Shubh's POV



" Oh my God !! Why didn't you tell her or me?? " Vikram Ji closed his eyes and pressed his hand on his forehead and eyes.

" I was telling her to stay away from him for the last 2 days. But she was not paying any heed. I came to tell you about this only, I didn't tell you yesterday as it was your wedding day and I thought I could handle this. "

" Thanks a lot, Shubh !! You handled it very well, you saved her. I will kill that man with my own hands. Dad was not aware of it. He was planning to think about this marriage alliance. I agree that Mr Raichand is good but that doesn't mean that his son is also good... "

" Yes, I recognised him the moment I saw him talking to Vidhi. I tried to tell her but you know, how these girls are. They always accuse me of being overprotective. "

" We need to be overprotective towards the people we care for. There is nothing wrong with it. I can't thank you enough... And I am sorry on for Vidhi's behaviour. She is so stupid sometimes. " he said.

" Please don't say that... "

" No... I am really ashamed. Please accept my apology on her behalf. "

" If you say sorry to me one more time, I will take Sandhya back to my place for at least one month. " I said in a threatening tone.

" WHAT ??? No... " He was shocked as hell.

" Yes... " I smiled at him.

" You can't do that... "

" I can, she may be your wife now, but she still is my sister. "

" Are you serious?? Please don't..."

" No... I won't, was Just kidding."

" Oh my God !! I never knew you can crack jokes too," he said and I laughed.

" Hey, Shubh !! Do you carry a sword in your car?? " He asked. I just shook my head.

" What?? You came to meet me with a sword?? Why?? What have I done to you?? I am your sister's husband for God's sake." He was too shocked now.

" No, I don't have any sword in my car... That was just to add weight to my threat. He should know, not to mess with a Rajpoot." I said with a smile.

" Oh my God !!! Shubh, even I was scared. " He said shaking his head. We both laughed at it.

" Bye... Take care of my Sandy. " I said to him.

" I will, Thanks... " Vikram Ji said.

" Please drop these formalities or I will add thanks to my threat too... "

" Oh, ok !! No sorry, no thanks." He said and embraced me tightly and patted on my back. I was going when he asked me to come back inside. But I refused politely.

I had planned to tell him that I loved his sister but after this incident, I just couldn't. I was not sure if it was a good idea. I don't think we were made for each other.

She was angry with me and she said, she doesn't understand me and doesn't was to be anywhere near me. I should leave her alone, she would not be happy with me.

I was too boring, loner, introvert, cautious, overprotective and conservative for her.

She was very carefree, friendly, extrovert, and spendthrift for me.

I didn't want her to get suffocated with my overprotective and over-possessive nature. We would not be able to adjust in marriage. She would never be happy with me.

However it might hurt me, but it would be better if we forget each other and stay away from each other as much as possible.



Vidhi's POV



Sid and Shruti were taking me inside, where everyone was. I was still in a shocked state. Why did Shubh behave in that way?

Why did he call Bhai outside? Why was he so against Dhruv?? He even broke his phone.

What was happening outside right now? What would he say to Bhai... How would bhai react ??

I was feeling really bad about what happened just now. Shubh was behaving abnormally. He was irritating me with his behaviour. I was so confused as I didn't know what was going on his mind?

Sometimes I thought that he was interested in me, that he was being possessive about me and then all of a sudden he got aloof as if he doesn't even care for me.

On Holi, I thought... I almost thought that he liked me as much as I like him. I could see that he was looking at me longingly. It seemed that he was in love with me, his eyes were so full of love for me.

But after a few minutes, he didn't even want to look at me or talk to me.

Today he behave irrationally. That was just too much of him to break Dhruv's phone, he was even calling him names.

But still, I should not have slapped him. It was totally uncalled for. He was being overprotective and I got very annoyed.

I just wanted to know, what right he had to be overprotective about me. I wanted to know, what was the status of our relationship. What was I for him??

He severed all connections between us and told me to forget about him. So why was he getting irritated to see me with another man ??

But anyway, I had no right to slap him. Bhabhi would feel so bad when she gets to know about it.

We reached where everyone was. Bhabhi was in tension.

" Where are Vikram and Shubh?? What happened?? Vidhi ?? Say something please..."

" Vikram Bhai is coming in a while. They had to talk about some issue. Don't worry bhabhi, everything is fine." Sid replied for me.

" Are you sure?? Shall I go there? " Gautam Bhai asked Sid.

" Yes, I am sure and he wants you to stay here and take care of all. They are just talking. " Sid said and Gautam Bhai nodded and sat there nearby with Maurvi bhabhi and Sid. While Shruti was with me.

" Vidhi what happened?? Why are you so off-colour?? Are you not well?? " bhabhi asked me with so much concern.

" I am fine bhabhi... I am just feeling bad. "

" Why?? What happened?? You want us to go home?? "

" Yeah... But, I don't want to spoil your outing with your friends. "

" Hey... Shubh is going back, he is still talking to Vikram that means he is still here. Let me call him, he would drop you home. " She started calling him and a tear slid from my eyes.

" No bhabhi, please don't... "

" Vidhi, what happened?? "

" I am sorry bhabhi... " I said.

" Why are you saying sorry?? " she asked but I didn't know what to say.

" Aren't you saying sorry to the wrong person Vidhi ?? " Bhai said in a somewhat angry tone. He had just returned.

" I am sorry Bhai... "

" Still the wrong person... " he said glaring at me and I bent my head as I was already feeling very bad.

" Vidhi, for god's sake, please grow up. You are 22. "

" What happened Vikram?? She was crying but not telling me anything." Bhabhi asked him.

" We will talk about it once we go back home. No more discussion on this now. " Bhai said. And he joined his friends. Mehul Bhai and Rahul Bhai had also come back by now.

We went to another place. I didn't want to go and I asked Bhai to let me go home but he refused, saying he will not allow me to be anywhere around that Dhruv.

Did, whatever Shubh say about Dhruv was right?? Oh, God !!

We came back home in the evening.

Dad was waiting for us to come home. Bhai and I went to meet him directly.

" What is going on Vikram ?? Tell me what happened today? Why did Shubh misbehave with Dhruv Raichand?? He fought with him and broke his phone. Why?? Why didn't you stop him?? Don't you know that they were my guest and came with a marriage proposal for our Vidhi? " Dad was saying to Bhai. I was shocked as hell.

Marriage with Dhruv ?? No...

" Dad, Dhruv deserved much more than that. I would have killed him with my own hands if Only I knew what he was doing. He has a criminal record dad. We must be thankful to Shubh. "

What ???? Oh, God!!

" What?? " Dad was literally as shocked as me.

" Yeah... Shubh had come to tell me about it as he saw him and recognised Dhruv as Dhruv was his friend's cousin. He was clicking Vidhi's pictures for the last two days without her knowledge. Shubh saw that and was just deleting the pictures first. But as he was snatching it from Shubh and he could not delete all the pictures, so he broke it. There are cases in the court against him. He was even involved in a sex racket. "

" Oh my God !! So what about her pictures?? "

Oh, God!! He kept trying to tell me to stay away from Dhruv. Yet I was being so stubborn. I was thinking that may be he was getting jealous to see me with another man. How stupid of me.

" Don't worry dad, he broke his phone so badly that they can't be retrieved. When I reached there, Shubh was giving warning to him to stay away from our Vidhi or he would break his jaw. We must thank Shubh for saving our Vidhi. "

Oh no... And I slapped him, instead of thanking him. I am so stupid. What do I do now??
