Chapter 15 - Jacen

I saw her start to faint, I quickly grabbed her so she would not hit the ground. It was then that I noticed how bad the dragon had damaged her leg. Witches were not known for their quick healing. And this would need a lot of work and would always look bad from the 3rd degree burns. Without hesitating I bit my free wrist and let my blood drip into her mouth. It was a known fact that drinking our blood could cure even the deadliest of wounds. Within seconds her once chard leg was fully healed, no scars it looked like it had never even happened.
I look down at her, she still wasn’t awake. She must have fainted from more than just the blood lost, probably the shock. A lot happened to her today. 4 witches came over with a gurney I slowly laid her on it. “We will take her to a safe place to heal and recover.” And just like that they teleported with her out of there.
I looked over to Judd, “granddaughter? I thought Ava’s baby died.” I asked him. He still looked slightly shocked, he nodded. “As did I. but she looks just like Ava and the Dragon Queen wouldn’t have lied.” He said looking at where Chloe was before teleporting away. It seemed everyone was avoiding asking the important question here. “Why did she even show up? What was she after?” I asked.
“Well if I had to guess, Chloe. But what I don’t understand is how could Chloe been under the radar til now.” Confusion crossed Judd’s face. “Well actually legends are wrong.” Celeste appeared from nowhere. “Ava would have used every last ounce of her powers to conceal her powers, chances are she was dead before the Queen even made it to her.” She said. “Who Is her father? Ava would never tell me.” Judd was looking at her with hope. “Archangel Michael.” She said and everyone gasped.
That explained why her blood smelt so good, it was pure blood. Angels had the purest blood. It was unheard of for there to be a witch-Nephilim hybrid. Archangel being the rarest. Some lower level angels were known over time to mate with humans but its been a long time. It is also again Angel laws for them to mate like that. When they find out they will surely come after Chloe. So now she must harness her powers, fight the Dragon queen, and protect herself from some Angels. I ran my fingers threw my hair and sighed. It was going to be a rough year.
I was lost in my own thoughts; I almost didn’t notice Liam talking to me. “did you even hear what I said?” there was seriousness in his voice. “uh, yeah I did” I said looking at him. “no, you didn’t. I just told you werewolves made it into the castle.” We started running to the exit. We had to get back ASAP.
