Chapter 14

Ellen's eyes didn't only widen because she was scared of O'Neal hearing what her agent had to say but also because of his guts. “How dare an animal-physique-like creature touch my phone” She scoffed with silent thoughts, batting her lashes repeatedly before screeching the car to a stop.

“Hi” she heard O'Neal say and her fists slowly folded on their own. A bigger part of her intended to snatch the phone from his hands but she managed to control herself and the disgust in her. To her, O'Neal seemed to be quite detective and suspects things easily so she knew she had to put on her very best behavior. “The owner of this phone is currently driving, please do call some other time” he said and she breathed heavily, watching him and the call and returning the phone to the spot he had taken it from. “Any problem?” O'Neal raised a brow as his gaze met with hers and she shook her head sideways, resuming her drive.

Getting to the main city, she suddenly parked the car and highlighted. “Are we at our destination?” O'Neal raised a brow and she muttered no reply, causing him to let out an inaudible grimace. Without warning, a man cladded in black sauntered into the car and settled behind the wheels while Ellen sat at the back seat. “What's going on?” O'Neal thought, feeling so confused and almost immediately, the man ignited the car engine and drove off without a word.

Ellen clicked on her message inbox, intending to read the message her agent had sent to her. ‘Sylvester Hospitals, Zone 12, Burberry crescent. Here is the address of the hospital we are headed to, it's a distant one and safe,’ the message read and she smiled shortly. She pressed a button on the bud on her ears and the man driving the car felt a beep on his ear bud. He's actually the agent who sent her the message.

HOURS LATER

Alessia's father's relatives left very early in the morning as expected, leaving Jenna alone with Bryan. “Such a good cook” Alessia smiled, taking a spoonful of the pasta and sauce Bryan had cooked. They were actually settled on the dining table. “What do you expect? I worked as a chef for six years at Mc Donald's restaurant” Bryan said and Alessia voiced out a ‘Wow’.“That was were you met her?” she asked and he nodded. “Yes, she came there often to eat and I served her numerous times,” he replied. It felt so strange and quite amusing that the ‘her’ they were referring to was really present and was the one talking to him, in Jenna's body. “Amazing!” She smiled as they continued eating.

“You need to go to your work as Jenna. You told me your boss gave you just a day off, remember?..“ Bryan asked and Alessia only stared at him blankly.
“I and Alessia planned on a week-long honeymoon so you don't have to go to her work with her face” he added and Alessia nodded slowly. “How… How do I go to work with my identity as Jenna?” she slowly asked, hoping he doesn't suspect anything.

“You remove the silicone mask of course” Bryan replied with a scoff and Alessia's eyes widened with a gasp. Realization hit her hard like a ton of bricks and gave a better understanding..
Jenna was using a silicone mask to impersonate her..! “What? You thought it can't be removed?” Bryan smirked, assuming she had gasped because she was surprised that the facial mask could be removed but by being realistic, that wasn't Alessia's reason for gasping.

“I.. Yes, I'm surprised” Alessia stuttered, taking advantage of his assumption and he scoffed. “So daft” he mumbled and she frowned, rolling her eyes continually. After the meal, Alessia left for the room, intending to have her bath while Bryan walked in to work on his laptop. “You should get this off my face, I need to bathe,” she said, walking to his side and pointing at the mask on her face. Bryan heaved a sigh and stopped his operation on the laptop, turning to her immediately. With that, he helped her take off the mask and Jenna's face came to view.

“Be careful with it, it costs millions” he said, referring to the mask Alessia was holding and admiring.

“Technology is crazy, my goodness!” Alessia screamed inwardly as she stared at the mask that was crafted to have her features. “It's box is in the third drawer” Bryan said and she let out air from her mouth, walking over to the chest of drawers to get the box. Gently, she placed the mask in it and returned the box back to the drawer before heading towards the bathroom.

“You aren't dressing like a tomboy this time? It's your true identity remember..” Bryan said, taking a quick glance at Alessia who was standing in front of the mirror. She was done taking her bath and got dressed in the dressing room. “I guess I like it this way” Alessia replied, trying to play along and evade being suspected. She stared at herself in the mirror feeling her heart skip multiple beats at once. She was cladded in a simple black gown.. She slowly raised her hand to Jenna's face and felt a wave of sadness overwhelm her.

“I'm now impersonated to deceive people and to make it seem I'm alive..” she thought sadly, gulping down her saliva. Jenna looked quite different from her real self except that her eyes and hair were the same as hers. “I'm leaving” she suddenly announced after a while of the long stare and battle with numerous thoughts. “Yeah” Bryan said simply and she suddenly remembered she had no cash but was familiar with the address of Jenna's workplace since the time keeper told her already.

“Can I get some money?” she said and Bryan furrowed his brows. “The second drawer” he said and she scoffed silently, wondering why most things are kept in the drawer. She opened the drawer and took out a few notes before leaving with her simple handbag. Luckily, she got a scab quickly at the bus stop and unlike her spirit who could have rides without making a payment, she had to make a payment to the driver before highlighting.

“Hey babe, what's up with your hair?” A man cladded in a simple black uniform and asked as she proceeded to enter the restaurant. “Hi..” she found her lips muttering as she stared at the young man who was obviously the security guard at the restaurant. “What's up with the formality..” he said and suddenly noticed what she was cladded in. “You're wearing a gown? Seriously?” he laughed and she smirked, watching the man giggle childishly.

“I think I need a change, you know” Alessia finally spoke with a shrug, trying to pretend to be Jenna. he raised a brow. “It's surprising though” he said, taking a thorough look at her again.. “ I missed you, I was alone at the club house yesterday” he said, raising his hand to her exposed shoulders and Alessia shifted backwards a bit, shooting him an irritating look.

“And who do you think you are?”
