Tensions; Get To Know Me
                    Bahm, The Demon-Wolf King 🤴🏻
When the food arrived, her eyes lit up from the different colored vegetables on my tray and the aroma that lingered off her honey barbecued short ribs.
Her face shined with appreciation and the music in her stomach confirmed it.
She looked edible, like a red macaron, with a peanut butter cream filling.
"Do you want me to feed you?" I asked her boldly, pushing down on my hardness under the table.
"No.." she chuckled, before picking up her fork, "I can feed myself."
I sensed something had been bothering all day. Even this morning when I went to go see her at the academy. She seemed to be avoiding me...
Was she ashamed about last night? She didn't want to be seen with me.
I watched her eat a few bites before I made my pork belly lettuce wrap. She almost caught me staring again, so I hurriedly picked up my fork and turned my head down.
I knew she had lots to say and I too was nervous for what it was she'd ask.
"What are you eating. It looks healthy." She says, holding her fork and knife in each hand.
I was making a pork belly lettuce wrap, with mint leaves and basil. After I dipped it in the peanut sauce, I slid a toothpick through the top and out the bottom.
"Here try it."
"What is it?" She asked still reaching her hands out for it.
"It's pork belly with a spicy peanut sauce. Eat."
She shoved the bite size wrap in her mouth and I could hear the crunching from the lettuce inside her mouth.
I could tell it was a bit too spicy for her. She fans her face slightly.
"Oh wow! Ahhh..That's spicy!" She hissed.
"So you really do like spicy foods..." She was turning as red as her dress.
"I love spicy things... yes...Sorry I thought you could handle it." I said, eyeing her cleavage heaving up and down.
"I did like it, it was good. Sweet and spicy."
I chuckled at her remark. It was just like her.
"So tell me...Why are you so hellbent in joining a coven that's been stringing you along for too long?"
'CRUNCH'
I shoved a wrap in my mouth. I could sense she didn't like my question, but it's true. They've been using her since she was 13 years old to make her feel she still had a shot to ascend.
"Because I want to be apart of it!" Her eyes spoke languages laced with anger, as she looked up at me.
"Don't get mad... I'm just asking a question."
"Yeah and question that you already know the answer too..." she lowered her head back down and pushed around at her corn.
I couldn't help, but to laugh with a mouth full of food. She looked scrumptious her self. Sitting there with her arms crossed, huffing and puffing. I've always like it when she got irritated.
"All I'm saying is, you can learn more special magic elsewhere. You don't need their permission.
"Hmph! Special?" She scoffs.
"Yeah Hunnie, your SPECIAL abilities." I popped a few pork bellies into my mouth.
She straightened her posture and uncrossed her arms. Eyeing the empty room to see if anyone had caught our conversation somehow. I noticed she does that a lot. Always paranoid.
"Don't talk about that here." Her eyes went wide and she whispers.
"No one is here, Hunnie.." I told her and made her another wrap. This time wanting  to feed it to her.
"How do you know? You can't be too sure!!" She whispered again.
I smirked and shook my head. "Trust me, the only person here is our server, and he's actually a vampire. But here, ahhhh...open up."
I stood up half way out my chair and reach across the table to bring the wrap close to her mouth.
"How do you know? And no more! I'm going to ask questions now!" She swayed my hands away and I brought it back against her lips.
"You can ask anything y after you eat this. You said you liked it." My husky voice was on the verge of swallowing her whole myself.
I loved the little fire she had inside.
She opened her mouth and held onto my hand as she  took a bite.
At the same time my personal server came over and brought me a bottle of cognac and a glass of wine for Hunnie.
"You know the server?" She said, taking a sip of her wine and watching him leave.
"Yes, old friend. Next question." I demanded frankly.
She gave me a shock look that was then replaced by an animated eye roll.
"Where did you really sneak off too late night, huh?" She stabs her meal with the fork.
I thought I already answered this...
"I told you ... a job."
"A job late night?" She scrutinizes.
"Yes, I fight demons... but is this what's been bothering you? You think I'm seeing someone else?"
