Epilogue

Vidhi's POV

4 years later...



" Which one do you you think is better, bhabhi?? " I selected 3 dresses and asked Sandhya bhabhi while manu was still clicking pictures.

" I think these two would look good on you. Try them. "

" What have you selected?? " I asked.

" These 3 and I like all of them. " Bhabhi said.

" That is the only problem I face every time I shop here. Mohit is an amazing designer. " I said taking a deep breath.

" Absolutely... " bhabhi agreed with me.

We tried them and selected 2 dresses each.

Manu was free and came towards us. We hugged each other and showed her our dresses. She loved them. We were gossiping, when I saw a very young, sweet and beautiful girl coming towards us holding both Sanya and Suhana.

" Ma'am ... "

" What?? Ma'am ?? Srusti, I told you not to call me ma'am. "

" I mean Manyata Ji, Suhana is getting a bit cranky for you now. " She said to her and smiled.

Oh God, her voice was so sweet.

Suhana extended her arms towards Manu. She took her and kissed on both girls cheeks.

" Oh, God !! they are so cute... Manu, Don't forget to come for Shuddhi's birthday day after tomorrow. "

" Of course, how can we miss it. we will be there on time. " Just then we saw Mohit coming towards us.

He smiled and greeted us. But something was different about him. He was smiling but was somewhat distracted. His smile didn't reach his eyes.

Manu's phone was buzzing and Suhana was snatching the phone so she asked us to hold Suhana. We wanted to take her but she clung to Manu.

Mohit took Suhana in his arms and Manu left to take the call but the little girl was still cranky. Mohit was trying to calm her but the little girl wanted Manu.

Then the girl who was holding them earlier asked me to take Sanya. I held her and Sanya came willingly.

The girl took Suhana from Mohit. Mohit gave her a weird look and shook his head. " It's ok, I will take care of her. You go and do your work." Mohit said but suhana literally threw her arms around the girl's neck.

" It's a part of my job, Sir."

She smiled warmly at the child and patted her to calm her down. Suhana hid her face in the girl's neck.

My phone was ringing now I saw that it was Shubh. I picked up the phone.

" Hey, beautiful !! How was your day? Are you free?? " I heard my husband's loving voice.

" Hi, handsome !!! Yes, I am free, in fact, I got free after lunch only, so I called bhabhi and we went shopping. "

" Oh thank God !! I didn't have to come with you. I was very busy, so I am really tired now. Have you got everything you want?? "

" Everything what we want for our princess's birthday. Gifts, return gifts everything. After all, it's her first birthday... "

" Wow !! Great !! So where are you now?? "

" We are at Mohit's workplace. "

" Why??? "

" Both bhabhi and I wanted a new dress for our daughter's birthday. "

" Oh ok !! Come back soon. I am going home. It was a long and tiring day for me and I am missing both the girls in my life. Come back soon. " He said.

" We are done, will be there in an hour. " I said.

" Hmmm... We have to see to all the arrangements. Bye. " He said and disconnected the call.

" Oh bhabhi, Shubh is free and is going home, wants me to come back as soon as possible. Kids might be missing us too. Let's go home. " I said and bhabhi nodded. The girl came and offered to take Sanya as well, as suhana was fine now.

" Oh, I can take her... How would you manage both of them? " Mohit said but she shook her head and took Sanya.

" It's ok, Mr Paul, I can handle them. " She said with a smile and went inside taking them both away playing with them.

What a sweet girl she was...

Anyways we made the payments and left from there after I invited him for my daughter's birthday party.

" Don't you think Mohit looked a bit distracted today?? "

" Yeah, not his usual self... "



Shubh's POV



I switched off my laptop and called my PA to give him some instructions. He was a very efficient man and managed everything well when I am not around. Our products were sold all over the world now and we were known in almost every household.

I briefed him and asked him to see if everything was ready for the party. I got up from my chair and took my suit jacket from the back of my chair

Thank God all the meetings were over. It was a very long and boring day.

We all were doing the preparations for her 1st birthday. We had to conduct two parties. One for family and friends. And another one for our other bigger family. We wanted to share our joy with all of them.

On our first anniversary, my beautiful and sensitive Vidhi gave me a unique gift. She gave away one of her property to me saying that she wanted me to make a place for kids as well as old people. It was a wonderful idea.

We made a place where old people and young children lived in the same place and lived like a big happy family and took care of each other. I was so proud of my Vidhi.

A small dispensary was also set up in that property itself, in case anyone needed any medical help and two doctors and 4 nurses were always present there.

The money we had saved on our wedding was used in a mass wedding for around 21 poor and orphan girls. We also provided them with all the basic things so that they could start their married lives happily.

Sandy, Vikram Ji, Vidhi and I go there every month to spend some time with all of them.

Even our other friends started going there at least 3-4 times a year.

I got out of my office and called my beautiful wife, she must have been free by now. She said she was doing shopping with Sandy. I was thankful that I didn't have to go with her.

She was handling her dad's business very well. They had chains of hotels all over Rajasthan and they all were running very successfully and had a very good reputation.

I reached home and saw my mom smiling at the kids. My cute little doll was playing our young and handsome Vihaan.

Vihaan is about 3 years old and my Shuddhi would turn one in 2 days.

The moment they saw me, Vihaan came running to me and I picked and hugged him and then looked at my doll, she also came towards me with her measured baby steps and hugged my leg. She had just started walking two months back.

" Papa ... " she said looking at me.

" Yes, my princess... " I said and kneeled down to take her in my arms.

She hugged me with her small chubby hands. I picked her as well. They both were smiling at me. They were the apple of my eyes.

Just then Sandy and Vidhi walked in with 3 helpers carrying the stuff that they must have brought.

" Good evening... Did you both buy the whole city again? " I said.

" Don't be mean Shubh. After all, it's our daughter's first birthday. " Vidhi said.

" And by the way, it is only half of the stuff, our cars are overflowing. " Sandy said with a broad smile and a wink. I took a deep breath and shook my head.

Sandy left after having tea with us. And my mom left with her as she insisted her to come with her. Dad was out of station and would be back tomorrow, she agreed.

Once we were alone, I reheated our dinner had our dinner while she made our doll sleep. She excused herself while I, again made a call to ask my PA to ask if he had made all the arrangements and he assured me.



" Shubh let's see what I got today..." Vidhi said.



" Oh God Vidhi !!! " It's her first birthday, if you keep buying stuff like that we would have to shift into a much bigger house. What will you do when our daughter would get married?? " she rolled her eyes.



" Don't overreact Shubh... Most of the things are gifts and return gifts. For her birthday. " I took a deep breath and nodded.



She would never change in this context. So I let it be...
