Bachelor Pad

*One Week Later*

Eva and Alaric stood outside the large mansion and grinned brightly at their sons. The look of confusion on their faces, made Alaric want to laugh.

Callum scrunched up his face, "I never pegged you for a mansion kind of guy dad, but it’s nice. I mean I’m all for this being the new family home.”

Eva chuckled, "Boy, we’re not living here… you are… all four of you.”

His eyes widened. "But-”

Alaric put his hand up silencing him. "No Callum. It’s time.”

Callum knew it, just like the rest of his brothers. Still, the idea truly terrified the four who had been forced to grow so quickly. Living with their parents was the last form of their childhood that they could hold onto. And the idea of leaving, somehow made them feel like scared children all over again.

Fabian inhaled sharply, "Ca-can we still come visit and stuff?”

"Anytime,” He smiled as his father pointed to how close in proximity their house really was. "But your mother and I need some time to enjoy being together. And you four need to transition into this next phase of your lives. Plus-” He grabbed Eva, "I’ve been waiting to be able to see your mother walk around the house naked.”

Callum stared at his father in pure disgust, "You could have left that part out.”

Laughing, Alaric opened the door to his son’s new home.

Eva pointed, "It has multiple wings. That way you all can have your own privacy and still be together.”

Going into the small elevator, the six made their way to the second level. Exiting, Eva beckoned everyone to the right down a long hall. "To the right is Waylon’s Wing.” Red and white adorn everywhere. "All of your sides have a master bed and bath, and a guest room with a bath. A full kitchen and common area. Think about it like a really fancy apartment in a lush apartment complex.” Waylon’s eyes widened, as he stood inside the personal gym. Eva grinned, "Your dad also added an additional room for your personal growth. Waylon…yours is a gym. But not just any kind of gym…think about a sport. Any sport.”

He arched his brow, "Okay…um soccer.” The room slowly shifted to a field covered in lines preparing for a game. A small breeze coursed over him, as a soccer ball rolled to his leg. "Woah…” He patted his father on the back. "This is amazing!”

"Make sure you invite us other to play a few games and work out.”

He nodded pleased. "Thank you and thank you mom for everything. I like the color. It’s very me.”

She gave him a big hug in response. Following her from Waylon’s side, she pointed across, "To the left is Declan’s wing.”

They slowly walked down the hallway. Similar to Waylon, Eva specialized Declan’s area to his taste. Black and white everywhere, his mouth dropped as he took everything in. Eva loved seeing her baby boy so excited, especially since his side was the one, she was most worried she’d get wrong. Approaching his specialty room, she pushed the door open. Book lined the walls of an ever-going library.

"For your studies and recording, but also-” the room shifted into a large computer room, "For your research and understanding. These computers catalog all your souls that you’re in charge of and have all of the information of the ones you will soon have to collect. They can’t be hacked, they’re completely magic…designed by both your grandfather and Lucifer. They allow you to pull up visions of different areas and people as well.” His eyes widened. "They told us how much you admired the ones they used and that you should have your own.”

Upon hearing Eva’s request to give the four a new home, their grandfather and Lucifer created this house just for them at their parent’s specific instructions.

*"I know this doesn’t make anything right…but at least…at least we can do this for them.”*

And now, seeing Waylon and Declan’s face, Alaric and Eva knew they made the right decision to let them help. "Alright, how about we go see Fabian’s wing next?” Eva said with a smile.

Fabian grinned brightly, "Please say sex dungeon!” His mother glared at him and he rubbed the back of his neck. "I was only kidding, I promise.”

*Not like I would want to do anything with anyone other than-*

He immediately stopped his thoughts, they hurt too much. Climbing back into the elevator, they made their way to the next floor. Exiting, they turned to the right, and Fabian's eyes lit up seeing the green and white décor. He stood in front of his specialty room. He looked back to his father,

"H-how did you?”

"I saw the way you looked at the art Fabian…at first, I thought it was because of- well the content, but I realized that you really have always been our most creative child.” It was his secret. The innate attraction he had to create things. His power lying in draining and taking, while his passion involved creating and giving a bit of himself to the world.

Callum chuckled, "Starving Artist…definitely can see it now.” The room shifted to different art forms as he thought about them. Fabian hugged his parents, "Thank you…thank you for paying attention.”

Eva nodded, "Your fridge is also a specialty. A never-ending supply of blood.” She looked at him, "I want you to know that I’m not judging any of your choices, I’m just saying that you can take another route if you want to.”

He felt a lump form in his throat, "I-I want to do this… need to do this.”

Eva said nothing else. She knew the guilt he felt was different than his brothers. He’d directly harmed Fiona, and that was eating him alive.

Quietly exiting his side, they made their way to Callum’s wing. Silver and white, he immediately grinned. "I might detest Uncle J.C, but I have always admired the color scheme of his home.”

Alaric laughed, "He actually was the one who suggested it. Told me to tell you, maybe as a thank you, you could stop with the prank of freezing his pipes.”

Callum chuckled, "I thought he enjoyed walking on water…just being helpful.” Eva cut her eyes, and he hugged her. "Sorry, mom. I’ll leave Uncle J.C alone.”

She kissed his cheek. “Good. Now let’s go check out your specialty room.”

Entering Callum, raised his hand to give his father a five. "NOW THIS IS WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!” He celebrated as he sat at the poker table. Picking up the cards, his smile widened as the room began to interact and play.

Alaric laughed, "All of your rooms interact with you. No sense in doing activities completely alone.”

As they made their way back downstairs, Eva finished the tour. "Another kitchen down here, more common rooms, beautiful backyard, the works.” Alaric and Eva walked to the door, and they could feel the heaviness in the room. "Hey…we’re right down the street, and you all are right here with one another.” They nodded, and Eva hugged each one of them. She smirked, "And don’t worry, something tells me you all will have company before you know it.”

Declan looked at her confused, "What’s that supposed to mean?”

Hugging his sons, Alaric’s gleam matched her expression. "Just remember, one thing your mother doesn’t tolerate is when someone messes with her boys…ask your grandfather, whose jaw is still healing from her punch.”

"MOM PUNCHED GRANDDAD?!” Callum shouted to his parents as they disappeared.

Declan inhaled sharply and shook his head and Waylon touched his shoulder. "Are you alright?”

He shook his head again. "Yeah…just keep hearing this voice.”

"A soul?”

"No…it almost sounds like…” His face paled, hearing her again. He looked to his brothers, the concern evident on their faces. His lips parted.

"It’s Desiree, she’s summoning me.”
