Chapter Nine

Constantine's POV

I know that the way I'm treating Eulalia might be wrong but I do not know why my feelings heighten any time she's around me. I feel like Euli has so much control over me and I don't like it, I didn't get to where I'm today by letting a woman make me putty in her hands.

I stepped out of my office after a while to apologize to Euli for the way I dismissed her after we did a few nasty stuff, I knocked twice on her office door and opened it but she wasn't there.

I came out of the elevator on the ground floor and I saw Euli and a young guy I was sure is working in my company, he had good features and I don't know but the thought of Eulalia having feelings for him, caused a tightening in my chest it just didn't feel good at all and I wasn't going to let that happen. I walked over to them.

"We have a meeting to attend now, get your bag and meet me in the car in front of the building, I want to see you in the car in the next five minutes." I was angry and I'm sure she noticed but her stubbornness wouldn't let her just follow my instructions " But sir, I wasn't....." I cut her off

"Now!"

She scurried to get her bag, then I turned to look at the man
"Do I pay you to flirt around, Mr..?
"Jason sir, my name is Jason"
"Get back to work and do what I pay you for"

I walked to where Joey parked the car and got in, Euli entered the car after a few minutes.

"Take us to Giulia" I turned to look at Eulalia and she had a panicked look on her face. "Sir, I'm not dressed for that place" she stutters a little and rubs her palms on her skirt.

"You look alright Miss Fletcher," I tell her typing away on my phone without taking a glance in her direction.

We get to the restaurant, take our seats and I call for the waiter.
"Good day sir and ma'am, what would you like to order"
"I'll have a plate of pasta e Fagioli"
"I'll take just water," Eulalia tells the waiter
"Get two plates of what I ordered," I tell the waiter and nod for him to get our orders.
"Sir, please what about the client we are supposed to meet," she asks with raised brows
"Constantine," I said with displeasure " How many times have I told you to call me Constantine and not sir? I do not like to repeat myself and besides we are way passed this, I've had my head down your cunt" I give her my proudest smile.

She looks at me with horror, her mouth hanging wide open. " Sir, sorry Constantine I think this is quite inappropriate and I was going to come to your office later in the day to tell you that we shouldn't be doing that, you're my boss," she tells me with a very serious face.

"Okay Miss Fletcher "

The client comes and we discuss business for about an hour, we shake hands and stand up to leave.

"Miss Fletcher, seeing as I'm your boss it's inappropriate for us to be in the same car, so find your way back to the office, and Miss Miller you have just thirty minutes to get back to the office. If you're not there in thirty minutes don't even think about coming back."

I enter into my car and Joey drives off, I'm definitely not going to sack Euli but I just wanted to punish her a little. On the drive back to the office, I think about the taste of Eulalia's juices on my lips, how she tasted like strawberry. I'm just going to let her be for a few days or maybe weeks.

I get back to the office and Eulalia was there already waiting for me in the reception, how the fuck did she get back here early.

We enter the elevator to our floor and she heads back to her office without sparing me a glance.
My phone starts ringing and it's my mum.
"Hey ma, how are you doing?"
"Constantine, you do not care about your ma anymore, when last did you come to see us?"
"Mum I've been busy with work, I've so many things on my plate that's why I've not come" I respond
"Come to dinner today Consta" She pleads

" Okay mum I'll be there, I've to get back to work now I'll see you at dinner"

"Love you" she hangs up.

Adrian comes to see about a business proposal and while we took there's a knock on my door

"Come in," I tell whoever is at the door Eulalia walks in, and immediately she sees Adrian her face becomes red.

"Good day, Mr. Adrian" she greets him. " Adrian, I've told you to call me Adrian so many times Eulalia" Adrian responds.

"How are you doing, I hope Constantine doesn't stress you ?" he asks her, she looks over
at me and shakes her head immediately.

" Not at all, Adrian" she replies.
" Sir. , that's a file from accounts," Euli tells me
"Miss Fletcher you can leave now," I tell her, I didn't like how she and Adrian were just exchanging smiles and blushes.

"What's wrong with you man?" Adrian asks once Eulalia closed the door after leaving my office.

"How?"
"The way you dismissed her wear rude" he responds
"There was nothing rude about that, please let's continue"

After an hour Adrian leaves, I work until it's late and leave the office for my parents' house for dinner.

I drive to my parents out and meet them when they are already at the table.
"Good evening ma, good evening dad" I walk to my mum and kiss her cheeks. My younger brother was there already seems like he and my parents had settled their beef for now.

During dinner, my mum brings up the topic of girlfriend and getting married.
" Consta I'll set you up on a blind date with my friend's daughter, she just graduated from law school" my mum chatters in excitement

"Mum please that won't be necessary I'll get a girlfriend myself"

" Constantine I'm serious about it, you must attend this blind date," she says with a stern look on her face. " I'll send you details tomorrow."
My dad just agreed with everything my mum said, we talked about business and the company. After dinner, I kissed them goodbye and headed home.
Not without my mum threatening me about coming to see her.
