41. And their heart shall bleed out.

"Hey, you! Where the fuck do you think you're about to go? You have some explaining to do!" Someone growled from behind.

Camilla rolled her eyes in annoyance; the last thing she needed was someone following her and trying to start an argument. The young woman turned around to come face to face with a very angry looking she-wolf. She looked as if she was ready to summon the Devil himself. The woman's face burned red in anger; her hands pulled in tight fists.

"Excuse me? Can I help you?" Camilla decided to ignore all red flags given by the woman. First of all- they met for the first time; she wasn't sure if she had ever seen this woman around the school or pack. Second- Camilla didn't intend to cause any drama for the first day back in school, and the young woman had spent the whole day trying to be as invisible as she could. Of course, she did have a feeling that something might go wrong- mostly since the mark on her neck was left by none other than their Alpha.

"Yes, you can; get the fuck out of here before I rip your miserable excuse of a body in pieces," the woman grinned, crossing her arms in front of her chest. The look on her face was full of satisfaction- she was sure about her victory even before she had a chance to approach Camilla. At times, when pack women got into arguments, they were prevented by the nearest males, but none would help Camilla at this point. A wise wolf would do some research before targeting a particular person, yet younger ones didn't waste time looking for weak spots.

Camilla shrugged her shoulders and smiled at the woman, slowly closing her eyes. The young woman took a deep breath and faced her opponent once again- this time observing the world in red. Camilla could feel how widely Eden grinned at the terrified woman- she enjoyed the game of power and superiority for way too much. The wolf never used whatever perks she might gain as one mated to an Alpha, but Lord, did she enjoy the bloodline she was carrying.

"You fucking freak, what is wrong with you? Wait, don't tell me that you're trying to hide your fear and tears so badly. No wonder blood vessels in your eyes exploded, God- if only you could see how hilarious you look like right now," the young woman tried to hide her terror behind another wave of insults and laughter. Deep down, the woman did suspect how big of a mistake she had made- they learned about the original blood warriors last week, and Camilla seemed too similar to one. Despite that, the woman tried to write it down as anything, but that- hoping that her fear wouldn't come true. Even the eldest warriors in the pack, very skilled ones, didn't dare to as much as talk about the superior full blood wolves, let alone fight them.

"So, a silly excuse of life will stand in front of me and call me a freak, huh? It's funny how a fucking half-blood could stand in the lines of a pack that used to be one of the highest-ranked packs in the world. I wouldn't blame you, no- I'd blame your parents, grandparents, and ancestors for fucking around like little, needy whores, and destroying the bloodline. It's not you, though, don't worry. Now, since I'm in a hurry, please do go for it- rip me in pieces, slit my throat, do whatever comes to your mind as far as the pain is as torturous, I'd beg for death. Step up your game, whore; I'm all into the kinky shit you're about to throw my way. Test. Me." Eden was more than happy about the opportunity to speak up. She loved making others fear her; the wolf could live off the emotions others felt whenever she was around. Camilla wasn't the same, yet she couldn't care less- Eden could do whatever she wanted; suppressing one's wolf would bring awful consequences.

"I'm not scared," the woman snarled in her face. She didn't seem affected by the wolves word, quite the opposite- it pissed the woman off even more.

Camilla was sure that she was approached because of Zane. If a while ago her problems were caused by the young Alpha, so they were now, but in a different way. All the dirty looks thrown her way didn't compare to a person in-person confrontation.

"You think you're so big now, huh? Getting bitten by Zane- that has gotten into your head. But guess what? Everyone knows that he did out of pity. He never wanted you; the old Alpha forced him to accept your sorry ass. Suck it up, sister; he really can't do as much as tolerate you. Do you have any idea why you didn't spend a night next to him, in his bed? That's because I was there, I kept him company, and soon enough, you will have to fall from the heights and face the same dirt as you are. I shall be the next Luna; nobody wants you around anyway." The woman started ranting, a sly grin plastered on her lips. She wouldn't stop if Camilla wouldn't speak up, so the woman had more than enough time to keep on talking.

Both Eden and Camilla kept quiet, listening to the lies fed to them. The wolf refused to believe in her words- Zane didn't force them to sleep in the same bed because Camilla isn't ready; it's not connected to any other woman. By now, a crowd of shifters surrounded them, some holding their phones up, recording the incident. Camilla cleared her throat and opened her mouth to excuse herself, yet she was cut off by one of the teachers, frantically refusing someone from getting inside the school.

