Chapter 46

Claudia's POV
I looked at my schedule taking everything in. First, I have English literature. I mentally groaned. Come on, who is interested in literature? If they give us Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet', all you need to know is 'and Juliet is the sun', that's awesome.
Okay, going on to the next period, Physics. Great, a full hour discussing something that I don't care about. My eyes went down to the third period to find Biology. Is Tuesday my unlucky day or what? I have the three subjects that I hate in a row. Wonderful right.
My eyes wandered to the next session and a smile grew on my lips. The fourth period is a break. My smile turned into a frown when I realized that I have no one to sit next to. I shrugged and read what was next. I was used to sitting alone in my old school; it was something normal
Music was next. I liked that. I used to play the piano but I quit. I wondered where the music class was and what it looked like. I never really took music classes at school, only arts and sports. The thing is, I'm a talented person. No one knows that I play the piano, dance and sing. I usually keep those things to myself, no one cares about the talents that I have.
After music, I have Chemistry. Another subject that I suck at. My eyes drifted to the last period. Oh my gosh. Why? Why did anyone have to invent something so antagonizing called math? Yupp, I hate math. It's one of my sworn enemies other than chili and sushi. Yeah, I hate sushi. I don't know why but I just do.
I frowned when I saw that this was my schedule for today. Isn't today's schedule a bit short or what? I shrugged folding the paper then putting it in my pocket. Oh, what the hell, I won't say anything. I mean, who wants more hours? I picked up my backpack that was on the floor and left my room.
I read some of the school rules. They said not to wear anything too exposing or that flashy. I was wearing black skinny jeans with a black hoody. I wore black boots that had some fur on the top and had my hair loose. Laughter was coming from the living room. It must be the guys
I stepped into the living room and saw Benson and Westley laughing about something. Kenneth was shaking his head with a smile on his face and Maxwell was chuckling. My eyes went to Benson once again but went wide when I noticed what Kenneth was doing. Wait, he was smiling
I looked at Kenneth once again but he was glaring at me. All of them were staring at me. Benson and Kenneth were frowning same as Westley. Why are they looking at me like that? Is something wrong? Both Benson and Kenneth were looking at my clothes dissatisfied
"Morning." I said while looking at them. They all murmured 'morning' back but the duo were still looking at my clothes disapprovingly. I crossed my arms and tapped my foot. This is getting annoying. Why are they looking at my clothes? Is there something wrong with the
"What?" I snapped making them look at me with upset eyes. Did I do something wrong?
"Let me get this straight." Kenneth started. He was wearing black pants with a white shirt and a leather jacket. His hair was messy making him look good, I can't believe I just said that
"We bought you fashionable clothes for you to wear this?" He pointed to my hoody. I looked at it frowning then met Kenneth gaze.
"Uh, yeah." I was looking at Benson as I said that. Kenneth was about to say something but was cut off by Benson
"Come to think of it, she looks good." He mused while nodding. Kenneth looked at him disbelievingly but Benson shrugged. "What?" Wow, I never thought that was coming. Benson crying out like a girl. His voice sounded a bit squeaky. Kenneth rolled his eyes and sat down on the sofa.
Looking at the clock, I noticed it was eight.
"When will we have to be in our classes?" I asked Westley who was looking at me with awe.
"We have to be there after thirty minutes." He replied and I nodded.
Westley wrapped an arm around my shoulder and started walking to the door. I heard footsteps following so I didn't need to turn around to see that it was the guys. We crossed hallways and as before, school blondes. Each girl was wearing a tighter skirt than the other.
I came closer to Westley, making him wrap an arm around my waist. I enjoyed the glares that the blondes were giving me. One was glaring, one was giving me a look of envy, and the other was clutching her bag really tight from jealousy. It was fun.
"What's your locker number?" I looked at Westley and noticed that his lips were close. I looked away feeling a blush creep to my cheeks and answered.
"102 section R." I heard him hum and that was it. No one talked for a few minutes until Benson decided to break the ice.
"Show me your schedule Clau." I took my schedule from my pocket and unfolded it as I gave it to Benson.
"Here" Benson and Kenneth scanned my schedule then smile.
"You have first period with me. You have second period with Kenneth, third with Westley and sixth with Maxwell. Lunch is the fourth but sadly, you don't have the fifth with any of us." He gave me my schedule with a smile.
I was still shocked and dreading the last period, mainly because I hate math and I have it with Maxwell. The next twenty minutes was filled with embarrassing stories told by Benson and Kenneth. The two always seemed to make jokes out of everything.
"Come on Clau!" Benson took my head and started running. Westley was screaming from behind but Benson laughed it off. It was difficult to catch up to him. He was really fast, extraordinary fast.
Benson stopped in front of an open door. Everything seemed to stop. The students didn't walk, allowing Benson and I to go into class. I looked at Benson with an expression that said 'what was that all about?' However, he shrugged and walked into class as if nothing happened.
I was about to go to the back and sit there but Benson's firm grip on my hand prevented me from doing so. Next thing I knew, he was pulling me to sit next to him. I scowled when I saw that we were in the front row. Looking at Benson with a glare on my face, I sighed and crossed my arms leaning back. Soon, students startedfilling the seats and the teacher came in.
"Hello class." She greeted and I heard a series of
"hello's" back. Mrs. Whitney was about to start a lesson but stopped when she laid eyes on me. Please don't make me introduce myself, please don't make me introduce myself. Mrs. Whitney smiled warmly and said,
"Oh, you must be the new student, Claudia White." I nodded and smiled back. She turned to the class with an "Claudia is the principal's niece and she's new to this school so make her feel welcome." She finished and smiled at me once again before starting with the lesson. I think I actually like this teacher. She seems bubbly and friendly. I was about to zone out since it's English literature, but what Mrs. Whitney said caught my attention.
