Thirty Five

I was the first to leave the guest room, and Carl was right behind me "I almost forgot you were stupid during the time we hadn't seen each other, Carl, and I thought you had a wife during the time we hadn't seen each other. He took a deep breath behind me.

"Yes, the woman I want married someone else, but I didn't even tell her how I felt about her." his response.

I burst out laughing. Is there still such a thing as a stupid man today? Carl will demonstrate that there is.

"Aren't you finding it difficult to be alone here?" I inquired.

"No, sir, I'm going to wander over to the other village." he replied.

Carl used the key to open the door I was previously using. I walked in and said,

"Please just prepare our food," I say.
I figured Carl would get married and have kids soon, so I let them wear these clothes. I went back into the guest room and changed into a pair of t-shirts and pajamas. Gianna was still sleeping peacefully when I returned to my room after putting the clothes on the bed. I grabbed a towel and changed into some clothes. Before going to bed, I take a shower.
He nodded and exited the room, leaving me alone. Everything I used to own is still in my possession. I believe the entire house has been freshly painted. I didn't see any old items that appeared to be out of date. I had no idea Carl could keep these things running. I looked for clothes that Gianna could wear. I laughed at the smallness of my clothes before. It didn’t come to mind that I was going to give my clothes to the people who are in need. I shook my head. I already had a grandson but my clothes from my adult years were still here.
I went outside after I finished my bath. Gianna's sobbing had piqued my interest just a few moments ago. Maybe I'll ask her later. I changed into a different outfit and went to the kitchen. Carl was cooking when I noticed him. I approached him and looked at the foods he was preparing, then I noticed crabs and shrimp.

"Where is your girlfriend, sir?" he asked me.

"She hadn’t woken up yet." My response.

"Is this correct? Perhaps we should just feed her. We won't be able to consume it. Maybe she'll eat seafood, sir? " He asked me, and I nodded.

I got up with my eyes closed because I needed to pee.  I opened my eyes to see the toilet, but I was shocked to learn that I was not in my room at my aunt's house. I looked at the dress I was wearing. It was still the same one I was wearing last night. Right! shout in my mind.

What am I doing here? I stood up and flung open the window. I was astounded because I saw the sea, and despite the fact that it was dark, I knew it was clean. I go to the restroom first to urinate. Then I considered getting out of the house. It's a good thing because I'm not lost. I'm standing in front of the house right now. So I'm now at the beach house. But where has Marcus?
I go for a walk to the beach. The moon is shining brightly, so perhaps it's safe to take a bath. I took a look around and pondered. Except for the owner of the house, no one else is likely to visit this location. So I took off my entire dress, leaving only my two-piece bikini.

I considered going to see Gianna in the guest room, but when I opened the door, there was no sign of her. I went inside as a result. Maybe she was just in the bathroom, but she wasn't here, and I frowned as I opened the window. I reasoned that Gianna might not have jumped out the window. But my attention was drawn to a shadow standing on the beach's edge that I recognized.
It was illuminated by the moonlight, and Gianna was dressed only in a two-piece bikini. What exactly does she do? Is she going to go swimming at night? In this area, the sea is extremely cold. So I grabbed the bath rub from the cabinet and rushed her to the beach. I was about to dive into the sea when a cloth wrapped around my entire body.

"What are you doing?" Marcus asked as he held me and tied the bathrobe sweater around my waist.

"Please let me go. "This is my response.

"I'd like to take a bath," he said as he let go of me and confronted me.

"The sea water is cold here, Gianna, especially at night, so I'm sure you'll catch a cold tomorrow," he explained.
I inhaled deeply.

"Marcus, my body is accustomed to cold temperatures. So it's all right," I said after taking off the bath rub I was wearing and handing it to him.

I also noticed that it appeared to be the other way around. Because he couldn't look at me in this way, I smiled. I went down to the water's edge. Because it was so cold, I shivered. I thought there were no sharks in this area? What if that's the case? Marcus then began to walk away from me. Will he abandon me here? So I yelled  at him.

"Marcus! Where are you going? Don't leave me here!" I yell.

I frowned because he didn't seem to hear what I was saying. It simply kept walking.

"Marcus, please return!"  I continued to yell.

I laugh at Gianna's voice, which appears to be trembling with fear. She will take care of her life, she embodies her stubbornness. But I was stopped when I couldn't hear her shout any longer. I looked back at where she was, but she was no longer there. She was too white for me to see her right away. A shiver crept into my chest as I couldn't find her. Shit! That woman may have drowned.

