Chapter Fourteen

The blinding light from the curtain shone in my eyes causing me to turn to the other side yawning. I winced at the soreness in my limbs, I touched the other side of the bed and it was cold.

I sat on the bed and the events of last night came rushing to me

But where was he?

Did he leave already?

I checked the time and I was supposed to be on my way to work. I checked the living room and kitchen but he was nowhere to be found he probably left.

I took a shower and dressed up for work. I picked coffee from the café and stepped into the office building

"Good morning Sam" I greeted the receptionist with a smile which she returned

"Good morning Euli" she responded with a smile " I trust you had a nice night?" She said

It's as if my heart stopped beating when she said that. Did she know I slept with the boss?, Did he announce it to everybody?. I thought of different things

"Are you alright?" She asked interrupting my thoughts "you look pale?"

"No, nothing is wrong. I'm alright, I just remembered something" I said "Is the boss here already?"

"No, he hasn't come in yet"

"Okay, I'll just go upstairs. See you later"

"You too" I heard her say as I walked past her into the elevator.

My mind was in a jumble inside the elevator. Now Constantine finally got what he wanted will he still act like a jerk to me. He's been teasing me since I started working with him and he has finally gotten what he wanted

"Shit!!!, I shouldn't have given in to my desires" I cursed

"Too late, the deed has already been done," my subconscious said

The elevator dinged and I stepped out and walked into my office. I was not going to avoid Constantine. I knocked on his office door

"Come in," he said in that commanding tone that always made my insides tingle and go weak

I went inside and he didn't even spare me a glance

"Do you need anything, sir?"

"No"

So he's back to this, I might as well play along

"Okay, if you need me for anything just call me"

He didn't respond, I left his office and went back to mine. There were some files on my desk that I needed to put in order and I did just that forgetting about Constantine and the silent treatment.

My phone rang and it was Jason on the line

"Hello Euli," he said

"Hi Jason"

"I wanted to know if you would like to have lunch with me?"

Was it already lunchtime?

I checked the time and it was lunchtime already.

"Sure, let me just get my things"

I grabbed my purse and jacket and went to our usual lunch spot. Jason and Samantha were already seated, Samantha was drinking a smoothie

When I approached their table, Jason stood up to take out a chair for me

"Thank you"

"It's always a pleasure. What would you ladies like to have?" He asked us

"I would like a burger with soda," I said

"I'll have the same" Sam said

"I'll be right back," he said leaving the table

"Jason has the hots for you," Sam said

"He told me already but I've told him we can only be friends. I don't have any feelings for him"

"You should give him a chance," she said before Jason came back with our orders.

"Here you go ladies," he said giving us our snacks

"Thanks," we said in unison

"So what is it like working with Mr. Rodriguez, I heard he is very strict and bossy," Sam said

"You shouldn't be listening to gossip Sam," I said. "Well, he's not that bad but sometimes he could be an ass," I said making them laugh

"There's always a but," Samantha said in between laughs

My phone rang, I brought it out of my purse and saw Constantine's name.

Why is he calling me now?

I picked up "my office NOW" and then he hung up.

"Who was that" Jason asked

"The boss....he said I should come to his office this minute, I need to go. Sorry for cutting our lunch short I'll make it up to you guys some other time"

"I feel sorry for you but what can we do, he writes our monthly cheque"

"Bye," I said picking up my jacket and purse and leaving the restaurant in a hurry

I rushed to the office to avoid being scolded by Constantine. I knocked on his door

"COME IN" his voice boomed

"You are in trouble" my mind screamed

"WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU?" he asked

"I went out for lunch," I said making sure my voice did not falter

"You went out for lunch with who?"

"Jason and Samantha"

"You went out with your boyfriend," he said sternly

"Point of correction he's not my boyfriend. We are just FRIENDS" I said in a duh tone

"It's none of your business if he's my boyfriend"

"Does this boyfriend of yours know that I was inside you yesterday and how you were screaming my name while you came on my fingers or my dick?" he said his breath close to my ear

"I bet he doesn't satisfy you just like I did," he said placing a kiss on my neck, he sets me on his desk spreading my legs apart, and he pushes my panties to the side.
