Chapter 23

Kelly spent some time at Alan's house a few days ago and then she came back to the apartment and looked at Alan's face who had just dropped her off.

"I'll go straight home and I'll pick you up in the afternoon. I've made an appointment for dinner with your mom and dad, after meeting them even if they don't allow it I'll still marry you. We're getting married this week so you don't need to think about anything else. Just think about our wedding preparations, because after marriage and honeymoon, I will take you to the clan."

Kelly nodded and smiled at Alan's departure. She watched him enter his car, before Kelly finally walked into the elevator and closed her eyes tiredly.

They did not make love on the nights Kelly stayed in Alan's room. She had made it a condition that they not do so until death and Alan had followed her wishes without thinking, making Kelly feel a little more that the man really loved her.

Kelly slightly discarded that thought but wouldn't stop hoping for Alan's kindness. Whether he was real or just pretending, she also hoped that if anything happened to her after the war, Alan would find a better partner and a better girl. She didn't want to make him suffer alone just because of her self.

Kelly had been loved and cared for by that man and that was more than enough. Kelly didn't want Alan to think too much and have trouble doing anything related to her.

"Why can't I ever stop this thinking? He has given a lot of evidence and has given a lot of words that should be able to hold for his promise and behavior, but why do I still have endless trust issues?"

Kelly entered the apartment and stepped into the kitchen. The woman looked tired of her own thoughts so after drinking she walked towards the spacious room and started some exercises. Before that Kelly made a protective fence to protect some items and walls from her attacks, before she finally concentrated her mind and some great power and ability came out of her.

Kelly felt that he was much different and had a strong aura and light that created a long storm around him. There was lightning striking around her body so Kelly could feel that if the lightning hit the body of someone she wanted it would be shattered into pieces without waiting long.

"It turns out that I do have the powerful abilities needed for war." Kelly clasped her hands to her chest and the light and lightning finally subsided. "Did Alan know about my strength? That's why he kept waiting for me to grow up and also to help him with the war?"

All sorts of bird thoughts came back but Kelly dismissed them as she calmed her mind and went back to doing some training. After that, she lay down on the sofa and looked up at the high ceiling of the apartment. She felt that her life was completely changed now, there was a sense of impatience to come to the clan immediately but she had to wait until they were married and enjoy the time first. Kelly also wondered why she should bother teaching him to find another woman if anything happened to her, Alan would definitely do it if she were to die and couldn't be used to bear children.

Kelly was sure that the man wouldn't be able to live alone. He may have been able to do so because he had Kelly to fall back on, but if we were alive again, he would find another way to find a new partner. After all, there was no restriction on an Alpha wanting to marry anyone, in fact there were many Alphas who even had concubines.

Alan needed an heir and children, although not from the womb of a Luna but he had also heard that Alfa had two Luna's in case anything happened to his old Luna.

"She can keep living well without having to trouble me or wait for me who probably won't survive. I'm sure warfare isn't an easy thing to do so if there's anything wrong with me he'll definitely find an alternative and another woman. After that, if I'm dumped or ignored, I'll be prepared from now on. How it will be will be known and I will see everything. I hope I don't fall and become a weak person just because I'm isolated."

"Find as many weaknesses of my father and his soldiers as possible, maybe within this month I will carry out the attack after marriage and honeymoon. I don't want to attack while Luna is pregnant because it will only risk our child." Alan said while looking seriously at the faces of several Werewolf men before him.

"Luna is already willing to help us?"

Alan nodded. "Our relationship is very good, I'm very happy that she accepted me. But she still thinks I accepted and loved her because I needed her in the war. Can't prevent someone from thinking badly of me plus Luna is a child who lacks affection and thinks if someone gives her affection it's because she's needed in some business. I want us to get the upper hand in this attack, I know it will be very dangerous so only after marriage will I take her to war.

"Don't let one or two things get us in trouble, including me and Luna. If I'm the one who is harmed and then can't survive then Luna will only be the one who suffers because I have nothing in common with her and keep her as the queen of our clan. She will go back to being a stray, I don't want anything to happen to us and you must ensure that."

His best men immediately nodded and left his presence by disappearing. Alan sighed and sat down in his chair tiredly. He knew it would be very difficult to make his girl understand what he was saying, but he was grateful that she was still willing to understand the situation and also willing to help him.

There were not many women willing to make sacrifices in this world and Kelly was a very tough Luna and impressed him. Even that woman was willing to help her just for giving her attention, Alan knew that this woman had lacked attention for a long time and it made him feel guilty for letting her think so far away.

"You'll know how I really am when I love you, Kelly, you can think badly of me but I'll never let you go for long. No matter what we have to stay together even if we can't do anything. I will never let go of my hand to make you feel the same pain that you felt from your mother."

Kelly opened her eyes when she felt that someone had rubbed her face. When she saw who disturbed her sleep, Kelly took a slow breath and opened her eyes wider.

"Alan..."

Alan smiled, leaning down to kiss her lips soulfully. "Wake up, darling, it's late afternoon, time for us to get ready to go to your mom and dad's for dinner."

Kelly blinked her eyes and looked to the right and left. That's right, it was evening. Kelly got up from her sleep and looked at Alan's face who had smoothed her messy hair.

"Shower first," Alan said, making Kelly nod.

Alan walked her to her room, handed her a towel and led her to the bathroom. Afterwards, Kelly showered herself and got ready, they would be going to her house soon so she had to show that she was okay even if she wasn't with them.

"You'll protect me from what Kyle says?" said Kelly as they walked out of the apartment unit and headed for the elevator.

"Kyle wouldn't dare do anything to you, I've spoken to your stepfather and he also welcomed me with great courtesy. Don't worry, in the business world I'm much more influential than them so I have a great ability to conquer them. Kyle and his father certainly prefer their business to getting into trouble with me. They will definitely approve of us, including your mother," Alan said, making Kelly nod.

"My mother is money-crazy and treasure-crazy, of course she would prefer to agree because her husband's company is at stake. I don't care if she approves of me because she's happy I'm married or just because of the company, whatever it is I'm happy, I just hope she doesn't do something that will make me a little embarrassed for you."

Alan opened the car door and led Kelly inside and looked at her face gently.

"Don't worry about it, Baby. Whatever your mom has to say is not going to affect you. She is she and you are you, you are different."