"Gianna, please! Gianna! Where are you? Don't make such a fool of myself!" I yelled.

I dove into the water and looked for her.
I swam to the deep part of the sea, but I couldn't see her. When someone pulled my foot, I would have swum. Oh my gosh! Something landed on my body as I lay down. And I tried to escape because we had already submerged. I closed my eyes, but I felt as if someone was loading on me. I gathered all of my strength and opened my eyes to expose my body. I noticed Gianna frowning at me when I looked up. With an accusing look on my face, I looked at her.

"Do you have any plans to murder me, Gianna?" I inquired.

I know she loaded on me because this is a private location and I will not allow anyone else to enter. Her brow furrowed.

"Don't accuse me, Marcus, because you have no evidence." was her answer.
I really wanted to pull his leg out of annoyance because I was too hoarse to call him, but he ignored me, so I used what I had learned from swimming in the sea and hid under it so he couldn't see me. I noticed that his nose, ears, and eyes were all red. I felt guilty all of a sudden because I could see in his face that he was concerned about me, that he thought I was drowning. I shook my head and approached him, blowing into his red eyes while touching his face and saying,

"I'm sorry, Marcus; I didn't mean to offend you. All I ask is that you join me here. It's fine if you don't swim, but keep an eye on me over there. "I said this while pointing to the side.

I was stuck on the stand because of what Gianna had done, so I stopped myself from pulling and kissed her because she is now beautiful in my eyes and still wearing this two-piece bikini.

"All right, take a bath; I'll just stand over there with the rock to keep an eye on you." I stated.

"Thank you," she said as she hugged me.

My entire body's hair stood up. The power of this woman's influence on me was palpable. I was transported to another universe as a result of my emotions.

As I walked to the side, I shook my head. It's a good thing Carlo is wearing pajamas, a t-shirt, and a towel.

"Thank you, Carl," I said as I took my clothes.

"First, sir, I'll get you dressed. First and foremost, I'll look after your girlfriend. I promise not to look at herm."he claims.

"Stupid," I replied.
As I walked into the house, Gianna waved at me. Then I notice if there is anyone else here with us. I noticed a man in his thirties standing nearby. Even at night, he's attractive.

He wasn't looking at me, but I could tell he was watching me. First, I took a bath, and then I dressed. I went into the kitchen for a few minutes to get a beer from the fridge. I was carrying four bottles in a plastic bag and had my phone in my pocket. I was about to leave when I noticed Gianna still swimming. I shivered. What exactly is this woman's issue? Why did she have to commit suicide in the cold? Carl and I sat on the sand, and I handed him a bottle while I drank one myself. I drank it while watching Gianna swim.
Carl teased me, "Don't stare too hard, sir, that won't go away." I burst out laughing.

"She's the woman who will never be mine, Carlo, no matter what I do," I replied.

I could tell his brow was furrowed and he was perplexed by what I was saying.

"She's not my girlfriend, but she's beautiful to me." "I just felt  ashame she doesn't like me," I explained.

Carl was shaking his head, which I noticed.

"It's just a coincidence that she's going through something right now, so she's not avoiding me," I explained.

"Why is that?" Carl ask, while sipping a beer.

"Can't we be compatible, Carl? Am I too old for her?"

"She has the final say, sir, since she is the woman. She's the one to decide regarding to that matter. You should respect her decision, whatever it is." He responded.

"But if you think you still have a chance, you'll court her as much as you can because of a woman's fickleness in that decision. In short, it's difficult to understand. " Carl burst out laughing.

"She was a woman who was unlike any other woman I'd ever met. How come the women I met are so easy to please? Why do I have to pursue her in order to get her attention? What I lack in personality is that she still needs to look for others?" I said,

"I don't know either, sir, so don't ask me. Why don't you talk to her today or maybe tomorrow when you're not drunk so that she can believe everything you say.” He says.
"Are you sure? I also don't want to make a hasty decision for fear of repeating the experience I had with my ex-wife. "I stated.

"Why did you break up?"He ask.

"I'm not sure why she abruptly left me without saying goodbye. I didn't even bother asking her because what was the point? We're no longer married. She has the opportunity to live her life as she wishes. I don't want to settle down with a woman who is only concerned with herself. It's hard to trust someone nowadays because women are not serious about relationships." I said.
"That's also one of my fears, sir, of going to the wrong woman," he said quickly, gulping down the beer in his hand.

I'm still not tired of swimming, and I noticed Marcus and his companion drinking nearby, sitting on the sand.

