Ten

"Are men like that when brokenhearted, overly stubborn?" I asked her.
As we enter the elevator.
"I do not know," answer it while laughing.
We have reached the second floor. We exited the elevator. And enters the rude man's office. When Priya opened the door he frowned at us. I think he was absent.
“It's good that you came, Miss Moran. Miss Maureen, is in the office now. Go and see her." he says to me.
I nodded and motioned for Pia to accompany me to where the boss’s office was. It walked first, and I followed.
"Let's have lunch together later, Gianna," she says to me.
"Yes." was my answer.
We are now walking to the owner's office.
We stopped at the cholate brown-colored door.
"Here's Miss Maureen's office," she said, once knocking on the door.
"Come in," said the voice inside.
"I'll leave you first, Gianna. I'm going to my office. " She said. and walked away. I turned the door lock and entered. I came across a woman in her forties, sitting in a swivel chair. Her hair was straight and she was wearing a lot of jewelry.
"Good morning, Ma'am. I'm your new secretary, "I said.
"Good morning too. Come on in, " she says.
"I know about you because Rohit Khan told me yesterday," she says.
"Sit down first and I'll give you instructions," she says. I sat on the couch in front of Miss Maureen.
"You're Gianna, right?" she asked me.
"Yes." was my answer.
“Okay, I want to tell you that I'm not always in the office. You have nothing else to do but replace me with my chair while I'm gone. I can't settle down in one place," she said, laughing.
"I want to go on vacation anywhere and do what I want to do with my life. I'm sure that, you already know me. Just call me "Miss Maureen. For now, just buy me some food outside." I nodded once, taking the money she gave me.
I was in the living room with Lance. He frowned at me.
"What does that look of yours, Lance?" I said, laughing.
"I used to have a job, Marcus, so I'm annoyed right now."
We looked at each other when my phone rang.
I looked at it and Maureen called. What else does this woman need from me? I let it sound.
"Answer the call. Maybe that's important" it says.
"I don't, Lance," I said.
 
