Chapter 92 Marco's Deal: Ensure Elena's Safety, And I'll Give You Anything You Want.
Marco Bianchi's POV:
"Oh no! Marco, what the hell are you doing? Put down that gun!" Francesco looked at me, alarmed and confused. Then his tone shifted to a warning filled with anger. "No matter what happened, you can't point a gun at Sara!"
"Yeah, I know." I watched Francesco slam his cane on the ground and sneered, "But what she did is just too much. I won't let her off easy!"
Sara was almost on her knees. I grabbed her hair with one hand, dragged her up, and kept the gun pressed against her forehead. "Now tell me, where's Elena?"
Francesco's face changed when he realized why I had barged into the conference room. He quickly waved his hand, shooing out the other irrelevant people, leaving just the four of us.
Sara's father shouted, "Damn it, Marco, what have you done to my daughter!"
His name was Ben. He was the family's external mediator, responsible for resolving issues when there were conflicts between the two families or when the Bianchi family had external business.
Such a position required extensive connections and good relationships because it ensured that he was seen as a constant opportunity for peace during conflicts between the two families, rather than as a target for retaliation.
Francesco initially didn't want me to refuse because of Ben's position and status in the family. Offending Ben might cause me to lose a lot.
Francesco tried to calm Ben down, saying, "Calm down, Ben. Let's all sit down and talk, okay?"
He then turned to ask me, "Is there some misunderstanding here? What happened?"
I said, "Elena was kidnapped, and Caesar said it was Sara's doing. I'm hoping it's just a misunderstanding, but it looks like Caesar might be right."
After I stated my reason for being there, I saw Sara's face go pale, but her expression turned angry. "Damn Caesar, he dared to betray me!"
"Enough! Do you still expect Caesar to keep everything from you?" Francesco felt a headache and covered his forehead. "Sara, what on earth were you thinking, acting so foolishly!"
"You can't blame my daughter. It's Marco who doesn't know what's important to him! He should be more rational!" Ben spoke with cold sarcasm, seemingly convinced that I was just momentarily angry and wouldn't dare to do anything.
"Put down your gun! Calm down! Do you want to lose your position as the heir?" Francesco looked at me again.
This threat was useful, but it was only useful if Elena was safe. The position of heir could give me everything, but if it stopped me from protecting Elena, then it was useless to me.
"I can't calm down, and I can't guarantee that I won't accidentally fire the gun unless she tells me where Elena is now." I tapped the gun against Sara's forehead, my expression cold, showing my attitude. "If it takes too long, I might get impatient and smash her skull with the gun."
Fear appeared on Sara's face, and the admiration in her eyes for me disappeared. I hoped she realized her mistake and understood how important Elena was to me.
Unfortunately, it seemed she didn't. Living under her father's indulgence had left her with a lingering arrogance, even in a situation where her life was at risk.
Sara shouted and cursed, "No, you can't do this to me! That bitch is just an American; you shouldn't care so much about her!"
"If I hear that word from your mouth again, I'll tear out your tongue." I impatiently tapped Sara's cheek with the gun.
I had said so much already, and I really hoped that Sara and Ben, those two idiots, would quickly grasp the situation and tell me where Elena was.
Fortunately, Ben realized I was serious. To protect his daughter, he revealed her entire plan. I nearly chuckled at their arrogance and also at my own foolishness. How could I forget that our secret relationship would make others misunderstand when they saw us being close!
These idiots thought Elena was just my mistress! That was why they arrogantly believed that I wouldn't do anything impulsive for a mistress!
"My God... Sara, you..." Francesco muttered a few words, looking surprised by their stupidity.
"I hope you remember that Marco is the heir of the Bianchi family!" Francesco raised his cane and tapped it on the table, a cold light flashing in his eyes. "This is an offense to the heir. You have no respect for the heir of the Bianchi family, and you overstepped your bounds. Can I assume, Ben, that you have intentions of controlling the heir of the Bianchi family?"
This was a serious accusation. If Ben nodded, it would mean he actually had ambitions to control the Bianchi family, showing extreme ambition.