"Alpha, you can't come here; you have to wait for your mate outside," the woman kept repeating, but the male wouldn't listen. Just as promised- Zane did drove to the school to pick Camilla up, yet none had an idea what might happen by the end of the day.

Camilla averted her gaze for a split second, and a fist collided with the right side of her face. The woman, who wouldn't leave her alone, decided to attack when least expected. Of course, under any other circumstances, she wouldn't be able to land a punch, but since both Camilla and Eden were distracted by Zane- it was easy to land a blow.
The woman's sudden attack pissed off Eden, while her human side tried to hold her back- the wolf demanded blood.

*"She's not worth it, Eden, stop!"* Camilla begged, but she couldn't reach the raging wolf. Eden put a barrier, making sure her human side wouldn't be able to take over the control or stop her.

Camilla was forced to view whatever happened with horror in her eyes. She couldn't catch a breath when Eden shifted in the middle of the damn school. The wolf lunged at the woman, yet someone tried to jump in front of her. A horrible idea- Eden didn't hurt the male, but he did end up being thrown against the wall like a cheap sticker. The woman watched the blood-colored wolf in horror, her eyes shot towards the entrance, and then the woman shifted to her grey wolf. Eden didn't care who or how gave her the encouragement to shift- all she wanted was to turn the whole school into a bloodbath.

Eden neared her prey, attacking when least expected. Camilla knew, from the force her wolf used during the attack- the woman would end up scarred for life. That is- if she is lucky.
The sharp claws pierced her skin instantly- Eden raised a paw to her snout and inhaled the scent of iron as deeply as she could. Everyone could see the change in her appearance as soon as the wolf got as much as a tiny dose of scent. Now, everyone, including Camilla, could only imagine how bad it gets when Eden is granted a taste of blood.
Eden lunged at the woman again, this time targeting the area of her neck. Playing a game of cat and mouse was fun, but the wolf wanted to taste the blood, not to scare the bitch.

"Camilla! That is enough!" Zane finally spoke up, sounding as pissed off as never. Eden ignored his demand; even his Alpha tone wouldn't work on the wolf.

*"I'm not in control, asshole!"* Camilla screamed at Zane, using their mind-link. She felt deeply pissed and annoyed by his demand. Where the fuck he was to stop this bitch when she was making fun out of his mate? Why should Eden stop, if once again, she is the only one to step up for Camilla?

*"Make her stop then! You're the one who's supposed to keep your fucking wolf under control, not me! If you don't stop that bitch, you better get ready to face the consequences,"* Zane growled in anger. The male didn't try to filter his words, making the worst mistake he could.

*"Did you just call my wolf a bitch? Did you address the wolf that is mated to yours, using such words?"* Camilla gasped in disbelief. She felt the anger building up in her- Zane stepped over the only limit he shouldn't have, and now, he will be the one to face the consequences, not the other way around.

*"Fuck, Camilla, I didn't mean to, I-"* Alpha tried to apologize, but it was too late to admit mistakes. Camilla had blocked him out, same as the wolf, and both sides went for the same goal now.

She was kind enough to let Zane hear the words she would tell her wolf, though. *"Eden, finish that bitch!"* Camilla snarled, letting out all of the emotions she used to hide. Everything- hurt, pain, little things he said and did, came to her mind. She heard Zane gasping, probably because the male had the chance to see her eyes merging together with Eden's. It was a rare sight to see, happened only when both sides went on a killing spree together, and usually- humans didn't take part in those.

Eden gladly lunged at the woman, yet the wolf froze half-way. Someone shot a dart, filled with wolfbane, right to her neck. Her eyelids grew heavier, Camilla's head felt like a brick, and within a few seconds, both passed out on the spot.

After what seemed to be hours, Camilla woke up. She wasn't nude as she was supposed to be after shifting, so someone took it upon themselves to get her dressed. *"Zane, you sick fuck,"* she groaned to herself.
For some reason, Camilla felt like something was wrong- she didn't lay on the bed, but she did sit against a cold wall. After many unsuccessful attempts, she finally opened her eyes to understand that nothing but the darkness surrounded her. The woman's nostrils flared; she took a deep breath and nearly vomited- the stench surrounding her was awful.

