Chapter22.
Before I could say a word, Liam walks out of the press conference.
In a haste I walked into his room without knocking, he turns and puts the call from his ears.
"Seriously, ma.. marriage?".
I shouted
"I know you are shocked by the sudden decision to marry you but trust me, I did everything just to save you".
He replied.
What he said made no sense, how would getting married to me save my life, this ain't no zee world series we watch on television.
"I don't understand, explain.. please".
I gave him an audience.
Liam moves me to the couch and sits me down.
"I'll tell you, the truth and nothing but the truth" he reads the expression on my face, as he begins to talk.
(Inaudible conversation)
I listened to the truth.
The news circulated the whole city and the world, they said and I quote; Liam Khan ends up breaking up with his long-time girlfriend and tends to marry his son's nanny. While the rest said, diamond in the rough, a common nanny marries business tycoon Liam Khan".
Every newspaper had its version of the story, Mike was in no way pleased with his brother's sudden decision to marry the woman not planned for him.
"Liam khan"
Mike yelled standing at the entrance of his room door.
"Yes, can I help you,".
Liam replied.
"You are not the brother I knew before, what the hell has come over you? Why do you wish to marry a common nanny and destroy the life our late father and mother destined for you!".
Mike aired out his feelings, rather Liam's mind was made up, and his decision will and can in no way be changed no matter what.
He saw how strong-headed his brother had become, not pleased about it, he walks out of the room.
While ambling further, he passed the bar area and caught a glimpse of Tatiana, who drowned herself in alcohol. She staggered intoxicated and unknowingly bumped into him.
"What Mike, Don't give me that face, my life as you know it, is over, the man I have loved for more than two years now, is planning to get married to his maid, who he kept saying he had no atom of feelings for her, so tell me, why then Is he marrying her?". In a tipsy mood, she asked, plunging on him.
They both shared an eye lock, mostly staring at each other's eyes, but the whole romantic moment came to an end when the press took a picture of them from a distance, camping out without being noticed..