Ben could pose as a supporter of me, using Sara to re-engage with me to seek more benefits and status in the family, but he must never attempt to control my will and force me to obey him.
The boss-underling relationship between us must never be reversed.
This was also why Francesco suddenly stood on my side and issued a warning.
Francesco said to Ben, "I will discuss with the other senior members of the family whether your position in the family should be changed. Keeping you as the family's mediator for too long seems to have made you forget the proper attitude you should have towards the heir."
"No! Francesco, this... this is just a misunderstanding!" Ben's mind cleared, his face turning pale. "Sara was just momentarily jealous... I'm very sorry; my excessive indulgence made her do such a foolish thing."
I sneered at Ben, "You'd better pray that today's high tide is delayed by a few hours, or Sara will end up in the same coffin as Elena."
I struck Sara's neck with the gun butt, and after she passed out, I opened the conference room door and handed her over to my men for custody.
Then, I rushed towards the door while repeatedly calling Caesar. My heart was pounding, and the fear of losing Elena doubled.
As I was about to reach the door, that lunatic Caesar finally answered my call, and I coldly questioned whether he was on the scene and proposed a deal.
"A deal, what a tempting word. What kind of deal do you want to make?" Caesar's side was very noisy.
I stated firmly, "Ensure Elena's safety, and I'll give you anything you want."
"Wow, does that include your position as heir and your life?" Caesar's words were full of mockery and a bit of probing.
My breath stopped for a moment, not because of Caesar's words, but because I heard a familiar voice on the other end of the phone after Caesar finished speaking—It was Elena!
I cursed, "Caesar, you bastard!"
"Don't agree to anything, Marco!" She shouted on the other end of the phone, sounding very energetic, which made me breathe a sigh of relief.
"Elena, where are you? Are you okay?" I asked urgently, and the phone returned to Caesar's voice.
"She's fine; she's so energetic that I can't help but want to kiss her a few more times." Caesar's tone was frivolous, "Do you want to hear the sound of us kissing?"
I gripped my phone so tightly that I almost crushed it. "Caesar, if you dare do anything to Elena, I will definitely kill you!"
Caesar said casually, "That sounds really exciting... Hey, Marco proposed the deal himself. I didn't force him; just met his request. You can't take out all your anger on me, Elena!"
Caesar's voice made me feel a bit subtly displeased, but what made me more alert was another voice coming from the other end of the phone.
"Let go, Elena. Caesar might be carrying a lot of germs, which could make you sick."
It was Leonardo. He was there too.
I still remembered the argument I had with Elena before, my jealousy clouding my judgment.
I didn't know how to react; my lover was in danger, but my brothers reached her side faster than I did.
When the vehicle carrying Elena returned, I strode up, ignoring my brothers, and hugged Elena tightly, as if I wanted to merge her body into mine with such force.
Elena Garcia's POV:
I got out of the car and saw Marco standing at the hotel entrance.
Joy made me quicken my pace, urging me to throw myself into Marco's arms, but Marco was even quicker. In the blink of an eye, he appeared in front of me and embraced me.
His hot breath became rapid, seemingly indicating his unease.
I had thought of many things to say when we met, but at this moment, I just wanted to kiss him hard, and I did so.
I wrapped my arms around Marco's neck and bit his lips, and he kissed me back forcefully.
Our lips and tongues intertwined, oblivious to anyone around us. Only when we were certain of each other's presence did I bite Marco's lower lip, ending the kiss that left us both breathless.
I saw Albert standing not far away, dragging a woman in his hand—it was Sara.
This reminded me of why I rushed back. I hurriedly ended the hug and asked Marco if he had done anything irreversible.
"The only irreversible thing I did was leave you alone in the room," Marco said and kissed the corner of my mouth.
These words were sweet, but it wasn't what I wanted to hear right now. I was worried about Marco.
I had to bite my lip and ask again, "You know I don't mean that. Your brothers said you and Sara would get re-engaged, which would help consolidate your power in the family."
I took a deep breath and looked at Marco seriously. "So, I think maybe you should handle what Sara did today carefully."
