A Game of Chance
*Four Days Later*
"And you’re sure he hasn’t checked in to none of the programs?”
"No…Max hasn’t been here since he found out Callum resigned,” Jonelle responded, frowning at Charlee.
Max had grown attached to Callum in such a short time, and now that he was gone, Max no longer showed up for his community service. She was worried, and she wanted to ask Callum for his help, but to call him would be to see him, and she didn’t know if she was ready. After hearing about Willow and Desiree, she knew in her heart that she would melt into his arms as soon as he stood in front of her. Watching Jonelle leave, she sat back at her desk.
*He’s trouble…and he makes me trouble*
Charlee picked up the numerous PAID IN FULL invoices for the institution. She bit her nail.
*There’s no going back now*
She’d made a choice. Was it bad? Absolutely. Did she regret it? No. And that was the part that was truly bothering her. For as much as she wanted to be angry at Callum, she’d witnessed what happened. And the way he'd taken control, did something to her entire body. Charlee picked up Max’s file, a feeling of dread going through her.
"Callum…I need you,” she sighed and placed her head in her hands.
Her body stilled, as she felt Callum’s strong hand run through the back of her hair. "You changed the color…to silver.” She remained silent. "It’s nice.” Callum removed his hands from her hair and backed away.
"Thank you.” Charlee kept her head in her hands, not wanting to look at him. He saw her shoulders move up and down and heard a low sniffle. He bent down and held her hands gently and removed them from her face. Seeing it reddened and tear-stained made him feel horrible.
"I know I messed up and that you probably don’t believe me, but I SWEAR on my life, that wasn’t supposed to happen.” His face crumbled. "I broke my word, but I was trying. I was …I was trying so hard to be good for you and to prove to myself that I could finally do something right.”
She wiped her eyes, and she grabbed his face kissing him. Charlee placed her head against his. "You are good Callum…you are.” He inhaled sharply, and she kissed him again. Standing, Callum pulled her in his arms and the two stood in silence. "Max is gone.” She said finally.
He pulled her away. "What?”
"H-he stopped coming after you did.”
Callum mutter expletives. "I’ll find him.”
She nodded, knowing he would keep his word. Callum closed his eyes.
*I let another person down*
Max trusted him, and he wasn’t there when he needed him. As if she could hear his thoughts, Charlee tugged at his shirt. "This is NOT your fault and we’re going to find him.”
There was something about the way that she believed in him, that made Callum feel like even if he made mistakes, he could still somehow learn to make others proud. And for the eldest, who younger brothers seemed to always get it right before him, knowing that one day maybe they could look up to him, meant the world. Because while he’d never told them, he blamed himself every day for all that they’d been through, and the pain they endured.
It was the reason he continued to fail, why he truly didn’t want to be good. Because he didn’t deserve a shred of happiness when he’d taken the happiness of the others he loved so much. Callum never cried again since the day he’d asked his mother for help. But as he held Charlee, he felt his eyes glass over. She felt a tear hit the top of her head, and Callum pulled her closer so she couldn’t see. "Thank you for saying that *Lee*…I hope that one day it could be true.”
She liked the name immediately. "Callum let me go.” Releasing her, she tugged at him again. Kissing him deeply, she groaned against his lips.
He pulled away. "Not a good idea.”
"Why?”
He ran his hands through his hair. She turned away and he watched her walk to the door. Turning the lock, she turned back and faced him, and tilted her head. He sighed in frustration, "I should leave.”
"Do you want to?”
He sighed again harshly. "You know I don’t Lee. But you had a panic attack. My mom has those, and they can be rough, I don’t want you to have another one because of me.”
He saw her eyes gleam. "And you took care of me. Like I’m sure Alaric takes care of Eva…you know, I started counting because of your mom’s book.” She walked over to him, "I-I have anxiety. That won’t go away Callum…if we’re going to be together-” Her face reddened and he placed his finger under her chin.
"If we’re going to be together…” He said smirking, pushing her to finish her words.
"Then sometimes…I may need your help even if it’s uncomfortable. Just like you may need mine, and I’ll be there too.”
He smiled, "I'll be there, whatever you need."
Their eyes traveled down to the diamond on her finger, that began to glow. Callum kissed her hard, hearing her groan again. She grabbed the hem of his shirt and ran her hands against his torso. She inhaled deeply. "Okay. Whatever happens.”
