Chapter 12

Kelly's face looked silent as if she didn't know what to say. She stared at Alan's face as he approached her until he turned his face back and looked at Alam who was getting closer to her.

"Did you do this on purpose? You did this on purpose, didn't you?"

Alan raised his eyebrows. "Doing what, Baby? Making love to you, that's the nature of what you have to do with me. Because you can only do it with me and no one else. So what's wrong with that? Your asshole stepbrother wanted to trap you that night so I just wanted to save you from falling into the trap he set. Imagine if I hadn't been there, would you have been willing to marry a jerk like him?" he asked, leaving Kelly speechless.

Kelly really wanted to stay away from that man. Apart from the fact that she didn't like him, Kelly also knew that her stepbrother was a bit of a jerk and liked to do free things. Being liked by a man like him, made Kelly very ungrateful at all and wanted to get out of their lives as soon as possible.

"Ba-how did you get there? Don't say coincidence because I don't believe in that kind of thing. You must have come there on purpose when you found out where I was headed after work, right?"

Alan smiled a little and nodded without covering anything up. "I have Rocky to rely on for this. Didn't I tell you that there's nothing you can hide from me? I have the ability to gain access to your life even since you were a child. I told you that I've known and marked you since we were kids. I've lived here for decades and you, I've known you for a long time not just now, darling."

Kelly was silent, this man knew that much about her, how could he stay away if he couldn't even do that? Alan was a tough enough man to deal with Kyle, it wouldn't hurt if he accepted his feelings first.

"I'm not sure if I can help you to finish the war or not," Kelly said hesitantly making Alan raise his eyebrows. "I don't know how to return the favor, but I'll definitely try and maybe I'll train my powers to be able to do that. Maybe you can give me a year, I will immediately start training from now on to thank you and help you in the war." Kelly said hesitantly making Alan raise his eyebrows.

"I have seen many female spouses of a Werewolf clan leader always make great sacrifices to defend their clan. I must also be like that if indeed the peace of the clan can only be achieved by me. My power must be centered exactly there and I cannot if I do not expend it all. I'll just do this to return the favor for you, I can't go any further. Alan smiled a little, as he touched one side of Kelly's face with his broad, warm hand.

"For clan matters, we can do it together, Baby. There's no such thing as us sacrificing each other, nor would it be perfect for me to sacrifice you to a war that you can't survive. That's not necessary, now just focus on me and maybe our relationship? Are you still not willing to accept me?"

Kelly sighed, this guy was pretty hard to shoot and she was a bit afraid to expect too much. If she expected too much, the end would not be a good thing.

"Is it not possible?"

Kelly sighed and smiled softly. "If I do something serious right away I don't think I can, I don't know you much yet and we haven't changed and adapted to each other. Although I know that the nature of a partner will always adjust to each other but if you have lived in the human world for too long so it's not necessarily that you still have that nature. I'm just afraid of expecting too much while you're just playing around," said her making Alan smile a little.

He kissed the top of Kelly's head then took her in a hug. "Then let's try to get to know each other first. Let's try to open up to each other and try to change the traits we don't like a little bit. Although I have lived and grown up in the human world, my nature remains the same as a Werewolf. Not much has changed about me, just as you learned the nature of an Alpha so I am still the same."

Kelly was silent, not struggling in his arms.

"But no matter, you're still willing to try and that's already a good thing for me. I have two months to make you believe that I am serious and will never impose my own will. I won't be able to do that because we are bound by the rules made by the Moon Goddess. Don't worry, I am an obedient werewolf."

Kelly sighed and unraveled the hug. "You're really not going to force me unilaterally?"

Kelly smiled and nodded. For now Kelly would agree because there was no other way. Maybe with Alan's help she could leave the house soon and have nothing more to do with anyone.

"Maybe in a few days our mom and dad will come home. That stepfather of mine loves my stepbrother or Kyle very much, I intend to find another inn or apartment to rent and I want to get out of the house to live on my own. After I move my belongings or after I find a suitable apartment to live in, I will move out and will no longer be involved in their household or their family affairs. So can you let Kyle go when I leave? I don't want his problems to get involved with me while I still want to live peacefully and work smoothly without any interference," Kelly said at length making Alan smile.

"Do you want to live in an apartment? It just so happens that I have an empty apartment on the floor of my private apartment room. Would you like to use it?"

Kelly looked at him with a face that looked rather interested. "How much is the rent?"

Alan knew that if he said free then there would only be an argument with this girl so he decided to answer a number that made Kelly consider it for a moment.

"How about I pay twice? I'll take the year plan but won't you let me stay overnight first? I'll pay part of it when I get my paycheck from the company and part of it next month. I really don't want anything to do with my family anymore because I'm tired. My mom will never care about you either because she has a different life. I can't afford to pay for everything in full anyway because I only get paid in a few weeks from the calendar."

Alan smiled and nodded. "Okay, since you've already established and intend to establish a relationship with the incident I'll give you a little leniency for that. You don't have to worry, you may feel sad in your heart because you want to get bad treatment from mom but trust me I will take over that role. That guy who told me about you won't be able to do anything to me either, he's just a little kid who doesn't know himself but got involved in the fight for you."

Kelly believed this man's words must be true because he would certainly do anything to protect her. Alan also had great influence and power so his words were not just words but could experience reality.

"We'd better get to the office right away because it's already past 8:00. I don't want the supervisor to scold me for coming in late on the third day of work. We'd better go home immediately to come to the office because I still have a lot of work to do and might only be able to do it tomorrow. Kelly didn't say anything else and just looked at Nature who had restarted the car engine and was driving towards the company. All the way Kelly was silent, until Alan picked up his cell phone and dialed someone.

"Rocky, send a servant to prepare my empty apartment next to the main apartment. I want it clean by tonight because it will be occupied soon. Yes, you don't need any other reason to agree because it's all my business. Get on with it!'
