Chapter18.
We all waited for Liam to say something, it was either he accepts the proposal or declines it.
"I am sorry Tatiana! But I cannot marry you?".
Liam declined.
I felt a sigh of relief when he said that but she, on the other hand, wasn't pleased, she angrily pushed Liam, he lurched back and furiously wanted to attack me.
"Hold on Tatiana".
Liam drags her back.
"What are you doing? please don't create a scene here,"
He whispers.
"Oh please Liam don't give me that, do you think I care huh! Because I don't and I do know why you refused to marry after dating for six years".
She vexed out her anger.
"Really, why your highness?" Liam inquired
"It's all because of her;"
She sewed everyone's eyes on me.
I could hear people say, I was Liam's mistress that's why he refused to ratify Tatiana's request.
"Don't be foolish and also Sara had nothing to do with my decision" he says explicable but she and everyone else thought otherwise.
I noticed tension gradually building and I was the center of it all, so I deemed it necessary to leave.
"And where do you think you're going?".
I veered the second I heard Tatiana's angry tone, Liam derailed his eyes away for a while and she took that medium to get close to me.
"Tatiana! I do not want any trouble?". I said
"Of cause not but you will if you don't quit your job, right here and right now!". She answered back.
Before I could gather my words, Liam dragged her back and slapped her without hesitation.
I trembled in fear, I had no idea Liam was going to result to that, mike then walked into the conversation and pulled her away from his brother, " what is wrong with you! How can you slap her, have you gone mad" he says rolling to me, "and as for you, I do not know what magic you did on my brother, but I am telling you now, undo it right now or else!".
Liam cuts him short by continuing his statement, " or else what? Huh! What will you do mike, do you also want to slap her or beat her up the same way you beat your girlfriend".
Mike returned his attention to him, and retaliated in a pissed-off manner, he angrily jabbed his brother to the floor. And if that wasn't enough, he tried to repeat the same action but this time, Liam counter-attacked by jabbing him on his paunch, he dropped to the ground, holding his cheeks.
The situation escalated to a point I yelled out.
"Enough, what is wrong with you both?".
"Stay out of this Sara, don't make me slap you" Mike compels to attempt to do it but Liam nudged his hands away and with a warning, "don't even dare? Or else you will regret it!". He says to his brother who angrily walked out of there clenching unto a Tatiana.
I watched and saw the tension between both brothers, all because of me, maybe Tatiana was right, It was best I quit my job, and look for another.
" Liam?"
He turns and hints at the look I had on.
"You are not quitting your job, okay, you do well-taking care of my son and he loves you, so please before you act on it, think how my son will feel?". Liam walks out on me before I even got a chance to speak.