She squints her eyes in denial. Searching my face for more, as I do to her.
I sighed out before answering.
"I promise I'm not seeing a woman. It's a birth given job I have to do." I tell her sincerely.
Hoping this is what's been dreading her all day.
She lowers her eyes back to her half eaten meal and pushes around her asparagus.
Tension lingering in their air.
"I also need to tell you..." She begins before setting her fork and knife down.
I felt my chest racing. Was this going to be another rejection?
"I'm not...ready...
For the whole...mating..process." She rubs her hands under the table.
My heart stops. I remember Kris mentioning not to force her to do anything. As much as it hurts, I can accept this as much as I've accepted her being a dark witch.
She's my mate after all.. I'll do anything for her.
I nod in understanding.

      🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰
We ate in silence for the next few minutes.
Completing the mating process. She's worried.
I wasn't sure how to handle it, but I mustn't force it all on her. It's better to understand more about my mate.
"Where's your family?" She breaks our silence.
"Overseas. It's only me and Kris here." I say with a mouthful.
"So, Kris is related to you?" She scoffs.
I take it she doesn't like him.
"He's like a brother to me..." I nod.
"He's a perv..." She mumbles, making me chuckle.
I wasn't about to tell her I taught Kris everything he knew!
She had such a character, that I couldn't even hide my smiles around her.
Once we died down again, I asked her a touchy question to me.
"So..do you practice dark magic a lot?"
 I've always hated Dark Witch.
"Just a bit." She shrugs.
"Does that bother you?" I hear her voice tremble with worry.
"Sometimes," I said honestly.
"I've never got along with any of the ones I've came across." I said crossing my arms and lounging in my chair.
"Oh...why's that?" Her nervous lips quivers out. I wasn't trying to scare her the slightest.
"Because, Dark Witches do a lot of dark sacrifices."
Remembering back to my earlier years....
"I don't... kill anyone and I only sacrifice plants and flowers." She said tucking her hair behind her ears and taking a few sips of her wine.
"Ahh" I nod, hoping to release the tension in the air.
"I have some dark books at my house that you might enjoy reading." I spoke out, watching her lips press against the pristine glass.
Her eyes lit up. I heard from Kris she loves spell books.
I lazily sat back in my chair, with one hand tossed over the back and sipping on my dark cognac.

"Did you like the food Your Highness?"
"Yeah it was all fantastic! Can I take the rest home?" She blushes.
"Of course my Queen. Anything for you.."
She would be Queen when I bring her back home. Might as well, get used to the treatment and the name here in the city!
She was so innocent, not the innocent that I usually wanted to taint, but the type of innocence that could love me back one day. The innocence that could see passed my flaws....
I flashed a smirk over to her and drank all the contents that had once filled my bottle.
The young vampire server came back and handed Hunnie a glass jar filled with an Oreo milkshake topped with whip cream and two chocolate chip cookies, that were covered in mint chocolate sprinkles.
There was an all black macaron that was sandwiched on her swirly, black straw.
Her eyes widened and her heart was dancing all inside her rib cage. I cherished the moments I can make my soulmate happy!
"Oh my gosh! Wow! Thank you!" Shes said cheerfully to the server who bowed and left.
"Wow this is so beautiful!" Her plush pink lips stretched across her face.
I knew she'd like it. It was sweet like her.
"Thank you Bahm!" She squealed before pulling apart the macaron and eating the sweet half.
My body shuddered and melted at hearing her voice for the first time ever, saying my name.
ARGGHHH!
I felt a growl leave my chest. The pants I wore today was purposely tight, so I could keep my shaft down and out of trouble.
"Your welcome...My Queen," I almost groaned out looking at her take the straw out to lick the chunky bits of oreos off it.
"You okay?" She asks me.
"Mhmm.."
"I liked the way my name came out of your sweet lips.." I whispered.
Teasing her and sending a wink her way.
"Come on, lets go."  I stood up and nodded my head to the door.
We can know each other more at home....
