Chapter 17
Sean was annoyed at Kamila, who kept moving away from him. The man pulled Kamila's waist until Kamila collided with Sean's chest. Sean tried to hug Kamila, but Kamila rebelled.
"Let go of me, Sean! Don't do this." Kamila tried to break free.
"Wake up! I am your sister-in-law. Your brother's wife!" Kamila shouted.
Sean finally backed away. Kamila's words disturbed his mind and heart. Kamila took a breath. She didn't know why Sean was acting like that.
"Gerald is great. He always gets what he wants." Sean said it softly. After that, he left.
Kamila heard him. She was confused as to why Sean was talking like that. "What do you mean?"
However, Sean did not answer. Making Kamila wonder. The girl left there. To the playroom with Alvero.
"Where are you from?" Alvero asked.
"I'm from the park. My business is done. Now I can play with you." Kamila stroked Alvero's hair.
"I met Uncle Sean earlier. Why did he look so angry? I was afraid to see him, and we were never close." Alvero said.
Kamila wondered if it was because of her. However, what made Sean angry? Kamila herself was also afraid. Not just of Sean, but of all the mafia members in this house.
"I don't know. Maybe Uncle Sean is having a problem." Kamila explained.
Someone called Kamila, one of the maids.
"Madam, Mr. Gerald is looking for you."
Kamila exhaled. What is it again?
Kamila told Alvero not to follow her. Continue playing, or go to bed. As soon as she entered the room, she met Gerald, who gave her a sharp look. Kamila started to get scared.
"What are you doing with Sean?"
Kamila glared. "How do you know?"
"You're asking? Have you been secretly seeing him all this time?" Gerald raised his voice.
"No. I've only met him a few times. It was an accident," Kamila replied.
"The maid told me. She saw you cuddling with Sean. You don't want me to touch you, but you want my younger brother! Bitch!" Gerald was really angry.
Kamila's heart hurt. The maid had told him false information. Kamila began to cry. "The truth is not like that. I can explain."
"I don't need your explanation! You know what? I hate betrayal. I can't guarantee that you'll be alive tomorrow." Gerald was full of emotion. He slowly got up from the bed and approached Kamila.
Kamila continued to cry. Her fear was growing. When Gerald was in front of her, Kamila immediately knelt down. "Please don't kill me. Listen to me first. I didn't hug Sean. The maid is wrong. I went to see him just to thank Sean for helping me when I was about to drown, but Sean tried to hug me instead. I rebelled and got angry. We didn't do anything. Please believe me."
"Sean helped you? Why didn't you talk to me? Did he give you artificial respiration?" asked Gerald.
"No, he didn't. I was still conscious at the time. He just took me to the examination room. There were many people there too. I apologize for not talking before. Don't kill me. I still want to live." Kamila looked down.
Gerald rubbed his face. He wanted to believe, even though it was hard. Gerald squatted down and held both of Kamila's shoulders. "Stand up!"
Kamila got up together with Gerald. Gerald immediately hugged Kamila tightly. He inhaled the scent of his wife's body, which Gerald loved. Kamila also returned Gerald's hug.
"You are mine. I hate it when mine is touched by others. Even if it's my younger brother," said Gerald.

Tonight, Kamila had something to say. Kamila and Gerald are now in bed. Gerald was busy looking at Kamila's face while playing with Kamila's hair. Making Kamila very nervous. She didn't know what to say.
"Can I say something?" Kamila looked at Gerald.
"Just talk."
"Can I see my aunt?" Kamila said it a little hesitantly.
Gerald straightened up. "I don't forbid it, but whenever you go anywhere, you must be accompanied by a driver."
Kamila felt happy. "Thank you for allowing it."
"When are you leaving?" Gerald asked.
"Tomorrow. What do you think?"
"No problem. Don't forget to let me know when you arrive."
Kamila nodded. Gerald suddenly remembered something. "Where's your cell phone? We're husband and wife, but we haven't saved each other's numbers."
Kamila handed over her cell phone. Gerald glared. "Is this what you call a cell phone?" Gerald looked at it.
"Yes. I had to save up several years to buy it."
Gerald was surprised and took his cell phone to call someone. "Now buy the best and most expensive cell phone. Bring it to my room now!"
After the call, Gerald immediately broke Kamila's cell phone in half. Kamila immediately screamed.
"Hey, why did you break it?"
"It's not worth it. I'll give you a good one. This thing is so cheap and useless." Gerald threw it on the floor.
Kamila looked sad. She had gotten a cell phone with her hard-earned money. Gerald had a lot of money, so it was easy for him.
Gerald's messenger had come. Giving the cell phone to Gerald. Gerald set it up first and then gave it to Kamila. Gerald's number was already in the contacts. For the first time, Kamila held the most expensive item in her life.

In the morning, Kamila was ready to leave. Already said goodbye to Gerald. However, Kamila's face looked upset because she thought she was only with the driver, but with two bodyguards.
"Sorry, ma'am. We were sent by Mr. Gerald to protect Madam." They bowed.
"Whatever!" Kamila was annoyed. However, there was nothing she could do about it. The two bodyguards were in different cars with Kamila. They went to the location.
Once there, Kamila did not immediately get out. She pulled out the cell phone that Gerald had just given her. Remembering the man's words, she had to call him when she arrived. Kamila chuckled when she saw the contact name made by Gerald himself, namely "Handsome Husband," with a love emoticon.
After sending a message, she left. Kamila knocked on the door. However, it was not Miranda who appeared, but the maid.
"Is Aunt Miranda here?" asked Kamila.
"Please come in, ma'am."
Kamila entered and sat on the long sofa. Not long after, Kamila saw Miranda approaching. Miranda folded her arms across her chest.
"What are you doing here?" Miranda noticed two bodyguards behind Kamila.
Kamila pulled Miranda's hand. She wanted to have a one-on-one talk. Fortunately, the two bodyguards did not follow. Miranda jerked Kamila's hand away.
"What about Mom? Have you paid the hospital fees?" Kamila met her aunt to make sure. She kept thinking about it.
"Did I promise to pay for it?" Kamila asked while playing with her nails.
Kamila gasped. "Don't play games, Aunty. I have obeyed your wishes. Please fulfill your promise."
Miranda laughed. "Okay. I remember. But I'm sorry, I used up all the money. You find your own money for your mom's surgery."
"Why would you do that?" Kamila couldn't think. She couldn't stop thinking. Kamila was devastated.
