Chapter 29
Gerald has the information that has uncovered everything. Now, he knew who was right and wrong. Miranda and Vira had gone too far, slandering Kamila and making her a victim of their selfishness.
"Damn it, how dare they lie to me all this time!" Gerald growled and gripped his cell phone tightly, he felt like teaching them a lesson.
"How did it go? Is the information we got enough?" asked Victor.
"It is, for now. If there's anything else you need to do, I'll let you know," Gerald replied, he was still thinking about the video of Miranda, Vira, and Kamila's life.
In Gerald's heart, there was a little touch because he had tortured Kamila a lot, even though Kamila was innocent, she was only a victim and Gerald suspected, Kamila did not tell the truth because she was under threat.
Gerald got up from the chair, Victor immediately restrained him. "Where are you going?"
Gerald glanced sharply at Victor. "None of your business!"
Victor stood up and approached Gerald. "Hey, where did you promise before? You said you wanted a drink first? You don't appreciate the hard work I put in to get that information."
Gerald exhaled, he turned his head to the left, reluctant to meet Victor's gaze. "It's not just you who is looking for that information. Understand? Why are you busy asking to be appreciated? The others have no problem."
"It's because they're afraid of you. Besides, you only called me. Come on, let's party," Victor said, raising his eyebrows.
Gerald rolled his eyes. "Okay. Call the others!" he ordered.
Victor cheered, he immediately called the others to gather at Gerald's bar.

Inside the spacious room, colorful twinkling lights illuminated the surroundings. The sound of disk jockey music was strong from the speakers. Victor and the other mafia were dancing in the center, some were drinking wine, while Gerald chose to sit alone while drinking wine that had already gone through five glasses, but did not make him drunk.
"Gerald, why did you just shut up? Come on, join us!" Victor invited, raising his voice so that Gerald could hear him.
Gerald chuckled. "Nope. I'm lazy!" he replied curtly.
Gerald drank another glass, as an outlet for his anger today. He occasionally hit the table when he saw Miranda and Vira's treatment of Kamila. Now, Gerald felt lucky that he didn't get married to Vira and Gerald was happy that his wife was Kamila, Gerald had really fallen in love with her.
Gerald staggered towards the door.
"Where are you going?" asked Victor.
"On business," Gerald replied while holding his head because he felt a bit dizzy after drinking twenty-five glasses of wine.
"What's the hurry, where are you going?" asked Victor.
"None of your business!" Gerald gave Victor a sharp look.
"Our party isn't over yet," said Victor.
Gerald waved his hand. "You guys have fun." Then, he walked out.
Gerald walked to his room to see Kamila because he missed his wife so much.
When Gerald opened the door, Kamila was staring out the window, watching the beautiful sunset outside. Kamila didn't realize that Gerald was coming because her back was turned, and at the same time Kamila had been daydreaming. Daydreaming about the future fate that does not know what it will be like.
Gerald stepped very slowly so that Kamila wouldn't hear. He immediately hugged his wife from behind, making Kamila surprised.
"Oh my God, Gerald." Kamila wanted to turn around but couldn't because she was hugged so tightly.
Gerald kissed Kamila's neck, inhaling the scent of his wife's body.
"Kamila, my wife." Gerald began to babble incoherently.
Kamila's nose hurt as she smelled the alcohol from Gerald's mouth. "Gerald is drunk? Geez, I'm scared that Gerald is messing up, he doesn't seem to realize what he's saying." Kamila said to herself.
Gerald turned Kamila's body around and quickly hugged her back. Not letting Kamila go. Gerald currently needs his wife to control herself from feeling emotions towards Miranda and Vira.
"Kamila, why have you been lying to me all this time?"
Gerald's question made Kamila anxious because Gerald brought up her lies again.
"I'm sorry, Gerald. I was too much," Kamila said.
Gerald chuckled, he released the hug then grasped both of Kamila's hands and kissed her.
Their eyes met, Kamila guessed that Gerald was not fully drunk. Gerald smiled broadly and led Saphira to sit on the bed.
"It's not you who should apologize, but your aunt and cousin!"
Gerald's words made Kamila confused. "What do you mean?" Kamila asked.
Gerald's eyes were sharp again, but he turned his gaze to the window. "I already know everything. You shouldn't feel guilty."
Kamila was still confused, she was silent, waiting for Gerald to finish talking.
Gerald looked at Saphira and then held both of his wife's shoulders. "You've never cheated on me, have you? The man my men beat up that time was your brother. That's right, isn't it? Why do you have to lie and pretend to cheat?" Gerald pressed Kamila with his question.
Kamila was gaping because Gerald already knew the truth, now she was anxious about Reynaldi's condition.
"I'm sorry, he is my brother named Reynaldi. I had to lie by pretending to have an affair so that you would get angry and divorce me," Kamila said. Her tears began to fall.
Gerald wiped his face. "So you want to divorce me?" asked Gerald with a sad face.
Kamila looked down while wiping away tears. There was silence for a moment and then she nodded.
"Now, do you still want to divorce me?" asked Gerald.
Kamila nodded again.
Gerald breathed very heavily, he also looked down. Both of them were silent for a while, only Kamila's sobs could be heard.
Gerald's heart ached to hear that Kamila wanted to separate from him. His heart also hurt to hear his wife's cries, Gerald hugged Kamila again.
"Don't leave me, Kamila. Even though you are not Vira, my future wife, I want you. Tell me that you want a divorce because of coercion from your aunt and cousin, right?" asked Gerald.
Kamila cried even more, Gerald's words were true. If she didn't get threats from Miranda and Vira involving her family, Kamila wouldn't want to divorce from Gerald either. Not because she loved him, but Kamila had given up with her destiny to become the wife of a mafia, except Gerald divorced her first.
Gerald broke the embrace, cupped Kamila's cheeks with both hands and wiped away the tears.
"I already know the truth, you were forced by your aunt and cousin to divorce me because Vira already knew I was aware. They are also materialistic, interested in my wealth only. Vira didn't love me sincerely. If she was sincere, she wouldn't have gotten pregnant with another man, but she aborted her own biological child."
Gerald's explanation surprised Kamila.
"Vira aborted her baby? How did you find out?" asked Kamila. She had no idea that Vira could be so cruel.
"You don't need to know, I know where," Gerald replied.