"Why are you avoiding that woman?"
“I don't like Maureen. Lance, you can't force me. " I told him.
"Maybe there's something important to tell you. She always called," he said to me.
A minute later, I answered the call because the woman had no intention of stopping the call.
"What do you need, Maureen?" I asked.
"How are you, Marcus? Come here to the office; I'll tell you something. "
“I have a job. I can't leave the office." I answered her.
"Even just now, Marcus, please," she says.
"All right." My answer.
I'm breathing deeply. After I hung up, I stood up with my phone in my hand.
“Let's talk later about the company you're going to build,” I told him.
His face was enlightened.
"Marcus?" was his question.
I nodded and left the house. I got in my car and turned it on. An hour later, I arrived at Maureen's building. The guard let me in. I was now walking towards the elevator and was greeted by the female staff member I would meet. I'm already in the elevator. What are the two of us going to talk about?
A minute later, I was in front of Maureen's office. I knocked and opened the door, then entered. I found her busy.
"Marcus, dear, you've arrived, "she said, then stood up.
She approached me and kissed me on the cheek.
"Sit here on the couch first," she says to me.
I sat on the couch, and then it came over and touched me in the face.
"I miss you, Marcus," it says.
"What do you need from me?" I said.
"I have a lot of work in the office."
"I know, but we'll eat first before you leave," she said to me.
"I even ordered my secretary to buy us food."
Has she already found a new secretary?
Soon the door opened and my eyes widened. The woman I had been looking for came in. The woman who didn't put me to sleep for a few days and the woman who stirred my heart. Our eyes met, and I noticed that she had swallowed. I know and I feel that she recognized me because she was suddenly restless.
I can only see her here. It would be good if I agreed to come here if I didn't, I’ll regret everything. I looked away from the woman before Maureen could see me.
"Gianna, Here you are," said Maureen to the woman.
I just watched her as she approached us. I restrained myself from talking to her. She laid the food she had brought on the table near me.
"You should eat and join us, Gianna," Maureen said.
“I'm still full, Miss. I'll just need to come out for a while. "
Maureen nodded, and the woman came out. I want to chase her out and talk to her.
I was sweating profusely. Why is it that in so many places, a man can still see me here in the office? I didn't even notice that he and Miss Maureen would meet. I ran towards the first floor of the building. I'm going to Pia's office. I will hide there no matter what happens. I will not come out until I see that the old man has left. I have arrived at the office.
I immediately opened the door of Pia’s office without knocking. It was gaping at me.
“How many people chased you, Gianna? Why do you look like that? "was her question.
"It's nothing," I answered.
"Are you sure? Here's the water; drink it first," she said to me.
I’ll reach for the plastic mineral water. I took it and drank it.
"Look at yourself in the mirror," she says.
I took the mirror she gave me. I put it in my face. I saw myself in the mirror. I was sweating. My hair was blown loose.
I was restless in my seat. I always look at the door. I want to go out and find Gianna.
"Marcus, are you okay?" Nirvana asked me.
"Yes." was my answer.
"I'm sending you here to tell you that my company will launch a new product soon. I want you to come and it will happen in Singapore," it says to me,
"I'm going, Maureen, but for now I'm leaving first."
I stood up, and Maureen followed me as well.
"All right, Just go," she said, once hugging me.
I nodded, then said goodbye.
When I came out, I suddenly ran to the first floor of the building. I looked for her everywhere in the women's restroom and the powder room, but she wasn't there. I was depressed, but I would not give up when they came home later. I will wait for her outside the company.
I thought of going back to Miss Maureen's office, maybe the old man had already left.
I immediately opened the door as I arrived in front of Miss Maureen’s office. I went in and found it putting lipstick on its face. It says to me,
"It's good that you're here, Gianna. Eat the food for yourself; it's a waste of food when you don't eat it. "
I nodded and sat down on the couch.
"I'll leave early. You'll take care of the office first, "it says.
"That's for you." At once, she handed me three paper bags.
"You work for me, so you must have something coming out of here."
"Thank you, Miss," I said.
She nodded and carried the bag out. I was left breathing heavily.
I was in a cafe with Lance,
"What are you thinking, Marcus?" he asked.
I did not speak. I was wondering how to talk to that woman.
"What did Maureen say to you there? Why are you acting like that? " he asked me.
"Maureen's secretary is the woman I've been looking for," I said.
"Seriously? Did you talk? " he asked me.
"No, Lance, she must have realized I was looking for her, so she seemed to be hiding," I said.
"Is that so? Why are you looking for her? " Lance asked me.
I was speechless. Why? I don't even know why I’m chasing her. 
"Why did you fall silent all of a sudden? Let her go first, Marcus; what happened to you two is not an issue for her."
"But Lance, I was struck by that flash of love, and I still feel that for that woman," I said.
“Yeah, you don't have to raise your voice. Talk to her properly," he says.
I always look at my watch. I may not be able to reach her later.
"It's early, Leon, you don't have to hurry."
I took a deep breath first, then drank the juice. I leaned back in my chair.
“Where do you plan to buy an area for you to build a building? Did you know anything is for sale? " I will ask.
"I've seen something, Marcus," he says. He was very excited about building his company.
"You fix the price and we'll buy it," I said.
"Thank you, Marcus."
"Didn't your wife call?" I will ask.
"I don't look forward to that anymore, Leon," he said, then shook.
"Why don't you call her?" I will ask.
"She can't be contacted. It looks like she changed a new sim card.”
“Marcus, this hasn't happened to the two of us just once. When she leaves voluntarily, she should also come back voluntarily. This kind of relationship is tiring. It's not that you love her so much that you have to chase her all the time. " Lance explained.
It was as if I had been punched in the stomach by what Lance had told me. I thought, why am I chasing that woman? After all, we have no relationship. It just so happened that we were both drunk that night, so we had a one-night stand. But it was as if someone was pulling me towards her.

I stood up and walked out of the cafe. I got in the car and drove it to Nirvana’s company. When I arrived, the people who worked here went home. I didn’t get out of the car, so I could see whoever came out of the building. It's getting dark as well.
Three minutes later, I saw Gianna walking out. I hurriedly got out of my car and ran towards her. But she saw me. She suddenly ran into a crowd. I chased her, but I could not catch up with her because she suddenly disappeared from my sight. Shit! You only chased women, Marcus, but you haven't caught up yet! punishment for my brain. You can't escape me for life, Gianna!" I said to the air. I got back into the car and sat inside.

I seemed to be short of breath. What does that man need from me?
"Why are you running? Why don't you face him properly? "my mind asked.
I don't know why I'm afraid to face him. I don't want anyone chasing me. I don't want to add to my worries in life again. I haven't faced Geoff yet. And this old man, added again? I'm getting tired. When I change my life, a problem will come. I hope the old man stops chasing me. I don't even want to lose my job because of avoiding him. I left where I was hiding and continued walking.