"Whatever happens.”
Callum clasped her face, and Charlee looked into his eyes. His silvered wings broke free, and murals that laced his body started to slowly illuminate, turning from black to piercing white. His horns extended backward.
"Keep going,” Charlee encouraged. He closed his eyes and when he opened them, they burned white. She inhaled sharply but didn’t pull away.
His fangs exposed, he whispered, "Are you okay?” Nodding feverishly, her eyes started to tear. "Lee…” He let her go.
She saw his face fall, and she immediately pulled him back to her. She caressed the face that she thought was the most beautiful thing she’d ever seen. "Y-you look pretty.” Callum scrunched his face and she laughed, "Just wanted to make you laugh.”
He shook his head. "Forever giving me a hard time.”
"Absolutely.” She got quiet and her facial expression slowly started to change.
"Why are you looking at me like that?” She tugged at his shirt, and Callum kissed her passionately, leaving her in a daze. "It’s the magic,” he murmured.
She didn’t care. She knew how she felt about him. Backing into the desk, she unbuttoned his jeans. Callum never took his eyes off of her, as she pulled him from his briefs. She wrapped one arm around his neck and began to stroke against him. Callum's lips parted and his breath turned ragged. She kissed him again, smirking as her movements made him groan. He leaned into her kiss and placed his hands to each side of her body on the desk.
Her tempo increased and he retched his head back. She pulled his head down again, and his white eyes bore into hers. She watched as turned from white to silver as he released from her touch. He shook his head breathlessly, "Revenge from the club?”
"Yep,” she grinned. She saw a smirk play against his mouth and his eyes return white. She cut her eyes. "You look sneaky. What are you up to?”
Callum touched her thigh. "Depends on how much you trust me.”
Charlee kissed him gently on the lips. "I trust you.” She heard him snap and before she could process it, her entire bottom half was bare. She looked around as she heard him snap again.
"Where did my clo-” Callum placed his hands against her back. "Huhhh,” She gasped and fell against his chest. "Oh-” He touched her again. "Huhhh!” Her body jerked as another orgasm hit her. Cumming back-to-back, her legs shook as Callum's simple touch continued to torture her.
She felt his breath against her ear and heard him chuckle lightly, "You know Lee. I ALWAYS play fair, but I’m having so much fun hearing you cum. I think I’ll make an exception just for you.” He flicked her ear with his fang, and she climaxed again.
"Th-hey're going t-to hear m-me!” She said breathlessly and he shook his head.
"Magic remember? They can’t hear a sound. I meant it when I said I’m not going to play fair with you.” Callum grabbed her leg and placed it inside of his forearm, watching her climax again. Feeling her wetness drip down his fingers, he entered them slowly inside. "Look at me Lee.”
Shakingly, Charlee leaned up and locked eyes. She wrapped her arms around his neck, as small orgasms continued through her every time he moved his fingers. He stopped moving and let her catch her breath. Dazed from his magic and her constant orgasms, Charlee entire body seemed to burn. "Do you want me to stop?”
"NO!” She screamed, and Callum shoved his fingers deeper. Tilting them up, he tapped against her sweet spot, sending her entire body into shock. "FUCK!!!!” She screamed loudly, her eyes going completely white in front of Callum for just a moment.
The strongest orgasm she ever experienced, tore through her body leaving her juices dripping down her leg. Callum snapped his fingers and pulled the others from her. Placing down her leg, he grabbed her before she fell. Her entire body shook, and she glared at him. He shifted back to his human form.
"Why are you glaring at me?” He said amused.
"Because that was embarrassing as hell.”
He chuckled. "That’s only because you can’t see how sexy you are when you cum.”
Her face flushed and she playfully glared at him again. "Shut up!”

Eva sat smiling on the couch as she closed the book. "Good Callum.”
She was giddy at the fact that her sons were making things right in their own ways. Her thoughts traveled to Fabian, and she sighed.
*Please Fiona…he needs you the most.*
Opening the book again, she reread the words to cheer her up.
*The eldest who held himself responsible, for the pain for his brothers. Stared into the eyes of his betrothed as she read his soul and his agony. The feeling of how much she believed in him, led to a new type of conquest. To forgive himself, while grasping love means forgiveness from others too. The two locked in mischief, and a vow to support one another as they grew, became the third to past the first test of the Four Horsemen.*
