Now who is she..?

That dark room was still so scary for me but somehow being with Edward gave me the courage to face my fear. But when we both were deep in each other that sound startled both of us. Even though I wanted to see who it was but looking at the circumstances we were in , it seemed a better idea to walk out than to go and see where the sound came from. As much I wanted to see what was in there but the fear that it can be another move of William to create trouble for me...scared me. And hurriedly I and Edward left from there..
My mind was still on that room and the incident not the one from today but of the day when I first went inside that room.. For the very first time..
That room is way mysterious for me now.
Sensing my worries Edward tried to calm me down but he was mistaken, he thought that I was worried because of what happened just now. But I was thinking about the event that has already happened in the past.. I don’t know what took over him all of a sudden that he started kissing me Passionately. I too reciprocated his affection .
Then all of a sudden a voice rang in my ears.. “what the hell is going on in here..?”
I turned to see who it was. And there she stood.. Well what a mannered person.. Who the hell shows up at 5 in the morning at anyone’s door.. Well the answer is..
Edward’s new love interest.. The girl to whom he was engaged now was eyeing me with hatred..
She walked up to us.. And grabbed Edward’s hand, like she has the right to do so.. Jealousy sparked inside me. I wanted to slap her but I couldn’t cause matter of fact, she did had the right to hold his hands . And now her watching us kissing could land us in big trouble.
“ How can you do this Edward.. We are engaged... And.. No matter if our father made this alliance, I liked you since we were child.. And here you are kissing your step mother... Disgusting...” she yelled at us..
Well it is disgusting that she is claiming to like Edward in front of me.. And I could not do anything..
“ listen... I can explain...” Edward said in defence though it was necessary but his words were cutting me deep.. The way he said.. It made me feel like I’m wrong..
“ no.. Now.. I’ll talk to uncle William...” she said in threatening tone and started marching out of the house..
Damn it... If she’ll tell anything to William we are finished..
“ Look I need to go and talk to her... You just wait for me.. Okay.. I promise nothing will happen..” Edward said in a concerned way to me and followed that girl..
I stood there paralyzed, what if she really told everything to William.. Holy shit...
And Edward.. Will he come back for me... Or he is going to leave me again.. Cause it was already half hours since he went to talk to her..
I was still sitting on the couch in the hall. When Edward walked in.. He came walking up to me.. And gently pressed his lips on my forehead..
“ Don’t worry she is not a trouble any more...” he said.. In a tired voice..
Then taking a seat beside me, he kept his head on my lap and lied down... I gently started brushing his hairs with my fingers..
I wanted to ask him everything . The reason why he got engaged and what did he told her that she agreed to him..
“ William has kidnapped daisy my step mother and was threatening me, to get engaged or else who would kill her..” he said.. In a low voice..
Holy hell... And all this time I was doubting Edward for nothing..
I panicked thinking about his paralyzed mother..
Edward sensing my action took my hands in his and kissed the palm of my hand to calm me down while still lying on my lap..
“ liz.. As much as I wanted to be there for you.. I could not risk one more life and that to of my mother... And on top not when William knows about us.. That’s why he got me engaged on that very evening..” he said..
Bloody hell.. I jumped off... Listening to this.. William knows about this.. Damn it. So all the time when I was getting intimate with him tonight, he already knew about my affair with Edward..
“ Relax Liz I know what you’re thinking but don’t worry .. You don’t have to worry any more..” Edward said grabbing my cheeks in his palms.. Holding me firm..Giving me gentle look..
“ How can you ask me not to worry.. Damn it Edward.. William has your mother and on top he knows about us.. And now your so called new would be wife saw us while kissing.” I said in a rushed manner.. By the time I was finished.. I was out of breath...
“ Liz... Don’t worry about her... I told you she is not a problem.. And about my mom.. I have asked Eric to look for her.. As he knows about every spot William visits.. So I can assure you I’ll find my mom soon and she’ll be safe..And about us.. Well nothing is changed... I still love you... And will keep on loving you... I promise... Trust me on this. I’ll handle William.. You don’t have to worry about anything.. But for now we have to keep on pretending... Cause I can’t risk your and mom’s life or anyone’s else life..” he said.. And engulfed me in his affectionate embrace..
“ and you... He could hurt you also..” I asked worries dripping from my word..
My mind was still in conflict, but my heart believed everything he said..
“ Me.... I’ll be fine Liz.. I don’t know how but that monster father of mine, is not going to hurt me.. As much as I want him to kill me instead of other but he won’t.. I don’t have any idea how come he loves me this much.. A torturous way of loving though.. Where he is hurting me but is not ready to loose me..” Edward said still holding me tight..
I know William loves him.. I don’t know how.. But he does.. And it’s surprising as hell..

I wanted to ask him what he said to that girl. But I didn’t wanted to push him any further, there was already going to much on his plate.. I can’t just push him with this.. He already has told me more than enough..
While we were silently enjoying each other’s embrace.. Edwards phone rang..
He answered it..
“ Liz.. Eric has found something.. I have to leave.. Right now.. I’ll be back.. And don’t forget I love you...” he said.. Giving a quick Peck on my lips and left..
I still was deep in my thoughts.. My life has turned into disaster.. I lost my brother... My mother.. And now.. I’m at the verge of loosing my self.. My anger for Edward evaporated.. I know I have lost my brother.. But he to is at the verge of loosing his mother.. I can’t blame for choosing her over me..
Getting my mind back to the present scenario, I went to take bath.. I don’t know , William is unpredictable.. He can be back right now.. If he saw me like this.. He’ll definitely doubt me..
After taking bath..i went down stairs.. The house was still vacant.. No servants has yet arrived.. I decided to make a breakfast for myself.. But as I was walking.. Towards the kitchen.. I heard.. A sound of breaking of glass.. Coming from the basement...
I rushed towards it..
Although I was scared cause no one was at home.. And if there is something that could hurt me then I would not be saved.. But my curiosity was at peak.. I need to see what was in there.. Which kept haunting me.. Taking a torch.. I went into the basement.. I stood in front of that door..
Taking a deep breath to overcome my fear.. I unlocked the door and entered...
Flashing the light of torch in every corner, I tried to see what was in there... But the room was vacant... First time I could see the details.. It was dirty room.. Spiders webs on the wall.. Broken chairs.. Dirty floor.. It seemed like this corner of the house was never cleaned.. I could also see few scattered torn clothes on the floor, broken water bottle and few cups.. And plates..
I was still filling my mind with details.. When I heard a voice.. Holding a thick British accent..
“ Are you looking for some one dear...!” ..
Startled by the sound I turned around to see..
I was hell afraid.. Thinking who it can be.
And then I saw.. An old woman.. She must be in her seventies..
She was looking.. Worn out and fragile.. And she definitely looked malnourished..
Who is she?... And why the hell was she looking at me..? Like she knows me.. Since ages...
