Chapter 93 Marco and My Arguments: Struggling to Consider Each Other's Feelings.

Elena Garcia's POV:

My hands balled into fists, nails almost digging into my palms from the tension.

I wasn't feeling sorry for Sara. She wanted me dead, and she had to face the consequences.

Whatever punishment Marco had in mind for her was fair, but I couldn't shake off Leonardo's comments about Marco's behavior just now.

Marco required the family's support, especially with Caesar keeping a close eye on him. The danger was everywhere.

Logic made me bottle up my anger towards Sara, and my worry for Marco wrapped around it.

"Of course I will," Marco said, taking a deep breath. "Sara needs to realize the gravity of her mistake."

He tried to soothe me, his voice as gentle as he could manage. "Don't worry, Elena, I'll handle everything."

How could I not worry? Marco clearly missed the hint in my words.

As we were having our little chat, Leonardo and Caesar walked up to us.

Leonardo greeted Marco calmly, then turned to me. "Elena, you forgot your coat," he said and then handed his coat to me.

Earlier in the car, Leonardo had draped his coat over my bare legs. In the rush to get out, I left it behind.

"Thanks. But Elena has my coat now," Marco cut in, quickly taking off his own coat and draping it over my shoulders, pulling me close like he was staking his claim.

"Such a display of affection," Caesar said in a weird tone. Marco was wary of him, but Caesar didn't seem to care.

"Elena, don't forget my invitation; it's always open." Caesar winked at me suggestively, and Marco stepped in front of me, looking dangerous.

Leonardo, standing next to Marco, also seemed interested in Caesar's invitation.

I didn't explain clearly, but Caesar went straight to the point, "I told Elena I really want her to leave you and choose me."

Marco snapped, "Caesar, shut your mouth and get out of here!" His face turned beet red, and his eyes nearly shot flames. His fists were clenched tight, and his whole body trembled slightly.

"Why so angry? Are you not confident Elena will always choose you?" Caesar showed no fear, certain Marco had no reason to act against him now.

Marco gritted his teeth, glaring at him coldly.

After riling up Marco, Caesar looked at Sara, who was unconscious and in a bad state. "Who is this? Oh, poor Sara. I almost didn't recognize her. Where are you taking her?"

Caesar's face showed curiosity, with no sympathy for Sara, even though they had just conspired to kill Elena together.

I bet if Sara were awake and saw Caesar like this, she'd be furious and curse him. Her mistake was trusting Caesar, this madman, to be a bystander.

"Taking her to where she should atone," Marco answered coldly. He waved his hand, and Albert got ready to drag Sara into a car.

I grabbed Marco's arm, wanting to stop him, my expression showing a hint of urgency.

Leonardo spoke up then, looking at Marco with his usual calm but strongly reproachful tone. "Don't say such childish things, Marco. You need the support of Sara and her father. Handling it too extremely might put you in a dangerous position within the family, and then Caesar, this idiot, would end up the winner."

Leonardo glanced at me as he spoke, making me realize he might be saying this because of me, which made me feel grateful to him.

"Why are you reminding him, Leonardo? I was looking forward to personally executing him," Caesar complained discontentedly.

All of this only increased my anxiety and concern for Marco. I thought both Leonardo and Caesar were right; Marco couldn't kill Sara.

"I don't think your advice is given out of goodwill. Since when did I know my brothers to be such kind-hearted guys?" Marco said with a mocking expression.

He didn't believe Leonardo's words at all, which made me frown.

I grabbed his sleeve and said, "Marco, Leonardo is right."

When I spoke, Marco was stunned for a moment, then looked at me with a somewhat apprehensive expression. "Elena, I'm sorry I didn't realize you were missing in time. I just hope you won't say anything to make me angry. Sara hurt you, and she will pay the price."

"No, I'm not angry! Marco, listen, I'm serious; you have to let Sara go." I retorted.

Marco's attitude was making me anxious; he wasn't listening to anyone and still misunderstood what I was trying to say. To make him understand, I tried to explain more, hoping he'd see I wasn't just angry or being sarcastic. "I don't care what she did to me, even... even that she's your fiancée, your relationship..."

My words got a bit tangled as I tried to show Marco that I cared more about him than whether we could go public with our relationship.

But Marco's face turned dark, and he looked at me, taking a deep breath. "My relationship with her? What did they tell you?"

Marco glared at Leonardo and Caesar, but they didn't flinch.

Leonardo even suggested they go greet Francesco, dragging Caesar along when he heard our heated words.

Marco wanted to stop them, but I held him back. What happened next was between us.

I took a deep breath and said what I knew, my voice low. "They told me you were going to get engaged to Sara again."

"And you don't care?" Marco looked at me angrily, gripping my arm, waiting for my answer.

I realized Marco had misunderstood me again. Who wouldn't care if their boyfriend was engaged to another woman?

If I didn't care, I wouldn't have been so upset and wanted to run away just seeing him not pushing Sara away!

I cried out, "Of course I care! Marco, why can't you let me finish?"

Marco shot back, "I don't think I need to listen. I don't know why you're stopping me; is it because of Leonardo's words?"

"Partly, but... Marco!" I looked at Marco, who seemed ready to storm into the hotel in anger.

I realized he might be going to find Leonardo, and I couldn't let that happen. I grabbed his hand, but this made him look even more irrational.

He took a deep breath. "Elena, you don't need to worry about those things. Just remember, Sara offended you, and I'll handle everything else, okay?"

"But how can I not consider these things?" I bit my lip, feeling a surge of anger rising in my heart.

I loved Marco, and this love made me suppress all my personal pain and make decisions that were beneficial to Marco.

But now Marco was telling me not to consider those things? How could he never understand what I've done for him?

I couldn't let him act recklessly.

"How can I not consider!" I looked into Marco's eyes, speaking painfully, "Marco, why can't you see how concerned I am about you? I don't want to lose you; that matters more than anything! You never even bothered to mention that you and Sara got engaged again! And you never let on about your family's whole 'Italian blood only' rule for your relationships! Do you really think these things don't have any impact on me?"

Tears fell from my eyes, and I wiped them away harshly as I continued, "Why did you deceive me?"

"That wasn't deception! Elena, I love you, I love you more than anything! The Bianchi family's conservative ideas mean nothing to me. I don't care!" Marco tried to kiss me, but I avoided it.

"I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, but I don't think it has anything to do with this! Elena, why do you consider so many unnecessary things?" Marco asked.

"Those aren't unnecessary. I hope you can be rational and consider yourself too!" I shouted.

"Even if it might continue to hurt you?" Marco looked at me incredulously, unable to agree with my words, but he was also blinded by anger, just like me.

We both had a storm raging in our hearts, I insisted on my thoughts, and Marco insisted on his.

Regarding Sara, we couldn't reach an agreement.

"Even if it might continue to hurt me." I looked into Marco's eyes, speaking seriously.

"Even if I get engaged to someone else?" Marco's tone carried a sarcasm he had never shown me before.

"Yes." My heart broke, but I still nodded.

"I understand." Marco looked at me painfully, his eyes filled with a cold storm.

Then he picked me up and walked into the hotel. I resisted loudly, hitting him, asking him to put me down, but Marco seemed unable to hear me.

He carried me to a new room, then threw me onto the bed and pinned me down. "Elena, don't force me to hurt you, okay?"

When Marco kissed me, his eyes were full of pain.
