"I never saw you having any contact with the man you helped back then. I wonder if he went home because I never saw him coming or approaching you when you were standing in front of the house."

Katherine looked at her mother who had just spoken, then smiled softly and shook her head.

"We both have our own busy lives so there won't be any meet-ups like that. Let it go, mom, I don't really know him anyway so I don't want to get too close to him."

Sonya chuckled at her daughter who was still focused on something on her tablet.

"You're already an adult, when are you going to have a good relationship with a man?"

Katherine looked at her with a confused face before sighing. "I don't think that's a good thing, Mom, especially now that things aren't going well. I don't want to make my child's life miserable because the earth is getting out of control. We're also forbidden to get married unless we're really ready in all aspects including what we can work on right now," she said making Sonya smile. "I can't fulfill mom's wish for now to get married, I can't get married yet, mom. Because after all, right now is not a good time to do it."

"I understand, your difficulties are just this and that makes some young people have to postpone their marriage. It's not a good thing but it's for the best, although not everyone will understand that. It's also better now than regretting it later when we can no longer do anything because we have children."

I've decided to make it more or less about the same life, we won't go through discussing what doesn't enter in your world of work nor will we discuss something that can accompany. We can still do activities and be friends like before, without any drawbacks."

Katherine smiled softly and then looked at Elano's face which looked very relaxed. "You shouldn't expect much from me, I'm also not that lucky to be a friend. What's the advantage of being friends with? I've never brought any luck, I'm not even a senior professor, I still have seniors in this research organization. It's better to approach some other Professors who bring more advantages to you, because it will only make you get better results," she said making Elano silent.

Elano sighed softly, then turned around to find his assistant. Since returning from Katherine's house earlier he seemed to have been thinking about something so heavy but he did not know why and how to resolve his thoughts.

The girl was staying away from him and for some reason he was uncomfortable alone.

"Are you sure I can still continue with all my goals and intentions? I feel a little unsure that I can face those who are of course keeping a distance from each other so that no one will take the opportunity." Elano said as she reached for a wet tissue to wash her hands.
