Chapter 18
• Hann •
“Father!” I yelled, angrily walking inside the house. I had woken up after that stupid witch knocked me out and both her and Cassia were gone. I wasn’t aware that a witch was here.
“Hann, honey. What’s going on?” My so called mother asked, walking towards me. But I ignored her. I was here to talk to my father not her. I wasn’t interested in being anywhere near her right now.
”Where is he?” I asked her, looking around. I myself was pissed off. Abius had been quiet ever since I’d woken up. He knew that I was angry enough that he didn’t need to come out and piss me off even more.
“Your father is in his office and he wishes to not be disturbed.” She informed but I ignored her and made my way to his office. Well he was going to be disturbed. He allowed a witch at our school. Witches and werewolves weren’t allowed here. Father had gotten rid of them long ago.
I opened the door to his office and walked in. He turned around and looked at me. “What is it Hann?” He asked, moving to sit down at his desk. He had his laptop opened and paperwork’s scattered all around on his desk.
“Why didn’t you tell me there were witches here?” I questioned angrily as I moved to stand near his desk.
‘We should kill him for lying to us.’ Abius suggested, I guess he has take upon himself to show up and add more to my anger. ‘No, we’re not killing him. Go away.’ He laughed in my head but I ignored him, paying attention to the man who ruined our lives.
“Hann, son.” Father said, getting up and moving towards me. “I didn’t know there was a witch here. She must be new.” He informed. Bullshit, he definitely knew. The girl who attacked me wasn’t new. She’s been here long before us and my father wasn’t stupid enough to not know. He had eyes and ears everywhere. Mostly to keep an eye on me. So he definitely knew about her.
“Yeah, must be new.” I said, not even surprised he was going to lie about it. I didn’t want to deal with his bullshit anymore. I had given him the benefit of the doubt and hoped he would be honest with me but he decided to fucking lie once again. I scoffed and turned around to leave. He was fucking useless, selfish and only cared about himself.
“Hann.” He called, stopping me half way. “Did something happen?” I turned around and looked at him. He didn’t care, he was just pretending to care and acting like he was a good father. He was the reason we were living this shitty life. He was far from being a good father. Especially to Haruna.
“No, nothing happened.” I told him and turned around once again and left, slamming the door behind me. I wasn’t going to sit here and tell him my problems. I could handle my own shit. I was going to get rid of this bitch. She didn’t belong here.
“Hann.” I turned, seeing Haruna and ignored her, walking towards my room. By the look on her face I knew she was mad at me and was coming to lecture me about some stupid shit I did.
“You bit Cassia.” She said walking in my room and slamming my door shut. Of course it was about Cassia. Why did she fucking like her so damn much? She was human. And she was probably just using her to not get caught.
“Well, she’s been asking for it.” I told her, not really caring about what ever relationship they had.
“She’s my friend.” She yelled angrily, walking towards me but keeping her distance.
“You need better friends.” I told her, getting annoyed. ‘Why can’t we kill her again?’ Abius asked. ‘Because she’s my sister, the only family member I actually like.’ I answered him back. If Abius ever took control I knew he would hurt her and that truly scared me. He didn’t care about anyone. He only cared about himself. ‘I care about you.’ He voiced and I scoffed. ‘Shut the fuck up. You only do because I’m your fucking host.’ I told him and he laughed. Asshole.
“Stay away from her.” Haruna said getting in my face. She was getting bolder. Did she really like her that much?
“Or what?” I asked, leaning down and getting in hers. She backed up a little and just stared at me.
“I’ll be your worse nightmare.” She said sternly before walking out of my room. I smirked watching her leave. I won’t deny how proud I was of her for standing up to me. ‘Aww, that’s cute. Little Runa threatening us.’ Abius laughed and I rolled my eyes at him.
‘Shut up!’ I told and he was gone. Why the hell was Haruna protecting Cassia? She didn’t belong here. She might’ve been able to fool everyone but not me. I knew she was a human. I need to find out more about her. She was a human now but I needed to know if she came from a werewolf family and if so why wasn’t she a werewolf yet. Why was she here and why was she covering her scent. I also needed to know how she knew Christian.
My mind drifted to earlier and anger rose inside of me once again. Who the hell was that witch? And why was she also helping Cassia? What was so special about her that everyone was helping her. I sighed in annoyance and left my room, walking towards Haruna’s. I needed some answers. I wasn’t able to read my family’s mind due to a stupid yellow stone given to them by a witch, so I had to dig for some answers the old fashioned way.
“Runa.” I called, knocking on her door. She didn’t respond so I knocked again. Was she ignoring me?
“What do you want?” She asked rudely and I rolled my eyes at her. She was still mad. It didn’t take her long to get mad but it also didn’t take her long to forgive someone.
“To talk.” I informed, waiting at her door, I heard her moving but she didn’t open the door. Was she going to make me wait?
“Not until you leave Cassia alone.” She demanded and I rolled my eyes once again. Alright, she was asking for to much now. I just needed to talk.
“I’m not promising anything.” I told her, listening as she moved closer to the door.
”Then no. I do not wish to talk.” I sighed and grabbed the door knob. It was locked, of course it was. I thought about it for a little and answered her.
“Okay, I give you my word that I won’t touch her tomorrow when I see her.” Haruna opened her door and stood at the door frame.
“I don’t believe you.” She said, glaring at me and I rolled my eyes. What else did she want me to do?
“I give you my word, sister.” She stood there studying my face before backing away from the door frame and gesturing for me to walk in.
“What do you want?” She asked sounding annoyed and walked over towards her bed and sat down. She needed to get over herself. Cassia was still alive.
“There’s a witch here.” I informed, leaning on her desk top. Watching her take a deep breath and turn to look at me.
“Yeah, I heard.” She said blankly. I rolled my eyes again at her attitude and moved to pull her chair out so I could sit down.
“If it helps, she’s the one who stopped me from killing Cassia.” I told her, sitting down but before I could fully sit, Haruna got up and vamp speeded in front of me. Surprising me when she punched me across the face, sending me to the floor. Ohhh. What the fuck.
