Chapter 103: You Look Sexy

Chapter 103: You Look So Sexy

Ambrose

“Are you packed and ready to leave tomorrow?” She asked, taking care of the spoon with milk and cereal put into her mouth.

Luciano, me and a couple of our men are leaving for Oshodi the next day, beginning our two-day meeting with the Lotus Mafia.

“Yes, pretty much.” I replied, she gave me a simple nod.

Her brows furrowed nothing more than a few minutes as her gaze was concentrating on the bowl in front of her before sighing.

“I hate that I can't come with you guys. I feel like I am a grounded teenager or something.”

I heard from Luciano that they had a few arguments about whether he was going by himself or not, but I mean, it was just a meeting. It is not like he is going to get killed.

“Luciano would never agree to that, Abigail. And I thought you guys were done with that fight?”

“It wasn't a fight, just a disagreement.” She shrugged.

She had always seemed like a strong, self-reliant girl and with my brother being how he is, they are unable to get along from time to time.

“I see,” I muttered.

I could see her face that she wasn't fond of the whole thing, this was only a drop in the ocean of what is to come. She surely must have understood that dating a mafia Don comes with its difficulties and risks.

“I should get going, I have a lot to get done before we leave.” I said as I started walking towards the door and she nodded in response.

“Bye, Ambrose.”

“I will see you tomorrow and don't forget to give my brother those papers.”

“I will give them to him the second he gets home, I promise.” She said with a smile.

I smiled back and then walked out of the room, letting out a sigh. I was deep in my thoughts as I walked past the guards and towards my car. When I sat behind the wheel, I didn't start the car. It was true I had a lot of things to deal with today but I needed to get rid of some steam before I could concentrate on all the work. My phone was full of numbers belonging  to girls in every form and shape but I knew the one who was the easiest to get a hold of.

“Shit!” I muttered to myself and pressed the phone number highest up on my recent message.

As usual, she answered on the first ring, her annoying voice met my ear through the speaker and I was soon on my way to Agnes's apartment.

Abigail POV

I let my hands skim across the silk fabric covering my waist and stomach at the same time eyeing my reflection in front of me. I was actually looking for to going to Dennis's house tonight. He and Mia was throwing a gala to celebrate their fifth year wedding anniversary. They were both close friends and important people to Luciano's cartel and even if we hadn't wanted to, we would have had to attend out of respect.

Even if it was a joyous thing, this sort of gathering could be dangerous. There were going to be important people standing in every corner throughout the night, and it was always a tiny risk that something would happen. I tangled my foot so that my leg came fotwa through the slit in the material and my eyes dropped to the gun on my outer thigh. It had become a habit to wear the weapon along with the black strap around my leg every time we exited the mansion. I barely gave it a single thought anymore.

“Baby girl?”

I glanced at the open door to the closet I was currently standing in and adjusted the shoulder strap on my dress while I answered him.

“I am here.”

Luciano soon entered the room and I noticed that he hadn't even buttoned his shirt yet. His tattooed chest and muscular stomach was on full display, the lean and impressive lines enough to make my mouth water. It was too bad we were on the verge of being late.

“Wow, you look so sexy.” He said while looking over my figure.

I recognized the glint clouding his height, unfortunately, we didn't have time for that right now.

“Thank you, but why aren't you dressed yet? I don't want to be late, it is rude.” I turned to him with a serious frown and began to button his shirt, taking away the beautiful sight of his abs.

“I know, but I can't find my tie.” He sighed, glancing around the room in search of it.

I gestured towards the chair in the corner where his dark tie hung in its full pride. He grabbed it and while he continued buttoning the endless amount of buttons, I helped him tie it around his neck. Thanks to my assisting my father with the same thing when I was younger, my fingers did all the work for me out of muscle memory.

“All done,” I said when the tie lay flat and still on his chest, I flattered it with my hands and then softly caressed his stomach.

“Thank you,” he smiled and gave me a kiss.

We arrive at their mansion about half an hour later and walk side by side to the entrance. His hand snaked around my waist and pulled me an inch closer. Two of the four guards who followed us behind hurried to open the doors for us and I gave them a thankful smile when we passed. The event itself was on the third and highest floor, so when we entered the foyer, we were all alone. I was afraid we were late but the dashboard's clock had just six o'clock, meaning we managed to get here fourteen minutes early. He told the two guards to stay by the front doors, and the other two to stand by the two exits on the same floor. I assumed that every floor was occupied with at least ten guards, but a big mansion like this needed that.

Instead of taking the stairs, we made our way to the elevator right next to it. I had been here before and knew how slow it went, not that we were in a hurry, though. And even if we had arrived late, no one would even mention it. After all, Luciano had the highest rank out of all these people. Pointing out something like that would probably earn them nothing but a decapitation, I would guess.

We walked inside the rather space giving elevator and he reached to press the button for the third floor, then took a step back and planted himself next to me. He adjusted his suit and then lifted his wrist to his face where a watch was wrapped around him.

“You know, we still have…” he began, gathering my gaze.

“About ten minutes to spare.” He looked down at me where I stood beside him, the corner of his lips tilting up. I let out a breath of a chuckle.

“So?”

“So….” He said, dragging out the word as he pressed the red button that forced the whole elevator to come to a halt.

“Why don't we make ten minutes a little more fun?”
