Chapter Twelve

The sun shines directly on my face as I open my eyes, the bed is very comfy and I had a good night's rest, the best I've had in a really long while.

I hear voices outside, I go into the bathroom wash my mouth, clean up and walk downstairs to find Constantine and a girl with blond hair and brown eyes arguing. She was waving her hands all over the place like she was demonstrating, it seemed like they were arguing. I walk in and they both turn to go quiet and turn to look at me.

"Hey" I greet
"Hey, I'm Alice Constantine's childhood friend," she says

"I'm Eulalia, Constantine's PA" I reply giving a kind smile, just being friendly in general.

"Constantine you really have eyes for the pretty ones, cus girl you fine as hell" she teases and I blush at her words.

"Grab your stuff I'll drop you off," Constantine tells me

"No don't stress I know my way home," I tell him annoyed.

So he wants me out of his house so he can have quality time with Alice.

"Eulalia I'm dropping you off, so go get your stuff" he warns

I huff and walk to the guest room to get my things.

"Stupid, stupid man. He's so annoying" I mutter as I wear the dress from last night and grab my purse and phone from the nightstand.

I walk downstairs and meet him and Alice deep in a conversation.

"I'm ready" I mumble

"It was really nice meeting you Eulalia, I hope we hang out some other time when this raging beast is not around," she says hugging me.

"Nice meeting you too Alice and I'd really like that," I tell her

I walk angrily to the car and Constantine opens my door for me and goes over to the drivers' side and gets in.

The car ride was in silence, with me angry at Constantine and him keeping a stoic face as usual. He drops me off at my place and drives off without saying a word.

It's a Sunday so it's my day to rest and I don't have anything to do so I call Mandy.

"Hey babes, how are you?" I ask

"I'm good bae, only that my head is banging" she replies

"How did you get home last night?"

"Peter picked me up after your ass abandoned and you left your best friend for a man," she says. "You hurt my feelings Euli" she pretends to cry.

"My drunk ass dialed Constantine, Mandy" I whisper yelled

"What!" she shrieks

"Mandy, you're so loud, my head"

"I'm sorry, you did what?"

"Exactly what you heard"

"Euli you have a thing for your boss," she says

"Absolutely not, I do not like that douchebag," I say rolling my eyes.

"Keep lying to yourself," she says

"What are you doing today?" I ask

"Nothing, do you have anything planned?"

"Let's go shopping, do our hair, manicure and pedicure just do girl things"

"Okay give me an hour I'll meet you at your place"

At exactly an hour later someone knocks on my door, and I'm surprised to find Mandy because she never keeps to time, she is always late.

"Let me grab my purse," I tell her

She waits just in front of the door, I grab my purse and we head out. Mandy orders a cab and we tell him to take us to the mall. We go to the salon first.

"Hey ladies, what can we do for you today," a very pretty lady asks as we enter the salon.

"We want to try something new" Mandy replies

"Let's see what we can do" the lady replies

We sit and they get to work, they wash our hair and after a while, they are done with both our hair. I look in the mirror and my hair looks really beautiful. My once curly hair was now straight and had bangs. Mandy cut her long hair short and also straightened it.

"Thanks, I love my hair" I squeal excitedly.

"I'm happy that you are pleased with our services, we hope that you come another time" the nice lady that has 'Beatrice' on her name tag says.

"We'll definitely be back"

Our next stop was for a nice spa treatment, by the time we are done I feel new like a had new skin, and it is a really nice feeling. 

We finished early so we decided to go see a movie, I want to watch horror and Mandy wants to see sci-fi so we play a game to choose the one we'll see. I win so we settle for the horror movie 'Scream'.

The whole movie Mandy kept on covering her face and screaming profanities about how I made her watch such a gory and according to her 'disgusting' movie. People in the cinema kept on hushing her for screaming and disturbing their movie.


"I'm never going to see a movie with you again" Mandy retorts at the end of the movie.

"You will, I'll drag your sorry ass here, and you know you can't say no to your best friend" I tease her

We hail a cab and the driver takes us to my apartment.

"You're not coming down?"  I ask Mandy because she doesn't step down from the car.

"Yes, I'm going straight to Peter's he's been calling" she sighed

"Okay love, I'll see you later" I wave at her and the cab drives off.

I enter my apartment, change my dress to something more comfortable and go to the kitchen to fix something for myself for dinner.

The doorbell rings and I am wondering if Mandy forgot anything and she's come back for it.

"Coming" I yell so that the person can stop banging on my door.

I open the door and see Constantine standing there looking hot in just pants and polo, it's unusual seeing him wear casual clothes. He is always wearing suits.

"What do you want Constantine?" I ask annoyed. He acted like he didn't care about me the last time I was at his place and now he comes to my place.

"You"
