Chapter 13

• Hann •

I screamed in pain, quickly removing the pencil from my left eye. I turned around and Cassia was gone, of course she had ran off. ‘That bitch, she’s going pay for this.’ Abius growled in my head. I felt anger rising inside of me and I left the room as my eye healed. She really fucking had the nerve to stab me and then run off. Did she forget that we had class together still?

’What were you trying to do to her?’ I questioned Abius, I was somewhat aware of what was happening. But once Abius takes over me completely, I black out. I knew I was the one who pulled her inside the class room. But I couldn’t remember what happened after I had asked her why she wasn’t afraid of me. Knowing Abius, he must’ve pushed her too far.

‘I wasn’t going to do anything to her. She got scared and stabbed us.’ He answered and I scoffed. Of course he wouldn’t tell me what he was trying to do. The same anger Abius was feeling, was also inside of me. I wanted to find her. We had last class together so I vamp speeded, ready to rip her throat out and drain her dry.

“Hann?” I turned around and groaned in annoyance seeing Scarlet walking towards me. ‘What does she want?’ Abius growled angrily. With how Abius was feeling right now. I knew it wasn’t face for Scarlet to talk to me.

“What happened? You have blood all over you.” She asked grabbing my face and for some reason I didn’t like that at all. Which resulted in me roughly grabbed her and pinned her against the wall. She gasped looking up at me but I ignored her and bit down on her neck. The anger I was feeling only got worse as I bit down. She started screaming but I didn’t care as I continued to drain her.

I pulled away seconds later and by the look on her face, I could tell she was scared. Good, maybe then she’ll fucking leave me alone. I leaned in to bite her again but was roughly thrown off of her. I landed on the lockers besides me and growled looking up at who had the guts to do such thing to their prince.

“What the hell? What are you doing?” Haruna asked, walking over to me and grabbing me but I quickly removed her hand away from me. Of course it was her. She was the only one that could touch me and that angered Abius even more.

“What does it look like I’m doing?” I asked her, fighting to keep Abius from surfacing. He wanted out and if he came out, there was no doubt in my mind that he would’ve also hurt Haruna.

All I wanted was Cassia but yet here I was dealing with Scarlet and Haruna. ‘Who does she think she is? Thinking she can just push us around.’ Abius questioned, his anger getting worse. “She’s my sister.” I said out loud, feeling him trying to take over. He felt stronger so I had to fight him harder in order to keep him away.

‘No.’ I growled, trying to calm down so that Abius could also relax. ‘That bitch Cassia deserves to die.’ He growled back. ‘I’m not letting you take control, you already made me hurt Scarlet.’ I told him, feeling himself getting weaker as I focused on remaining in control. But he was still angry.

‘That bitch deserved it also.’ He said, pissing me off once again. Of course he would say that. He hated Scarlet. He claimed that she was weak and annoying.

“Hann, you need to calm down.” I looked at Haruna, feeling her hands on each side of my face. I continued staring at her as I tried taking deep breaths. Her hands comforted me but right now it was harder to focus on her. I was consumed by Abius’ anger and I wanted Cassia to pay for it.

“I can’t.” I told her looking around. It was just her and I, Scarlet had run off somewhere. I must’ve really scared her for her to leave.

“Yes, you can.” I closed my eyes, taking deep breaths once again. ‘Come on, you’re really going to listen to her over me?’ I ignored Abius and continued breathing deeply. Haruna was right, I needed to calm down. Only then would I have full control over my body again.

‘She’s pushing you around Hann.’ Abius continued sounding more annoyed than angry. ‘She’s right, so leave me alone.’ I told him looking at Haruna who was patiently waiting for me. ‘You know I can’t do that.’ I ignored him again and grabbed Haruna’s hands. She really was the only person I could count on. I wouldn’t have been able to control Abius without her help.

“Thank you.” She nodded, looking at the blood that had tinted my whole left side of my face.

“What happened?” She questioned, wiping her own hands. She had blood on them from when she had grabbed my face to get my attention. Most of it had dried but some areas was still wet and uncomfortable.

“Cassia happened, she stabbed me in the eye with a pencil and ran off.” I half explained while she looked at me shocked. I wanted to keep what had happened quiet from Haruna but knowing her, she would’ve pushed for an answer no matter what.

“She stabbed you?” Haruna asked and I nodded. I was no longer thinking of killing her but she did need to pay for what she had done. She wasn’t going to just stab me and walk away.

“Yes, Abius must’ve done something to her for her to stab me and run off but he won’t tell me what.” I explained further before she could question me. I knew she wouldn’t believe that Cassia did what she did for no reason. I watched as she grabbed her phone and furrowed my eyebrow in confusion.

“What are you doing?” I asked, moving closer to her. Was she going to call Cassia? I didn’t know she had her number. How close had they gotten? Did Haruna know she was human?

“Texting her.” She answered and I quickly snatched the phone out of her hand.

“No, she’s mine to deal with.” I informed her and she looked at me shocked.
