Chapter 83: Her Attitude Is Getting On My Nerves
Abigail
I was leaning my back against the bedframe when Luciano pushed the door open. He walked in without giving me a glance, he had an irritated frown on his face as he made his way into the closet. I was talking with Jennifer on the phone at the moment, she was telling me about her latest hookup and some crazy party that I had missed. However, she lost my attention when Luciano came out from the closet again and immediately moved things away from the dresser in the search for something.
“hmm, I will call you back, sorry.” I said into the phone and placed it beside me on the bed before standing up.
Luciano was still walking around the room and I grabbed his arm to get his attention. He turned to me.
“What are you looking for?” I asked.
“My phone, I have to get to Ambrose for a meeting and I can't fucking find it.” He walked past me and rummaged through the pocket of his pants that hung over the backrest of a chair.
I decided to help him look for it and started with the other tables and then I went to bed. It laid underneath his pillow, he must have forgotten about it this morning. I walked to him and he looked down at my hand as I held it out. He took it with a relieved sigh and raised his gaze to me.
“Thank you,” he exhaled in relief and pulled me into a kiss. He pulled away and pecked both my cheeks and then he was out of the room.
He had been pretty stressed and out of line lately which resulted in him having a small period of time to relax. He had a lot of work both at his office in town and dealing with issues that came up in the cartel. I tried to make it easier for him by making dinner every night so he had something to eat when he gets back home which was often late at night. When the clock struck nine, he was still not home. While he had been gone, his mother had invited me out to dinner since he couldn't. She had said she wanted to spend time with me.
After leaving the restaurant, we went back to the mansion. We had talked about everything and anything, mostly about me and her son but also personal questions like my childhood, education, dreams and goals. She was a very considerate woman but with a firm hand, not to me, though. But towards her sons, for example. It wasn't often I saw Luciano following people's orders, it was close to never actually. The only exception was his mother or me.
She just left, leaving me alone with the guards and I decided to take a seat in the living room, occupying myself with some reality shows. It wasn't the best but it was as hell was some drama.

Luciano POV.
I didn't get back home until eleven o'clock in the night, I walked up the stairs to the front door and stepped inside. The sound of the television being on met my ears and I assumed she was the one watching it. While I walked to the kitchen, I took off my suit jacket and with a heavy exhale, I threw it on the backrest of some chairs and then poured myself a glass of whiskey. Soon I heard light steps behind me and then arms snaked around my torso. I felt her place a soft kiss on my shoulder and I put my hand over hers.
“Had a rough day?” She asked in a soft tone. I grunted in answer and took another sip of the drink.
“Tell me,” she insisted and put some pressure on my side, wanting me to turn to her.
When I did, I pulled her closer by her waist and looked down at her short frame. I put a strand of her dark, long hair behind her ear before answering.
“We lost a lot of money because of my idiot fucking brother, ten million.” I muttered.
What? Ten million? How is that possible?” She frowned, I took a sip of the drink and straightened up.
“Because he doesn't know how to make a deal right.” I replied and stepped away from her hold.
“I am sorry,” she said behind me.
“Nothing can be done about it now.” I sighed and grabbed my jacket.
“Not him at least, I will have to deal with it soon.” I walked out of the rooms and towards the stairs, hearing her light steps follow me to our room.
When I walked in, it was pitch black and I flicked on the switch which made the yellow lamps offer at least enough light for us to see where we were going. I sighed and began unbuttoning my shirt while she took a seat on the bed. I knew she probably sensed that I was in a bad mood but that shit with the deal had pissed me off. It was an important deal that we needed. When I looked at her from where I stood in the middle of the room, she was fiddling with the hem of her oversized t-shirt. My eyes fell to her bare legs, which were extremely visible from the lack of material.
“Have you worn that all day?” I frowned, she darted her eyes up to mine.
“Pretty much.” She replied.
“You know, I can see your whole ass in that, right?” I threw the shirt on the floor and stepped closer to where she sat.
“So?”
“That means the guards have seen your ass all day. You don't see the issue in that?” I said firmly and stopped between her legs, looking down at her with an irritated frown. She rolled her eyes and scoffed.
“That is not my problem, I can wear whatever I want.” She said with an attitude.
“Not if that means you are going to run around naked.” I gave her a firm look but she only rolled her eyes.
“I wasn't naked,” she said and stood up to walk past me.
“And why the hell are you mad at me anyway?” I turned to her and frowned at her stupid question. Wasn't it fucking obvious?
“Because I don't want to give them something to jerk off to, Abigail. You should understand by now that I don't allow other men to see you naked.” I said, my voice still annoyed, almost coming out as harsh.
“I don't give fuck about what they do on their free time.”
In one quick motion, I grabbed her arms and pushed her up against the wall, my body keeping her from wriggling out of my hold. I gripped her jaw tightly, forcing her to meet my eyes.
“Don't raise your fucking voice at me,” I gritted, she looked up at me with parted lips.
“And what the fuck are you going to do about it?” She snapped.
Her attitude was beginning to get on my nerves but I had to control myself to not lose my temper. I clenched my jaw and pushed away from her.
