Chapter 30 - Jacen

I was kissing on her neck when she cried out for Alexander. I didn’t see him, but I knew how warriors worked. He mind-linked with her to find her location. Which would mean he would probably show up any moment. I groaned with frustration.
I just want Chloe to myself without these other losers.
I looked to the girl next to me.
Clearly intoxicated, she smelt delicious. I stepped in front of her and smiled.
She looked up at me and smiled back. She had long black hair, dark brown eyes. glitter and sweat clung to her face. By her smell, she was very much human, and I wanted to devour her.
I looked her in the eye. “You won’t move or scream.”
Just like that I had her compelled, her eyes gauzed over, and she just looked forward into the abyss.
I put my hand on the base of her neck to tilt her head to the side and bit deeply into her neck.
I felt her delicious blood in my mouth which only made me hungrier.
I could feel her heartbeat slowdown in my hand.
Shit.
I stopped drinking; I don’t really feel up to hiding her body tonight.
So, I let her go and let her drop to the ground.
I licked my lips to clean off the blood.
I looked up and saw Chloe looking at me. If she was terrified, I couldn’t tell her face was blanked over.
I stepped to her, “You okay Chloe?” I asked. Not that I really cared but she didn’t look like herself.
Her face looked very red, I put my hand to her forehead, and she was burning up.
Me touching her snapped out of whatever trans she was in.
“Chloe?” I asked again.
“Can you hear them?” she asked. Looking up to the roof.
Uh. What? I looked around I could hear people chattering and the music. We were in a club the place was full of noises.
She looked back at me, suddenly she hunched over and started screaming. She put her hand on her stomach. She looked up at me, her eyes glowing a bright golden color. The Nephilim in her must have been activating.
She quickly fell to her knees, at this point the music had stopped and everyone was staring at her horror. Even I didn’t understand what was happening.
The ground started rumbling and it sounded like the earth was cracking open.
I grabbed Chloe and rushed out of the door.
Golden streams of light descended from the sky.
Oh no, this can’t be good.
I watched as 3 Heavenly beings dropped down.
They all had massive wings and bright golden eyes.
Angels.
Been a long time since one has walked the earth.
Chloe was retching, I helped her onto her feet so she wouldn’t throw up on me.
I feel positive I will have to fight these self-righteous assholes.
“What do you want.” I yelled to them. But it was clear who they came for, Chloe. They didn’t take their eyes off of her.
They looked at her like she was a unicorn. A beast they had never seen before.
“Chloe Wardwell, Daughter of Ava Wardwell and Archangel Michael, we here by sentence you to death.”
“For what?” I snapped. I’m very sure this girl has never done a single thing wrong that warrant her a death sentence.
One of them looked at me, “For being born of course. You know a half Nephilim with demon blood are not allowed. They are a disgrace to us. Her blood is not pure.” They started stepping closer to her.
I ran up and kicked the first one as hard as I could. He stumbled backwards but it didn’t do a lot of good.
“Demon” he spit out coming at me with a golden sword. I zoomed away from him to get Chloe, I couldn’t fight all 3 of them, while fighting all one had to do was leave with her.
As soon as I picked her up a gold ring formed around us, I tried to run threw it, but it shocked me and threw us backwards.
A boundary we can’t get past it.
I looked at the men, but even they were standing there in shock and fear.
Whoever did this wasn’t them.
I looked down at Chloe in my arms, I think the pain was too much for her because she was passed out.

CRACK
I saw a lightning bolt strike one of the angels.
“How dare you come near her” a mans voice said, it sounded like thunder rumbling through the sky.
CRACK
Another lightning bolt came down.
“You know what has to be done Michael. Kill me and you will never enter Heaven again” The last angel said.
“Then so be it.” he growled then threw a lightening bolt to the last angel.
I looked at the 3 piles of ashes that remained on the pavement of the club.
Michael was now standing before us.
He stepped into the golden ring.
Tears filled into his eyes.
“My daughter” he choked out.
I stepped back a step, I don’t care who he is, he will not take her from me.
He looked from Chloe to me, shock in his eyes.
“You did a great job son, now hand her over to me. As you can see her Nephilim blood is fighting her demon blood. Therefore, me and Ava concealed her powers years ago I must do it again to save her.”
“no.” I said to him.
“Don’t be stupid Jacen, with her Nephilim side activated it will kill her and Heaven will never let her live.”
How did he know my name?
“how do you know who I am?” I asked.
He smiled. “I know all of Chloe’s friends, I may not have been here, but I sure have been watching from Heaven. I appreciate you taking the dust poisoning from her but then letting her digest Demon blood was just counterproductive. What was even the point?” he reached his arms out to Chloe.
Demon blood? The silver powders. Ahh, he means the vial I didn’t know that was demon blood. Actually, I have no idea what it was.
I shrugged, “I don’t care.”
He chuckled, “Yeah you say that, but even without your humanity you cling to her. Shes your beacon of life.”
“Give me Chloe, and I will heal you of your ailments.” He said reaching out again to Chloe.
Could I trust him? I looked at him, he was clearly an angel. He had golden curly hair with bright golden eyes. His wings are massive and white. He had a metal looking skirt on and was bare chested.
“Where will you take her?” I asked.
“Home.” He said, his eyes pleading me to hand her over.
The sky started rumbling again and I saw the golden streams. It could only mean one thing. More angles are coming down.
“We are out of time Jacen” Michael yelled. He wrapped his arms around me and Chloe.
I saw the world around us fade as he teleported us out of there.