Marcus's gaze was solely on me, filled with love and trepidation. Even if he doesn't say anything, it's clear from his actions that he thinks he likes me, but that can't be what he wants to happen. I'd suppress my feelings about him if I had to because it wasn't right. My heart isn't stone, so I won't feel strange to him, but I won't let myself fall into him.

It's a man who keeps to himself. If you don't know him well, you might not realize he's a billionaire hiding behind the mask of a simple man. I'm not sure what quality this man lacks that caused his first wife to leave him.

To summarize, this man already possesses the qualities that a woman seeks in a man. Tall, dark, and handsome, with bonus points for wealth. The woman was extremely fortunate to be able to claim him. But first, go through the needle hole before attempting to capture this man, as I'm sure there will be numerous obstacles. I took a look around. The peace and quiet of the location was a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the city. Winter didn't tell me that her father owns a beach house here. I remembered Lawrence and his wife. I didn't tell his wife anything. I have nothing to be proud of in terms of wealth. And they really fit for each other.
I don't see why that man shouldn't have her because I think her wife is almost perfect, so I'm in a bad way right now. Because he has forgotten the joys and tribulations we share. Because I know it's all part of his history. I noticed that the man had left, leaving Marcus to drink alone. I approached him after leaving  in the sea water. I sat down next to him and got a beer to drink, but he quickly snatched it away from me.

"Eat first because your stomach is empty, because you didn't eat anything when you woke up earlier," he said as he put the towel behind me.

"First, Gianna, get dressed, then come back here. Then the dress I prepare for you is on the bed in the guest room where you were sleeping earlier," he explained.
I nodd and stood up.
"All right," I said as I walked into the house.

I came across a man on his way to the beach carrying Tupperware.

"Hello, ma'am, I'm Carl, the caretaker of this beach house," he says.

"Hello, nice to meet you; my name is Gianna," I said.

As he continued walking towards Marcus, he nodded. I first went into the kitchen because I needed to get some water. Because the kitchen is easily accessible, this house is not very large. I'm making my way to the guest room.
I went inside and showered. When I emerged from the bathroom, my entire body was draped in a towel. The volume was folded over the top of the hand, which I noticed. I took it and put it on after I put on my bra, and it fit perfectly. I removed my underwear from the sling bag and changed into pajamas. I always bring extra undies because I'm not used to not being able to change when I leave the house.

I returned to Marcus's location. I took a seat next to him and noticed food on a small marble table.

"Where's Carl?" I ask.
"He said goodbye to sleep; it's not like he's not used to being a watchman; eat it, Gianna, before it gets cold; Carl  worked hard to heat this food ffor you, so you have to consume it," he laughed to me.

"You look good when you're happy," I said.

He abruptly ceased speaking and turned to face me. I sat down and ate the food that had been prepared for me.

"Take it easy, Gianna; it's not like you didn't have anything to eat earlier," he advises.
"I'm starving, Marcus, so let me go first." " I explained.

"How about you?  Are you done eating as well? " I inquired.

"A while ago, when you were sleeping," he said.

I was overjoyed by the simple fact that he and Gianna were together, because up until this point, only the two of them had a moment because he knew the next day she would treat me differently.

"Aren't you freezing?" You've been swimming in the sea for a long hour. " I asked her if we could talk for a few minutes.

"No, because when I avoid a problem, I want to punish myself so that I don't remember it." My replied.
"That's not right, because if you get sick, your problem won't be able to help you," I teased her.

"Right!" she exclaimed.

She had also finished her meal.

"I'll take care of that, Gianna," I said.

She nodded and took a seat.

"Let's go for a walk first, Marcus," she said, standing first with a bottle of beer in her hand. I went after her.

"Does this place belong to you? I don't recall Winter mentioning it to me."

"I bought it when I was your age." Even my ex-wife and children are unaware of this location. "This is my response.

"Wow, I'm lucky because I arrived first," she said cheerfully, but I could see sadness in her eyes.

"Sort of," I replied.

"I like it here because it's quiet. You can relax alone if you prefer. " She explains.

This woman is so stunning that she will look stunning even in a simple dress; she appears to be a cross between British and American ancestors.

"Where are you from, Gianna? Are you truly Filipino?" I inquired.

She stop walking.

"What kind of a question, Marcus?  Of course, I'm just a city perso. My life is devoid of all interest. I grew up on my aunt's welfare because I had no idea where the hell my parents went," she said bitterly, my brow furrowed.
