Chapter Thirty Two

CONSTANTINE'S POV

"I'm going for a meeting. I'll see you later" I gave her a brief kiss on her lips.

"I hope the meeting goes well"

"Of course, it will don't you remember who your boyfriend is. I am the king of all business" I said smirking and she laughed.

Her smile always makes my day and it just makes something in my heart stir especially when I'm the reason for her smile.

"I love you," she said

"I love you more than you'll ever know" we kissed briefly before she pulled away.

"Go on, before you are late" she shooed me away

"I want you to go to the distribution department and find out if they have supplied the products to our wholesalers"

"I will do just that. Now hurry so you won't be late for your meeting"

I wanted her to go with me but unfortunately, she had some other things to do. I didn't want all those men's eyes on her. She was mine alone, mine to look at. She might get bored halfway through the meeting and she'll eventually get tired.

My driver brought my Maybach to the front of the building and I entered. He drove me to the meeting venue.

I was meeting with a smaller design company to talk about my willingness to invest in their company. A few days back the manager came to meet me with some designs of their company and asked me to look at them. He also begged for a partnership with them since they were almost going bankrupt and they needed money. Their designs were nice but they didn't have enough exposure and people don't really know their brand. They needed popularity for people to start buying their brand. I decided to partner with them so they can grow their brand. My investment in their company will bring more money.

I called my lawyer and told him the address of the place. He needed to be there for the negotiation. I also asked him to draw up a contract. All discussion and signing will be done in the presence of my lawyer. I don't really trust all these small businesses. And I don't like to be cheated.

We got to the place and my lawyer was already waiting for me in the lobby.

"Good morning Mr. Rodriguez" he extended his hands

"Morning Daniel" I shook his hands "Are you prepared for this meeting?"

"Yes sir, everything is in my bag"

"Let's go in then"

We entered the elevator and I pressed the third floor, the doors closed and took us to the third floor. When the elevator dinged we came out, the meeting room was just by the right. When we entered the room, it became silent.

The men stood up to greet me but I just answered them with a wave of my hand. I sat down opposite the two men while my lawyer sat down by my side

"Let's proceed with the negotiations" my lawyer brought out our contract while the other company's lawyer brought out their own. We exchanged contracts. I allowed my lawyer to read through it.

"It states here that we will be given 40% of the income" my lawyer voiced out loud

"I don't agree with that. It's going to be 50-50. I'm investing heavily in this business so an equal share of the profit is what I'll agree to" he whispered something into his lawyer's ears

"Okay, we agree to your condition"

"Sign here" my lawyer showed me an empty spot to put my signature which I did while the manager did the same. We shook our hands after the signing

"Hence the signing is completed, I'll be taking my leave" I stood up arranging my suit

The manager stood up *Thank you for the investment and coming for the meeting"

I walked out of the to with my lawyer, we were walking to the lobby.

"Look who we have here," a voice said behind me making me halt. Adrian. My greatest rival. I turned around to face him

"What are you doing here Rodriguez?"

"How is that any of your business Adrian" I spat "If I may ask, what are you also doing here. Are you here to see your mistress?" I asked with a smirk. He glared at me

"Are you dropping a new collection soon?" he asked changing the topic

"Are you changing the topic? By the way, why are you so concerned about my new collection. That has never been your concern so why to start now"

"I just wanted to know when you are dropping it, so I can drop mine too". I laughed, this man does not know how dumb he sounds

"It seems you don't have anything better to say. I'm leaving now" I said  walking out

"This is not the end. My collection will be better than yours and it people won't stop talking about it" he said behind me but I didn't spare him a glance

"Asshole" I muttered

I parted ways with my lawyer, he said he had somewhere else to be. I called my driver and he brought the car to the front.

"The office or your house," he asked

"Office" he zoomed off

When I got to the office, my employees were running around going about their various jobs. When they saw me, they stopped to greet me but I didn't answer any of them. I needed to see Eulalia.

I did not bother knocking on her door, I just barged inside. She looked surprised to see me. I took a seat

"I was not expecting you back now. How did it go?"

"Come here" I commanded her "Sit on my lap" and she did it without complaining.

"So was it successful?" She asked wrapping her arms around my neck.

"It was but someone just had to piss me off when I was having a good day"

"Who?"

"Adrian fucking Caesare. He also asked me about my new collection like he knew I was dropping one soon. He even said mine will be better than yours" I said mimicking Adrian's tone. And she burst out laughing

"What's funny," I asked her annoyed

"I'm sorry, it just sounded funny when you were mimicking him. Don't worry about Adrian and his threat, he's just trying to get under your skin and he knows you always have the best collection. So smile for me" she said kissing my temples

"I'm sure you are hungry. Let's go and have lunch" she stood up from my lap

I held her wrists and dragged her back to my lap

"I'm hungry but not for food," I said with a grin. I lifted her and took her to the sofa.
