Chapter 50: Did I Say You Should Leave?

Chapter 50: Did I Say You Should Leave?

Abigail

If I wanted to go to the party, I had to lie about where I was going. And I didn't want to lie to him but I mean it was just a party, they were usually not that dangerous.

“I don't know, Jeni…”

“Oh come on, you haven't been to a party for like a year.” She whined.

“I know but I don't think I can go.” I explained.”

“Are your boyfriend not letting you or what?”

“No, of course not.” I muttered.

“Then come, it will be worth it. I promise.”

I guess I could tell Luciano that I would hang out with her, he wouldn't say no to that. So I made my decision.

“Pick me up at seven.”

“So, it will just be you and Genny?” He questioned as we walked down to the front door.

“Her name is Jennifer and yes, just us.”

Jennifer was waiting outside in her car, I had been at my house all day and Luciano had come here two hours ago. None of my friends knew that he is a mafia boss and I planned on keeping it that way. I adjusted the skirt I was wearing as we walked out, Jennifer was waiting outside in her car and her jaw literally dropped when she caught the sight of him. I had forgotten they had never met, this would be interesting. I knew that she would comment something inappropriate as usual and when we walked closer to her, I mouthed stop and she only smiled.

“Wow, that is….a nice piece of meat you have fished up.” She said, her eyes taking in his body.

“So, do you have a brother?” She asked and my mouth gasped. He chuckled and opened his mouth to respond.

“Yes but I doubt that he has the ability to satisfy anyone.”

“Oh, that is alright. I am easy to impress and if he is half as good as you are in bed, according to this one.” She elbowed me.

“I would be very happy.” He raised his eyebrows, a smirk coating his lips as he moved his eyes to me.

“Oh really, she said that?” I felt my cheeks get warm and mentally swore at my ability to gossip.

“You have no idea, she told me that…”

“Alright, that is enough, Jennifer. Let us go.”

I pushed her into the driver's seat and closed the door, she pouted at me through the window. I rolled my eyes but couldn't hold back a small smile when I turned to him, he had a smug expression on his face.

“Heard what she said? You think I am amazing in bed?” he walked closer.

“That is not what she said.” I mumbled.

“Do I have to…”

“No, don't do anything.” I said, putting my hands on his chest to stop him from pressing me up against the car and he chuckled.

“Don't worry, I will have my way with you tonight. Be careful.” He leaned down and gave me a kiss. The way his lips tasted and felt gave me butterflies.

“I will, bye.” I stood on my toes to peck his lips and then walked around that car and entered inside. He stood there, watching us drive off.

Mark lived right by the beach, resulting in his parties often turned into beach parties just like the one we are having now. It was currently ten o'clock in the night and I was sitting by the bonfire, chatting with some friends. I had missed this, being a careless teenager.

“I am going to get another drink.” I said, standing up and making my way to the table where the drinks were. But the kind I wanted was there, it was all gone.

“Seriously?” I murmured.

I looked up at his house, he had to have some in the kitchen or something. I walked up the stone path to the back of Mark's house and walked in through the open back door. It was dark but enough light from the sunset to see where I was going. I had been to his house several times before and easily found my way to the kitchen. I stopped in my tracks when I saw a guy standing by the counter, drinking a beer. I recognized him, we had gone to the same school and I remember I had a crush on him for like two years. Many had thought he was the captain of the football team, a typical jock.

His gaze raised when he heard me walk closer, I had never spoken to him actually and when he smiled I was surprised but returned it.

“Are you avoiding the party?” I asked him as I poured myself a drink. I turned to him when I was done, standing in front of him.

“No, I just needed another beer.” He chuckled.

“Yes, me too.” I muttered.

“You are Abigail, right?” He asked.

“Umm, yes.”

“I remember you from high school, I had a major crush on you back then.” He said, putting down the beer on the counter behind him and folded his arms.

“Oh really? I had no idea.” I said softly, taken aback by his sudden confession.

“Most guys did, though. I mean, look at you.” I chuckled.

“I will take that as a compliment.” He smiled and stepped closer.

“So, are you here with anyone?”

I got nervous when she stopped right in front of me, it suddenly occurred to me that I was alone with a guy I didn't know. I tensed a little, having him so close made me uncomfortable but I didn't show it.

“Yes, my friend.” He smiled.

“No boyfriend?” He asked.

“I have but he is not here.” The words slipped out of my mouth before I could contain them. I should have said that he is here with me.

“Doesn't sound like he cares enough to be here with you.” He stated.

“He just doesn't like these sorts of parties.”

I avoided looking into his eyes, they had the same glint that Micheal had before he jumped me. The feeling of his hand on my waist made me stiff and I tried to walk by him to get out of here before something happened but he put his hands on the surface behind me, caging me in. I swallowed the lump in my throat.

“Where are you going?” He grinned.

“You are making me uncomfortable, let me go.” I said, my voice steady.

“Not until I am done with you.” He leaned forward and my eyes widened.

“Back the fuck off!” I heard a familiar voice growl.

We both turned our heads to the direction of the sound and we met with Luciano. What the hell was he doing here? He stood up straight, his arms letting me go and I slowly moved to the side to get away from him but he grabbed my arm.

“Did I say you should leave?” He barked, I had no idea he was such a jerk.

“I don't have to listen to you.” I ripped my arm off his hold and backed towards safety.

Luciano walked past me to the guy, towering over him a ridiculous amount. He stared at him for a moment before mumbling some threat words.
