell me what you both would like to eat. I will get it for you." He asked and was looking at all the food joints.

We ordered many different dishes from various joints. Shubh went to take them. Vidhi went to help him and I waited at our table. It took them quite long.

When they came, I felt as if Shubh was a bit annoyed and Vidhi looked a bit embarrassed.

" What happened? "

" N-nothing. "

" What took you so long? "

" I tripped on something and fell on someone... Spilling the contents of the food platter he was carrying. " She told me.

" Oh, did he say anything? Did he get annoyed at you? I hope he was not rude... " I asked her.

" Oh, no... On the contrary, he was very sweet, cute and funny. He even said that he was happy to meet me even under such conditions."

" What was so funny and cute about him? I think that he was a maniac. He was grinning like a fool. " Said Shubh.

" Why?? He was cute. Means It was my fault that his food got wasted. Right? But he was absolutely calm as cool as cucumber. "

" Cool as cucumber or as foolish as a calf? Which normal person would smile if his food platter lands on the floor because someone tripped over something and landed on him? " Shubh looked very annoyed.

" So according to you, he should have shouted at me or scolded me for what I did accidentally? " Vidhi asked Shubh.

" Of course not, I would not have let him do any of that. But he behaved weirdly as he got the chance to flirt with you. "

" He was not flirting. He was just being friendly. "

" Of course he was. I would have punched him if he had said another word." Shubh said.

" Excuse me, can I join you? " We heard a voice and we turned to find a man standing there with a very big smile on his face.
