Sandhya's POV



I was wondering why Maurvi was a bit upset today? She was stealing glances at Gautam Ji and when he did the same she looked away. There seemed to be some awkwardness between them. It seemed that they wanted to be with each other yet they were doing just the opposite. What was going on???

I was about to ask her that when someone knocked on the door. She opened the door. She looked at him and was surprised to see him.

" Yes?? What happened?? Did you... forget something? " She asked him.

He looked at her she was wearing a pink night suit. He kept looking at her for a minute or two and then cleared his throat and said,

" Can I come in? I need to talk to Sandhya for a minute. "

She nodded and stepped aside. He entered into our room and came towards me he had an ointment in his hand. What was that for?

" Sandhya, I need to tell you something. Today while we were cooking, Vikram's hand got burnt. I wanted to apply this ointment on the burns but he is an adamant fool. I thought I should tell you. Can you please tell him to apply this? I can't see him in pain... "

I was shocked to hear that. His hand got burnt, just because he was trying to cook something to impress me? And why didn't he tell anyone? Why the hell he was cooking?

" What?? Why didn't he say anything? Did he pour cold water over it? Has he taken any pain killer? " I started walking towards the door.

I went to their room and opened the door. He was lying on his bed and I ran towards him. He got up from the bed. I looked at him and then caught his arms to see which hand had a burn...

" What is this?? Why didn't you tell me?? What was the need to cook if you can't... ? Are you having too much pain? Did you pour cold water over it?

Did you take s pain killer.? Oh god... "

I knew I was about to cry.... in fact my tears started flowing... He kept looking at me as if was thinking something.....

" Why don't you say something??? Why did you come to cook... We suggested cooking to Rahul Ji and Mehul Ji.... because Priya and Megha were angry with them... Why did you have to cook and get your hand burnt? It must be hurting so much... Hey at least say something.... "

" What shall I say, sweetheart... I am tongue-tied when you start talking like this... Relax, it is not as bad as it looks like.. and yes, I poured cold water over it... It is a simple first aid... And I am a qualified doctor... Remember?? I am fine... Don't panic... And they were trying to impress their wives with their culinary skills. So I also wanted to impress mine.... " my tears were flowing like anything. He wiped my tears.

" What do you mean by relax and don't panic? .... And I remember very well that you are a doctor... But you must keep it in your mind that you are not comfortable in the kitchen... You are not a chef... So just stay away from the kitchen... There is just no need to impress your wife... You don't have one till now... "

" Very soon I am going to get married to a girl... So she will be my wife in less than a month... I wanted to impress her... Do you have a problem? " He asked me.. he is always teasing me.

" Yes, I have a problem... I have a problem because you got hurt... You didn't have to impress her.... "

" Why, are you jealous?? That I was trying to impress her as she is very important in my life.... "

" Stop kidding, please... I hate it when you hurt your self..... Please don't ever try to impress your future wife with your culinary skills... You don't have to hurt your self to gain her attention... She is already impressed by you... I mean it. " He smiled and took me in his arms...

" Hey... Hushh love, don't cry... My pain is going away... Just be there in my arms like this...and I will be absolutely fine by morning.. " oh I was still in his arms...

" You are like the best pain killer for me .... Please be here... I need to tell you something... Sandhya... I can't even imagine my life without you in it. I want to spend... Every second of my life with you... I LOVE YOU... "

The moment I heard that all my emotions came out through my eyes. I cried even more.

" Sorry If I did something wrong... Why are you crying.? " he was confused as hell...

I LOVE YOU TOO. " I said with my head buried in his chest. He almost froze... He wanted to look at me but I tightened my arms around his waist.

He asked me to repeat that and I shyly did that... He looked so happy and excited that he picked me up in his arms...

He kissed me most gently and I kissed him back till we could not breathe..... He peppered kisses on my face and neck. I was flowing with the current... But he stopped kissing me... I don't know whether I was relieved or disappointed.....

He asked me to stay in his room for the night... As he wanted to spend more time with me...

I agreed after a negotiation... I said that I would stay on two conditions... One he would not cook again and another one is that he will not draw... He agreed reluctantly. We talked about our likes and dislikes... And other things. Finally, we slept cuddled up with each other.

I got up cautiously not to wake him. And went to the room where I was supposed to stay overnight.

I entered the room and saw that Maurvi was sleeping on the bed while Gautam Ji was sleeping on the very uncomfortable couch there.

I got out of my room again and went to take a walk... It is like a paradise...

I sat down on one park chair... I kept thinking about the events that took place yesterday. I saw Gautam Ji coming out of the room... I smiled at him...

He smiled and said, " So you took care of his hand? " I didn't want to blush... but as usual I did. His smile widened and he shook his head.

" Sorry because of us you had to sleep on that uncomfortable thing.. "

He just smiled and said, " Oh it was alright.. it was not that bad..." He was smiling mysteriously... What was going on...

Everyone started coming out of their rooms. Vikram also came and sat beside me and was smiled at me. I smiled back. He whispered, " Why do you get up so early? It is not fair... I wanted to wake up in your arms. "

I blushed very hard... Priya and Megha saw this exchange from far off and cleared their throats... They were smiling at us and as I looked at them they wiggled their eyebrows. The colour on my cheeks darkened even more. They started laughing loudly. Vikram got up and joined his friends while all the girls came towards me.

Priya asked me, " Sandhya, do you mind telling us, exactly what did Vikram say or do to make you blush like that..? "

' Oh, nothing... " Megha placed her arm around my waist and said... But I can't blush if my husband does not say or do nothing.. " Maurvi smiled and winked at me... I closed my eyes and became redder... they burst out laughing.
