No One’s Home
                    Hunnie
My heart raced since I haven't seen Kris in weeks, nor been to the castle in almost three months! I was a bit nervous to hear what's thoughts was about everything, and more nervous to face Bahm's mother Fei.
We walked towards the main lobby, existing through the gates and out of the realm. Only stepping a few yards away from the castle's gates, we walked right onto a rocky pathway leading to what looked like a bright and thriving city!
I haven't actually been able to see The Kingdom yet. My eyes took in the tall structures of silver buildings that shimmered like diamonds, and the many different food stands we passed to our sides. Dozens of beings were lined up at each truck, patiently waiting for their orders. The streets were busy with different sized mobiles, carriages, wagons and some were even flying above our heads! The sky was filled with many flying creatures, dragons, witches and even different sized fairies.
"Don't worry, we won't walk all the way there." Anna says suddenly.
"Oh, how far are we?" I asked.
"If we continue walking through The Kingdom, then it'll be 3 hours." I gasped and my eyes travelled beyond. There was so much to see!
Anna throws her hand over my shoulder. "Hop on my back." She says, but I only look at her bewildered. "Come on, you are light as a feather." She says coyly, but she is 1,500 years older than I.
She bends over and I hop on her back easily with her height. As soon as I settled and pulled my dress down from the back, she takes off quickly. The scenery blurred and the wind striking against my face harshly. My hair flys all over my face, covering most of my view as Anna weaves and runs through the busy streets of a Kingdom named Ghabaàr, created by my mate.
She stops on the other side of a bridge that connected to the roofs of the building in the Kingdom. I look over my shoulders and see there were many other bridges that connected to this side of the cliff and to the top of man other roofs . The sun was barely down, but the city flickered with many lights, drawing my eyes like a moth.
"The castle is only a few minutes run from here." Anna says and hoists me higher onto her back.
She continues running through a green and dense forest that changed colors as we zoomed through. I remembered the dry brown patches of green from up above while passing over here in the carriage with Azalea and Bahm on my last day with him.
We stopped again and I was feeling pretty cold after, shivering in place and rubbing on my arms for warmth. Anna rubs my shoulders into a hug and grabs my hands. There was the castle wall up ahead a small gate to the side that was beginning to open up.
Nyko opens the door fully with a dull smile. Her eyes boring through us as she widens the door open some more. "I sensed you coming, go in, castle's empty right now."
She says and Anna bows to her and I follow along up a hill and into the courtyard.
"Im glad his mother isn't here. She was so sad it gave me chills." Anna pouts as we walked down the halls and tightening her grip on my hand.
"You saw her?" I questioned.
"Didn't you see her? Poor woman was trying to open the gates, who knows, she would have probably gone in there after him!" Her eyes widen and then I realized the fox last night, was Momma Fei!!
"Thats' her baby." Anna mumbles as we walk the familiar halls of the castle. Turning corners on the pristine marbled floors.
It pained me to hear her say that. All the stories I've heard about her love for Bahm even though that wasn't her biological son, made me shiver. I've taken him away from her too... Now I was incredibly nervous to run into anyone!
"Do you know where your journal is?"
I shrugged, guessing it could be in Bahm's room. "Kris is somewhere nearby, let's hurry and get your book, I'll try to sniff it out."
She says so suddenly making the hairs on my arms rise. Why was she avoiding Kris. I actually wanted to see him.
I craved a man's rough and calloused touch. Bahm was gone and I missed that warmth from our bond. Now, it was nonexistent, but I still had Kris. We still had each other...
My heart begins to drop in my stomach for some odd reason, feeling like I was sneaking around and being watched. The hairs on my arms rise again once we get to Bahm's room door. His natural body scent floods my nose and my heart races even more.
The door opens up, almost hitting Anna and I!
"YOU THINK YOU HAVE ANY RIGHT TO BE IN HERE!!"
Kris is revealed opening the door up in an anger. He looked disgruntled as he stood there shirtless and wearing light blue colored pajama pants.
"She's only getting her belongings Kris, what are you doing?" Anna says with very much attitude she practically yells. He was very upset, but who was he upset at?
His bones begin cracking right under our eyes and my eyes widen in terror.
"Kris?" I shriek as his body begins to morph.
"HUNNIE!! RUN!!!"
Anna shouts and Kris roars causing me to flinch and I begin sprinting down the hall.
I run on her command, not expecting to be in her way if they were to fight, but as soon as I turned around to check the commotion filling the hall, her body comes flying in my direction. I duck, feeling my own body being brought down to the ground viciously. My chin hits the tile flooring first, sending a cracking noise throughout my ears.
Something sharp pierces my side and then my body is turned over roughly. My eyes widen, nearly popping out of my head when a vicious looking Lycan was pinning me down with drool dropping all over my face. His teeth slimy and long, he snarls in my face.
"YOU BITCH!" His mouth opens up and he roars. His hand comes up into the air and behind his head. He goes to swipe at my face, but then Anna comes flying into his body over mine, and they land into the wall to our sides.
I cover my face from the debris of dry wall breaking all over and coughed from the dust. Crawling to my knees, I cover my mouth and examine the area with squinted eyes. I hear hissing and growling through a cloud of debris, but then my ears start to ring. My chin was on fire, paining me tremendously!
"KRIS STOP!" I hear Anna yell and I failed to recognize that this beast was Kris!
I got up on my feet half way, but I could barely bend from the pain in my lower back.
"HE WAS ALL I HAD!"
I hear the monstrous voice as Kris roaring through the halls, and my feet begin to pick up and sprint down the hall miserably. More commotions fills the halls, echoing off the wall and through the pain in my body. Grunts leaving Anna's mouth and hisses from Kris. Tears began flowing down my eyes, burning from the dust around my eye.
The noise of glass breaking and thuds we heard a few feet from behind me. I was so scared and couldn't get my body to run any faster. I was done for!
"ARRRGHHHH...HUNNNNNIIIIEEE!" I hear another roaring growl before I feel my hair yanked from behind me. I cried in pain and tried to spring free but I was dragged down onto the ground and being dragged by my hair.
"LEAVE HER ALONE KRIS!"
We zoom by a hole in the wall where Anna comes out of. She attacks Kris and dodges his one armed attacks as he still held onto a tremendous amount of my hair. My body jerking and tussled all on the ground. My scalp was on fire and only seconds away from being detached from my skull!
"STOPPP!!!" I cried with the sob stuck in my throat.
I hear a squelching sound before seeing Anna ripping something off an antique shelf and jabbing it towards Kris. The grip on my head loosens up and a pained snarl fills my ears. My body is hoisted into the air and thrown over Anna's shoulders.
She begins running, and I feel all the pressure going to my face and hands as I dangle over her, everything upside down and moving too quickly for my eyes.