*"Eden, what the fuck happened? I feel like a whole building was dropped on my head,"* Camilla tried to reach her wolf, whining in pain. Eden didn't react, and the more she tried to awaken her inner wolf, the worried Camilla grew. Even when angry, Eden wouldn't ignore her pleads.
*"Eden, please, where are you? Please, come back to me!"* Camilla cried out once again.

The young woman broke down in tears, unable to remember what had happened. Camilla tried to cover her face with her palms, but something heavy on her wrist burned her face. The young woman hissed, this time touching the object with a finger. "You must be fucking kidding me! Silver? Zane, you sick fuck, I am going to murder you!" Camilla screamed from the top of her lungs.

Just for her luck, the Alpha appeared within a couple of meters of her. Putting in all of her energy, Camilla stood up, growling at the man. "You're supposed to be my fucking mate, huh? Guess what, asshole- this is not how a mate is treated, even the worst ones of them! Getting me God knows where and locking me into a fucking silver? Man, you must have a death wish!"

"Calm down. You're in the cells; we had to use silver since you can't hold your wolf down! Do you have any idea what she did to that poor girl? Camilla, this is not how we treat our pack members!" Zane argued back, absolutely sure that he knows everything better than anyone.

"Ooooh, if she looks bad, imagine how you will look after I'm done with you. If your poor girl didn't piss off Eden, there wouldn't be a problem- she got what she deserved. You, on the other hand, have gone too far. I'd reject you, but that would be too soft of me, no. No, no, no, I will do much worse. You will watch me die, day by day you will come here and watch how your mate is dying, and you won't do shit about it. Why? Because I know how to hurt myself for you to feel all of that pain. You will beg me to stop like a little bitch you are. And guess what? This is not Eden talking; you took her away from me! You stole the only person I ever loved, and for that, I will fucking destroy you. Piece by piece." Camilla spoke in a whisper, staring at Zane like a madwoman.

The Alpha feared her words, yet he couldn't believe that she could go as far. This was a way Camilla would teach him a lesson, nothing serious.

"Go ahead," Zane chuckled. He refused to believe that Camilla would be capable of the things she just said.

"I'm going to paint the walls red. Your blood is the paint I shall use!" Camilla growled and lunged at Zane. The chains, holding her to the wall, were long enough for Camilla to reach the cell bars. She snuck her arm in between them, grabbing onto the Alpha's neck and squeezing it strong enough for her nails to pierce the skin. The silver bars burned her, but the young woman didn't care, especially since Zane was feeling the same torturous pain as she did. "This is for Eden, asshole," she spat in his face and ripped her hand away, leaving deep cuts in his beck.

Zane stood wide-eyed, unable to process how fast it happened and how easily Camilla dealt with the silver burning her skin. He watched how the young woman returned to the same spot and collapsed, ignoring his existence.

"You fucked up. There's no way back, not anymore. Some things can be broken but not fixed. You broke her; that woman will never be the same as she used to be. Prepare yourself, if she survives- she will hate you till the end of her days. I might be a filthy rogue, but even we treat our mates better than the high Alphas. She's a blood warrior, isn't she? The true blood one, right? A majestic creature, indeed," an older male spoke up. Zane wanted to ignore his words, but the amount of truth he spoke was too insane to be missed.
"She will die, mister. They all die." The male added.

"The fuck you know, shut your mouth!" Zane growled, his eyes still set on Camilla. The woman didn't move; she simply laid on the floor, facing the wall.

"Oh, but I know. There's no need to listen to me, really, I'm just an old fool, but I've seen some of those majestic wolves. Don't believe in me, Alpha, but this one will be dead by the end of the week. Do your research- take the wolf away, and their heart shall bleed out. That's what the Moon Goddess has said."

"Shut up!" Zane yelled at the male, threw the last glance at his mate, and stormed away. He needed to check on the girl and find out what had happened. The Alpha didn't want to believe that Camilla or Eden attacked her without reason, but all he had was as much proof as she got to see. He would find out what happened sooner or later, and better sooner. Something in his gut felt like the old man told him the truth.
Zane dug his own grave, and now he would have to lay in it.
