Chapter 87
Claudia's POV
Fiona, my daughter. She is my blessing. She looked so much like me, especially inheriting my violet eyes. I looked at Fiona and smiled. That's my girl! I knew that Fiona had a crush on Joel, mainly because of her constant arguments with him… and the way she looked at him. Lilian and I always talked about them and how much of a cute couple they'd make. Oh, and Lilian actually made it her goal to pair those two together.
"Me, jealous of Jack? Pff, as if!" Joel rolled his eyes. I inwardly chuckled as a flash of mischievousness crossed Fiona's eyes. Oh, Joel's in for a big one.
"Fiona, what do you think of taking the kids to the garden?" I decided to interfere before Fiona said her comeback.
"Okay." She sighed, disappointed that she didn't fire back at Joel
"I'll come with you!" Joel popped in. I looked at Lilian who was looking back at me with the same expression, knowing.
"I bet you one hundred dollars that those two will end up together." Yul chirped, grinning at Kenneth who just shook his head.
"Trust me, with a father like Maxwell, I doubt she'll ever get married." He muttered. I looked at Maxwell and covered my lips, trying to keep in my laughter. He had a hand under his chin and was glaring hard at Kenneth.
I wouldn't blame Kenneth for what he said because it was the truth. Kenneth had strict rules; no dating till eighteen. Even though Fiona was still ten, Maxwell warned her that if she dated any guy, he would lock him up in a dungeon.
"Excuse me?" Maxwell raised an eyebrow at Yul. I looked at Clara who had her narrowed eyes set on Maxwell, I hoped Maxwell didn't go too far with Yul; I didn't want to hear Clara's whining when we were alone. Speaking of Clara, for some reason, she became mature … mentally. At first, when Yul and her got married, I never would've expected her change so … drastically
"Don't give me that look my king, you know that's the truth." He teased making us all chuckle. Yul had't changed one bit, he was still the same Yul, outgoing as always but serious when he needed to be. Same went for Kenneth and Westley. I wouldn't say that the same thing applied for Benson because he had changed. Sure, he was still the old Benson but he had now become a true alpha to his people. The fair and honorable man they had expected him to be.
"It's not my fault that I don't want my daughter being heartbroken because of boys." He gave Yul a pointed look which made Yul nod in agreement.
"I know the feeling, last week Nate was holding hands with the neighbor's kid. I spent the entire evening glaring at the kid and trying to take him away from Nate but he wouldn't budge." He rubbed his forehead making Maxwell laugh.
All of us continued on talking, Maxwell and the guys talking about their kingdoms and what they have on their hands while me and the girls talked about the kids. It was after an hour that Westley, his wife, Clara and Yul left the castle with their kids saying that they had a council meeting and everyone, including Clara and Yul had to attend it. I guess it was serious or related to a huge crime or such
As for Benson and Kenneth, they remained here, not that I complained; I missed their company. Chloe and Lilian, their wives decided to take a walk in the garden. They offered me to join them but I declined. I was feeling nauseous and my head was starting to ache so the best solution was to go to my chamber, so I politely excused myself and went up.
"Are you okay love?" I turned around and gave Maxwell a short nod telling him that I was fine when few minutes ago, I was puking my guts out. Maxwell didn't seem convinced by my answer but he let it drop. Wrapping his arms around my waist, Maxwell rested his chin on my shoulder as we both stared outside the window.
I bit my lip, debating on whether I should tell Maxwell about my well-kept secret or not.
"Maxwell, what do you think of having another baby?" I felt Maxwell go still for a moment. I fiddled with my fingers wondering how he was going to react. I knew Maxwell loved kids and would be ecstatic if he knew that I was pregnant, but I couldn't help but feel nervous.
"Cluadia, are you…?" He didn't need to complete the sentence
"Maybe." I turned around taking in his expression. He was shocked but I could see that he was happy
"Actually, it's a definite yes." I giggled as his face broke out into a grin but I squealed when he took me in his arms bridal style and showered me with kisses. He took it better that I thought he would. At least it was better than the first time, he started making buffets as an honor for me being pregnant.
"I love you- " He kissed my forehead,
"I love you," My eyelids
"I love you." My nose
"I love you." And he finally reached my lips as I eagerly granted him access making his tongue invade me as his hands went under my dress to caress my inner thigh.
"Maxwell, not now." I moaned. It took me all my might not to pull away and jump on him right then and there and tell him to take me. But that wouldn't be appropriate since we had guests downstairs, would it? Maxwell groaned remembering the kings and fixed his hair.
"Right, but I will get some later." I stopped fixing my dress and laughed. It amazed me how men always thought of sex, especially Maxwell. From the moment we got married… even before. Just as Maxwell was about to kiss me again, Fiona barged in the room.
"Momma, Joel kissed me!- oh" She stopped in her tracks as she saw her father. I looked wide- eyed at Maxwell who had his fists clenched and his eyes turn red. Uh-oh.
"I will kill that little brat." He growled storming out of the room.
"Dad!" Fiona tried stopping him but it was pointless, Maxwell walked out of the room, rage clouding his vision as he thought of someone kissing his little girl.
"Fiona." I patted the empty space on the bed.
"Tell me everything"
Fiona grinned as she quickly dashed through the room to sit next to me.
"Okay, well we first went out to the –" And so she began telling the story and I listened to every single detail, though I was still worried about Joel. Hopefully, Maxwell wouldn't really put him in the dungeons.
